The Patriotic Front -PF- has challenged veteran politician, Vernon Mwaanga to report his fears about rigging to the Police and the Electoral Commission of Zambia -ECZ-.
PF Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri says it is shocking that Dr. Mwaanga has chosen to be used by the Post Newspaper whose agenda is to frustrate President Edigar Lungu and his government.
Mrs. Phiri told ZNBC in an interview in Lusaka today that it is sad that the Post Newspaper using some unsuspecting politicians are attempting to mislead Zambians that the PF will rig the August 11 elections.
She said President Lungu will win the August General election without rigging as suggested by some section of the media.
And Chief Government Spokesperson, Chishimba Kambwili says the Patriotic front -PF- government is committed to run a transparent, free and fair elections.
Mr. Kambwili told ZNBC News in an interview that President EDGAR LUNGU has promised Zambians that he will not circumvent the will of the people.
He said the PF government upholds high levels of integrity and is resolved to practice decent politics at all costs.
Mr. KAMBWILI who is also Information and Broadcasting Minister said veteran politician Vernon Mwaanga’ should tell Zambians how elections are rigged.
Meanwhile Provincial Chairperson, Horace Longwe says there is need for PF youths to start mobilizing themselves and explain development projects the party has done.
Addressing youths in Mandevu constituency this afternoon, Mr. LONGWE also warned the youths against engaging in violence saying he has already expelled violent members from the party who have since been welcomed by the opposition.
Mr. Longwe has also advised Veteran Politician Vernon Mwaanga who has been talking about rigging that the counting of ballots in Zambia has changed and does not allow space for rigging.
And PF Lusaka Province Chairlady Maggie Mumba says a party with a weak youth unit is not a party as youths and women work hard.
Meanwhile Lusaka Province Youth Chairman, Kennedy Kamba has called on youths to work hard and ensure that President LUNGU wins by over 65 percent this year.

The only way to ensure free and fair elections in August this year is to make sure effective parallel voting involving the international observers is allowed to montor the talling of presidential votes at mulungushi.
Voters registers must be audited starting now and copies held by ECZ published a month in advance to make sure all people registered are there. We dont want a case where people who have always voted to be turned away because their names are not on the register.
The auditing of voters register must be done because the manner in which the register was compiled last year was dodgy.
PF will rig elections by denying voters in oppositon strongholds from voting by deleting thousands off the voters register after seeing how close HH came to winning in 2015.

I urge all stake holders in opposition to demand an audit of voters register without fail. We dont want blood shed this year, no. Blood shed can be avoided by running a clean campaign and fair elections.
Audits must be carried out at all polling stations starting now by calling all eligible voters to attend the auditing and verification process. All interested parties to send their trusted agents to monitor the exercise to completion.I know PF will float a lack of resources excuse but grand coalition can source the money to fund the exercise without PF spending a dime on the exercise.
If started in April the auditing can be completed by end of July in readiness for elections.

ECL is facing statistically and strategically weak souls who think they could use Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM)’s template in Zambia. Go ask Mozambique’s Afonso Dhlakama if Renamo has scored with that template. They are very weak and vulnerable if they have to shove anarchy on the throats of Zambians.

The question is has the elections process been transparent and fair to all local stakeholders that is what every rational Zambian citizen should be addressing. Measures need to be put in place that provides confidence to all Zambians that whichever party wins the elections won on a clean plate, no need for unnecessary tension due to a purported broken process. The election process needs to be audited by competent Auditors of good standing who have ethics and morals.

What every patriotic Zambian needs to be assessing is whether every Political Party has the same opportunity to interact with the electorates. Why can’t Zambians learn from developed countries who are not using the Public Order Act to deny opposition parties to interact with the electorate. In face in developed countries opponents can even protest near a Campaign without lives being lost, that is democracy. Opposition Parties need to start suing the police in their individual capacities for denying them the freedom of Assembly and should demand for damages to be recovered for lost time.
