Zambian Appointed as a Vice President to a Portfolio at the World Bank

In a major development, the World Bank has appointed a Zambian National, Dr. Samuel Munzele Maimbo, as its Vice President for Budget, Performance Review and Strategic Planning. Prior to that, he served as the Chief of Staff in the Office of the World Bank President since September 2022.

Dr. Maimbo has a Ph.D. in Public Administration (Banking) from the University of Manchester, an MBA in Finance from the University of Nottingham, and a BSc. in Accounting from Copperbelt University, Zambia. He is also a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA, UK).

  2. Only f00Is think being appointed by imperialist organisations is such a huge achievement. Had he been appointed at african union or comesa it wouldn’t have made the news
