PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Lusaka Province Deputy Campaign Manager Mumbi Phiri, is shocked that the United Party for National Development (UPND) national leaders are justifying the blood letting violence that happened in Kanyama Township.
Mrs Phiri described UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema as the worst opposition leader in history.
She noted that his devious shyness to condemn violence and bloodshed is not only disappointing but a clear indication of weakness of his leadership trait.
“Pragmatic leaders take responsibility when matters go wrong in their own backyard – President Edgar Chagwa Lungu is on record for condemning wrong doing and violence against innocent citizens and party cadres,” Mrs Phiri said.
Mrs Phiri castigated the UPND Alliance Media Director Thabo Kawana who belaboured to justify the violence being perpetrated by his party supporters.
“HH doesn’t care about all you Zambians his money his is sitting in the offshore accounts, should hell break loose in this country, it will be the innocent youths to get impacted,” Mrs Phiri asked Hichilema and his UPND thugs to act responsibly.
She also expressed disappointment at the UPND Spokesman Cornellius Mweetwa for justifying violent attacks on PF cadres and other citizens who who have been caught up in the fraca.
The Lusaka Province Campaign Manager who features on SunFM Radio Programme pointed out that Zambia was a sovereign State and therefore all foreign elements should not dictate how the country should be governed when it has a functioning Constitution and all the wings of governance.
She noted that the UPND has now shifted its gear into a panic by creating anarchy with the sole motive to create fear among the electorate.
She charged the PF is aware that the UPND agenda is to push for a coalition government an opportunity squandered at the collapse of Bill 10, at the behest of the former.
Mrs Phiri further said that the PF has Ben successful in the last ten years because it has fulfilled what was outlined in its initial manifesto.
She added that the youth should brace themselves or more job opportunities as the 2021-2026 manifesto tackles industrialization.
Mrs Phiri said President Edgar Chagwa Lungu and his new government will focus on the restoration of all Major industries that were hastily sold by Hichilema with vested interests to enrich himself.
UPND are busy portraying themselves as victims of police brutality and will stop at nothing to achieve their agenda. The agenda is very clear and soon or later Zambians will realise why the army are on full alert. UPND will collaborate with anything that is hell bent on the destruction of our country just to get to power. HH’s desperation to plot one will only come back to haunt him. You create a toxic environment and expect it to go away when you are on the other side. They have tested their watermelon and will want more. Just like a lion on a rampage, you have to put a stop to it otherwise it will come back for more. The biggest disappointment in all this is that 3rd place is up for grabs but non of the other parties are showing up to offer a choice to those who may feel alienated.

Let’s call a spade a spade, we know PF have serious corruption issues, we know they’re violent elements in the party, we know that economic laundering and plundering is rampant in PF. In fact even the President admitted it himself. The question is how is UPND any different to PF when they fail to take responsibility or show leadership? a claim we hear HH accusing his counterpart day in day out? What makes UNPD the messiah party when they carry with them the same political plunderers, same violent cadres and possibly in collaboration with foreign enemies of our state. Where is the leadership in HH with regards to this political violence? Do we have to wait until he is president? seriously?
My deepest condolences to the families of the two (2) slain souls in Kanyama. I however have reservations on the comments by Madam Mumbi Phiri and the contribution by one FutureZed, they are lopsided. What has changed now? When a party sympathizer named “Gadaffi” Banda was shot and killed in Mangango by what is believed to be PF members, in the presence of some vocal contributor, the condemnation was unheard of. One life taken is one too many if we really care about Zambians as a people not only just as our party members.

What I know and have heard is UPNDs condemnation of violence and death of any Zambian due to PFs instigation. PF have brought violence to Zambia, tribalism and death. They are lucky that Zambians easily forget and get busy looking for food to survive.
From that UPND supporter shot to death in 2016, Vespers, that airforce officer, the gassing victims, Nsama and friend, the maimed and many unknown….what can we say!

The PF is very good at creating a problem and then pretending to be the saviours. They created the debt and now they pretend to be the solution. Violence is the hallmark of PF. Lungu came to lead PF through violence. He has created a cadre monster around him that is now eating his party alive. There was no UPND involved in the Kanyama killings. It has PF modus operandi written all over it.
ECL is the one with the instruments of power not HH. He can choose whether to control the situation or not. PF the Party of Fools. Their appetite for money has replaced their logical reasoning.
UPND will soon get into cry baby mode. They are preparing the atmosphere by sending out their cadre in PF regalia so that people are misled. The frequency of such incidents will only go up in days to come.
It is futile to expect this from the party that is nose deep in violence and bloodshed.
All this is the part of bigger plan. HH and UPND want to create a façade to defame the government and police ahead of voting. They will create widespread violence on August 11 and 12. That’s the plan. Then after HH is defeated, he will move court crying rigging. The cry baby is getting ready.

@Don Mwale Only one example of tribalism in PF? I will give umpteen examples in UPND. The biggest one is HH himself. He appeared out of nowhere and became party president just because he is a Tonga and appointed only tongas on crucial posts in the party.
@Tex-Mex President Lungu is doing everything to stop the violence. He is taking necessary steps for this. The decision to deploy army, was part of the process to maintain law and order.

@robbie harvard simple answer to your question is yes! These people know themselves. HH is not the richest person in Zambia by the way…people with real wealth don’t show off. This PF government is full of corrupt people but their corruption is petty compared to the Mob HH has surrounded himself with. Trouble is, we like to experiment with fire because we are yet to see the ugly side of it.
@Timba, is this now the only time that we have experienced political violence? We have seen videos of innocent people being harassed around town by PF rascals for simply expressing their political views, a basic human right. What did he do then, I ll tell you…nothing!
