FORMER defense minister George Mpombo says the new dawn government must focus on implementing its campaign promises this year.
Mpombo says the UPND campaign promises are slowly gathering dust, adding that the new dawn government must refrain from what he termed the unproductive blame game.
“Government must seriously address the crippling abject poverty and penury; their defective self-praise is not inspiring. Self-perdition and annihilation as so far as its performance remains a monumental epitome of failure,” he said.
Mpombo charged that the theatre circus of political propaganda and retribution against the opposition was squandering UPND’s political capital and setting it on a path of political self-destruction.
He further called on the former ruling party, the Patriotic Front to be focused and remain relevant in politics.
“The PF on the other hand should remain focused, remain relevant and offer checks and balances to the government as they wait for 2026,” said Mpombo.

It is very irritating when people like hh who promise you the world, lecture the entire nation and throw threats at pf whilst they are unable to show us anything they have achieved or any promises they have fulfilled. They are liars who will burn

PF failed to deliver promises for ten years after promising more money in people’s pockets and Mpombo was quite. What hypocrisy is this to falsely claim UPND is not delivering on its promises. The man has no moral authority on this one
Mwanawasa demoted him from Energy minister to deputy minister Copperbelt, this should give us an idea of who we are dealing with here.
Mpombo if you are interested in becoming PF then you just join them. Otherwise, enjoy retirement creating words that don’t exist in the dictionary or even write a book. In year 5 of HH presidency you can say what you are saying.

HH’s praise singers really amuse me!!! Honorable has given the UPND timely advise but they are calling him out to say he must leave the political stage. Look, when Venon Mwanga defended the new dawn UPND’s government performance in their 100 days the same characters remained mute!! What hypocrisy is this? Gentlemen, if we are patriots we must embrace every criticism this new government is receiving because it will help them perform better and succeed for us. Remember that they are not supper human being, they are bound to error.
