So, how much are these prayers and fasting costing the nation?. How does this please God, when we could use these resources to provide some porridge in the 3rd hungriest nation in the world.
I concur.
Fu.llishness, waste money by not working and expect God to bless you, How much was lost by making people pray, Two hands working are better than a million hands crunched together in prayer. God says i will bless the work of your hands and yet you have a leader who sends people to stay at home and pay them for doing nothing.

@Pretty last year after praying Zambia received a miracle from God. We received rains in the middle of an Elnino weather pattern. Elnino ravaged all southern Africa states. That is why our neighbors are scrambling for our GMO free maize .ELNINO is known to bring heat and drought. In Zambia it changed shape and form .It brought heat but did not bring drought. Why… because Zambians realised it is only God who can heal our land and bring rains. So we humbled ourselves and prayed and God heard our prayers. He blessed us with rains. Well do your cost and benefit analysis if you so wish. We have as a result of last year’s prayers sold agri products worth usd220million . I suppose this is a matter of faith….We only hope you will join us to pray next time so that we can receive more rains…
@Chiweme,
I suggest you send a letter to SADC and tell them about God’s blessing after the national prayers. Ask @Patriotic Flont to deliver the letter to Mugabe.
wow.. this is a nation full of love of God. Imagine the whole nation just having a holiday to fast and pray!!! the rains we had was a miracle last year praise be to God!!!
How much did the nation spend mmmm Zero… There was no food. They where just praying and fasting.. Maybe transport for the president and government officials.. mmmmm No even if they where not praing and fasing they should have been traviling going to some other government duties…
How much then… Nothing was spent
It is always good to be in the presence of the Lord. I never miss an opportunity to worship my Lord and MY GOD JEHOVAH!
I would also add with a repentant heart otherwise, it’s difficult to worship.
Hypocrites.
Ati Rev, Sonye! hahahhahahahaha ninshi balenyafye amafi mailo ati prayers te?
The devil receives also prayers. The spirit of the devil is the one people are praying to because people behind the event are simply a bunch of hypocrites trying to hoodwink the people into thinking they are men of God when they are nothing but men of gold, money, power, corruption, intolerance, hate, greed, vanity and so on and so forth
Agreed entirely. Are you Mr Mmembe, BTW? You see what misery your support of PF in 2011 has brought us and yourself now?
What a huge flop. Only hundreds attended. Where are all the millions of PF00Ls? After taunting HH & UPND for refusing to attend then u fail to go pray to your small-god LUNGU.
Maybe U didn’t have money for fuel/taxi fares after the increases. Its Dununa Reverse zoona. Kikikikiki
Next year’s event will be worse. By then IMF Policies will in full force whilst the humble vision-less hypocritical dictator will show his true colours:
– High electricity tariffs
– Higher fuel price
– High mealie-meal prices
– PF Police brutality
– worse unemployment
Folly of the highest order!!
The reasons why Africans are the most religious people in the world are not far fetched. Africans go through religious indoctrination from cradle to grave. Africans are not allowed by family, society and the state to think, reason or live outside the religious box. In Africa religion is by force not by choice.
Africans profess all sorts of religious crap even when they know it is all nonsense.
I now know why I don’t like church. It’s because religion was designed to keep people stoopid and stop asking questions. In other words religion stops people from thinking outside the box. I am too intelligent for that kind of crap!
Biggest scam on poor people in Africa: Religion/Christianity.
Biggest scammers “Priests/prophets, pastors, etc.” have been given a day! SMH
National Day of Prayer does not make any sense. You MoFo’s are going to take a day off from working for the people to ask your ‘god’ to intervene in your failure to work for the people. Separate state and church.
When is the greatest con (RELIGION) ever going to end?
50 years? 1000 years? Never?

What does the National Day of Prayer and Fasting achieve? The prayers could have been said at peoples work places instead of disrupting essential labour. Prayer without effort is not going to develop our nation.
Who ever attended the so called day of prayer and reconciliation did so for his pocket coz there can never be reconciliation wen large numbers of innocent people are bundled in dirty prisons leaving their families exposed to massive poverty. Assess the capability of whoever attended and in who’s interest?
