Chinyemba is currently in Miami, where he is attending a professional boxing training camp as part of efforts to further develop his skills on the international stage.
The achievement marks a major milestone for Zambian boxing, placing the boxer among the world’s elite amateur fighters while boosting Zambia’s standing in international boxing.
Popularly known as “Baddo,” Chinyemba has steadily climbed the international rankings through strong performances in major competitions. He represented Zambia at both the 2020 Summer Olympics and the 2024 Summer Olympics.
According to the IBA rankings, Chinyemba earned crucial points after winning the African championship and delivering notable performances at the World Boxing Championships.
One of the defining moments of his career came in Addis Ababa, where he captured the IBA African Flyweight title after defeating Theophilus Allotey of Ghana by fourth-round technical knockout during the IBA Champions Night event.
The victory showcased Chinyemba’s aggressive fighting style, speed, and powerful body punches, qualities that have helped establish him as one of the leading fighters in the flyweight category.
His rise to the top of the global rankings is considered a significant achievement, especially in a division traditionally dominated by countries such as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Cuba, and Russia.
