Zesco take control of FAZ Super Division

Zesco United have taken charge of the 2017 FAZ Super Division table after beating Nakambala Leopards away in Mazabuka on Wednesday.

Zesco beat Nakambala 1-0 in the two sides rescheduled Week 2 fixture to collect maximum points from the first three rounds games of the 2017 season.

Defender Fackson Kapumbu scored in the 45th minute to end Nakambala’s unbeaten and promising start to the season that saw them start with a 1-1 away draw at Nkana and later 1-0 win over Green Buffaloes last Sunday in Lusaka.

Zesco move from second to first to shift two points clear on 9 points, after exchanging places with Lumwana Radiants.

Meanwhile, the victory is a massive lift for Zesco ahead of their April 30 away date against Nkana in the big Copperbelt derby in Kitwe.
