Concede and hand over to HH, Tutwa Ngulube urges President Lungu

Share

Losing PF Kabwe Central Constituency Parliamentary candidate Tutwa Ngulube has urged President Edgar Lungu to quickly concede and hand over power to Hakainde Hichilema.

In a statement, Mr Ngulube, who is also PF member of the central committee and former PF deputy chief whip said the outcome of the election was obvious that there was change of government.

He noted that Zambians in the last four days had been gripped with fear and anxiety.

Mr. Ngulube said traffic had slowed down and tempers were rising.

“We in the government must handover power to the people that entrusted us to govern without a shed of blood. I wish to congratulate the new Kabwe Central MP Mrs Chrizoster Phiri and wish to support her all the way,” Mr. Ngulube said.

“While clinging on to power would benefit a few elites like friends of the President and close acquaintances like former ministers and those in the presidential inner circles, the majority of Zambians who have no means to escape will suffer serious consequences of such resistance.”

Mr. Ngulube said having lost an election himself after heavily campaigning meant that the views of the majority were more than the minority.

“We therefore wish to state that no Zambian should die because of political power. To save lives of all Zambians, we urge the President Dr Edgar Changwa Lungu to swiftly hand overpower as soon as the declaration of the winner is done,” he said.

“Using results obtained from all the constituencies as announced by the ECZ in those areas, we can safely say that the President and the PF have lost.”

Mr. Ngulube urged President Lungu to concede defeat and let the new government take over.

He congratulated “His Excellency President Hakainde Hichilema on his well-deserved win”.

“To you Mr President Hichilema, Sir, we wish you well in your new duties as Head of State and I plead with you, please, restrain all UPND cadres from engaging in acts of anger or violence,” said Mr. Ngulube.

  1. He may ne seen as a turn coat, a reneged deserter; but the beauty of conceding defeat needs to be reemphasised. Am eagerly awaiting that.

BOLA NAIPYA !!, JUST PUT YOUR TAIL BETWEEN YOUR LEGS AND COME OUT AND ACCEPT IT. NO SCHEM WILL WORK, 70% OF VOTES HAVE BEEN COUNTED AND ANNOUNCED, AND NO INDICATION THE TIDE CAN TURN AROUND.

  6. Well said Tutwa Ngulube. A true Zambian Patriot will put Zambia first before politics. ECL needs to be wise and take your advice and concede gracefully to allow for a peaceful transition.

  7. FOR ONCE , I WOULD LIKE TO AGREE WITH MY YOUNGMAN ,
I WISH I HAD HIS CONTACTS AS WE NEED TO MAKE SURE
THAT HIM AND OTHERS PUSH ON HIM, AS FAILURE TO CONCEED
AND THINKING HE CAN USE THE COURTS , WE ASK PARLIAMENT
JUST IN ITS FIRST SEATING TO REMOVE HIS HIMUNITY AND TAKE HIM
ON ALL CASES OF CORRUPTION , GASSING AND ALL OTHERS ISSUES

  9. I agree this is trully a magnanimous gesture from Tutwe. IIs also an issue of anticipated njala in the offing and a true precursor of trying to be identified with the winner. Ba UPND dont entertain these thieves you will be contaminated with thieves and corrupt Ministers.
    Disaster!!!

  10. I repeat, this is a public office which we assume when elected and vacate when diselected. Even the incoming person will leave when the people opt for another person. This stalemate is inconveniencing people in many sectors.

  11. Thanks for the good you’ve done Mr Lungu…..there’s life after politics, accept defeat n fascilitate for a smooth transition. New administration’s is got a lot on their plate regarding revival of the tanked economy.

  12. I would hate to hear people referring to our outgoing president as a Zambian David Trump because I believe he is not. I verily believe that once ECZ declares the winner, the first thing ECL will do is to concede defeat and congratulate HH for a well-deserved win. He will need to do this to avoid unnecessary tension in the country.

  14. Something must separate real men and women from baka wayawaya! Being a lawyer Ngulube should emphasize on the rule of law and every citizen subscribing to it than concern himself with cadres! Professional administration of law and salvaging it from the damage created by Lungu will restore the peace that Zambia is known as a nation!

  15. Don’t be f00Is. Let the ecz do their job. As I said, we will only accept defeat in a free and fair election, which this election was not. You think you can win by killing innocent people in your strongholds and get away with it? Those results in southern and your strongholds will be nullified. those asking where I am, ask your fellow tribesmen at lusakatimes to not moderate me if you are so desperate to hear from me, a great man. If hh forces himself in power there will be trouble in this country.. The people I pity are the non t0ngaz who voted for this ** hh

  16. Here we go…I saw UPND cadres looting and destroying PF offices at the bus terminus so it’s a continuation of the same…HH should act quick and tame his cadres coz this is not what we want as Zambians

  17. I don’t regard this as ‘magnanimous’, on the balance of all the vile things he said about the UPND, HH and Zambians at various instances – including threatening to have some people’s legs cut off. He was behaving worse than a typical cadre for one who is from the legal calling. The arrogance and taking of Zambians for granted exhibited by his like and most of the PF cohort in leadership, does not and will not endear me to his sort, regardless of this crocodile statement he makes.

  18. Regardless of the pretence of bravado, the planted @KZ has his huge useless tail between his legs. It is the ‘stand’ and sentiments, such as he/she has exhibited consistently on this forum, that convinced sensible people to get rid of his corrupt and arrogant masters. This is political dustbin material that needs to be discarded for good.

  19. The nincompoop Kaizar Zulu is hiding in a white house in Ibex Hill. Just waiting for the right time to flush him out and teach him a lesson, soon very soon.

  20. @Kaizar Zulu rears his THUG head again. Why don’t you get it in your THINK head that ECL lost the election. Zambia belongs to the people and the will of the people must be RESPECTED. The people have SPOKEN and REJECTED ECL. Your bullying pulpit is over. You definitely are a danger and threat to Society and need to be locked up. Everyone knows what you look like so you can’t hide forever. If you were a SMART person you would be laying LOW.

  21. Dont entertain Tutwa he is now looking for work and these are the same morons who thought they were untouchable when PF was in power….now he just want to HH’s attention

  22. We got misruled, cheated insulted by Lungu and his mafia gangs. Calling us with divergent views as utupuba. Threatening to arrest a political opponent. To those top cops and others who tried top prevent the will of people we shall pay you in kind.

  23. KZ iwe mudala we coming for you…we know were you are…and will get you. You have no state protection now…free like a bird. we are coming.

  24. Tutwa Ngulube should have ended at conceding defeat in his capacity. President Lungu was his superior who he should not portray as if he will refuse to handover power. Someone saying the elections were not free and fair does not mean he will refuse to hand over power. Every losing candidate uses that narative including HH has used it before. The same way HH could not prove that the 2016 elections were rigged even ECL would not be able to prove that the 2021 elections were rigged because the announced results were signed for by every political parties representative. When the presidential returning officer declares HH as winner theres no option for ECL but to hand over power gracefully but Tutwa you are one of the causer of his defeat so let more credible people to advise ECL.

  25. Well done Tutwa, that’s the way it should be. Campaigns are now over. President Hichilema must now be given space and support to deliver. When we say support we don’t mean that he should give us positions in his government. Zambia needs all over us to pull in the same direction, as long as it’s the right one. We will criticize him if we think he’s making wrong decisions. It’s now his time to deliver

  26. Tutwa, you are fired from PF. We cannot tolerate insurbodination in the party. Who gave you authority to speak on behalf of all on PF? You lost badly to a girlchild.

  27. TUTWA IS AN I D I 0 T WE dont need his advise or any contribution he may have
SAME WITH LUSAMBO HE MUST ZIP IT NOW
