9. The resolution itself was not clear . Who is the aggressor? Hamas or Israel ?
   In the case of Ukraine vs Russia….Russia was clearly the aggressor
   In this case abstaining was the best decision.

     The Resolution is very clear. It is requesting for a halt in fighting to allow for aid to reach civilians. What more clarity can the world be asking for?
     International law demands that conflicts are as humane as possible by allowing for humanitarian corridors. That is what SADC and the rest of 120 countries voted for.

12. I salute Zambia for abstaining. Almost all countries that voted for ceasefire also failed to condemn Hamas killing of innocent Israelis, including the kidnapping. IDF is retaliating Hamas attack, while some abstained Russian aggression of Ukraine invasion, kidnapping children and indiscriminate bombing of power facilities to stave civilians in winter.

Kaunda, Mugabe and leaders of that generation did not have enormous wealth tied to foreign countries, and they could exercise independent foreign policy. If Hakainde had been in the position of Kaunda in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, we would have had the same foreign policy as that of Malawi towards South Africa.
