CAF announces draws for Zesco United and Zanaco

Zesco United are set to be the first Zambian club to make a continental football trip to South Sudan next season.

The FAZ Super Division champions will face a yet to be known South Sudan team in the preliminary round of the 2016 CAF Champions League.

Zesco will be home on in the first leg on February 13 before traveling to Juba during the weekend of February 27-28

Winner will face AS Douanes of Senegal or Guinea giants Horoya AC at home on March 13 and away March 19-20.

Victor from that first round tie will play either Coton Sport of Cameroon who await preliminary round result between Racing Club Bobo of Burkina Faso and Stade Malien of Mali for a place in the group stage.

Meanwhile, in the Confederation Cup, Zanaco enjoy a preliminary round bye and will enter the fry in March.

Zanaco await the winner of the first round tie between Harare City of Zimbabwe and AS Adema of Madagascar.

Esperance are their likely opponent in the second round who await Chad’s representative or New Stars de Douala of Cameroon.
