The Zambia Meteorological Department (ZMD) has forecast minimum temperatures ranging from 4°C and 23°C across most parts of the country.
According to the latest weekly weather bulletin issued by the department from 20th to 26th June, Zambia is expected to experience minimum temperatures across the country ranging between 4°C and 23°C.
“During the forecast period, minimum temperatures across Zambia are expected to range between 4°C and 23°C.”
ZMD further highlighted that cooler conditions are anticipated across most parts of Central Province and areas around Chama, Mafinga, Isoka, Mpika, Mungwi,
Senga Hill, Mbala, Kasama, Chipata, Vubwi, Namwala and Livingstone districts.
While comparatively, warmer temperatures are likely to be observed in Mpulungu, Nchelenge, Chiengi, Siavonga, Gwembe districts and surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, ZMD has implored water transport operators and users to suspend or exercise extreme caution when conducting activities on water bodies due to hazardous windy conditions.
The Department has further cautioned members of the public to avoid prolonged exposure to open and dusty areas.
ZMD indicated that inhaling dust may increase the risk of respiratory illnesses and related health complications.
