Opposition APC President Nason Msoni
All People’s Congress Party president Nason Msoni says President Lungu’s unguided outbursts against Western diplomats (donors) is worrying and totally unjustified.

And the opposition leader has said that the politics being played by President Lungu are ancient politics which will back fire.

In a statement issued to the media, Mr Msoni said the country is worse off now than it was before the PF party took-over the reins of government.

He whilst President Lungu no-longer needs aid, the citizens desperately need it hence making his continued attacks against the donors highly reckless and myopic.

“This sovereign thing he keeps singing is not a new invention nor is it an enclosure for political mischief. Western diplomats in fact understand it a lot better than he probably does.

“Basically what they’re saying is that political stability must be sustained within the framework of the rule of law. It serves no ones interest to use the veil of the Judiciary to punish opponents.”

He said the mandate President Lungu got from Zambians was not for retribution on his local opponents but for uplifting the living standards of the people.

He wondered whether the there was more to the President’s public statements lately than meets the eye as his outbursts maybe pointing to a far bigger personal challenge than people may be thinking which might possibly require urgent medical attention.

“It maybe prudent to suggest that he be subjected to assessment to ally any fears or indeed legitimate concerns and also to reassure the Zambian public that the President is still enjoying a sound mind and can continue to discharge his duties as normally.

“From our stand point of view his statements are betraying his own position as the custodian of our peoples welfare. If aid is withdrawn what will happen to the ordinary citizens whose longevity is subject to a constant supply of donor funded medications.”

And Mr Msoni has said that the politics of no mercy which he alleged President Lungu to be practicing may be fire in future.

“The serious misjudgment to attack western diplomats is born out of increasing frustration that they all appear to be telling him to do the right thing. We think that the most difficult decision is to continue ignoring and defying common sense. A time to cage opponents who have committed no wrong belong to the past. The world is crying out for Justice and he must heed that call and do the decent thing.

“Politics of no mercy always have a tendency to backfire and bounce back right in your face. When your turn comes around similarly expect no mercy. It will be tit-for-tat,” said the opposition leader.

  1. Worrying? You give him too much credit. His outbursts are a leprosy to humanity. He is like a teenager on sugar intoxication.

    • Whenever I am sad I insult my employers and caution my subordinates like crazy. So I come to LT cheer me up. But what I find is a SADIST Edgar.
Where is the “dancing-drunk and happy” Lungu? Give him a beer back please, enjoy life Ba Edgar…

    • Unguarded or unguided outbursts? Well which ever ba Msoni, would you really prefer that Edgar indulges in guided outbursts towards other people? …

    • Truth hurts: M’soni can’t handle it. Well Zambia shall not depend on donors always. Even the so called donors will one day get fed up. The truth should be spelled out as it is. We need you disgruntled citizens to get hold of civility. If where you come from, respect for authority means nothing, welcome to the club. You need reshaping. I don’t see outbursts from ECL but hot facts you cannot cope with.

    • Lungu has managed to turn Zambia toxic under his watch. PF will dance to an ending soon with Amos as the lead signer.

    • EL will have a sad ending….He needs to find time to reflect, and reflect seriously and stop being blinded by scavengers around him. You cant have a guy hallucinating that some former colonialists are grouping up to take over Africa. Exactly Museveni and Mugabe; his mentors…But what can we expect from a man in his late 50s who have made his family a destitude family in Chawama even when he had university degree..extremely disheartening.

    • M’soni has won my respect, we have a maniac at state house for sure.
Unfortunately Many ediots have blind support for financial benefits. This is time for men of integrity to speak up.
      God help Zambia.

    • Lungu is an embarrassment surronded by embarrassments.Thank you Msoni for telling him. Zambia is bigger than Lungu. As matter of fact his the worst thing to ever happen to the country – no direction with his focus on HH. How resources are going into bribery and those officers guarging HH? Further let him explain why the police arrested a person without a warranty or investigation. The arresting officer for all charges was caught lying and forced to apologize. What does this say about the arrest or motive at midnight when they went to HH’s house. The truth is that Lungu fears the petition. If he really won let the evidence in court show not abusing state institutions to avoid people questioning his victory

    • ZAMBIA IS A SOVEREIGN COUNTRY AND MUST BE RESPECTED BY THE WEST AS THEY RESPECT COUNTRIES AMONG THEMSELVES.

  2. PF just asked Turkey to teach them how to clean streets, even after chasing away vendors.
And why Turkey be their PF trash bin donors, of all countries?

  3. and this from a so called Christian, Lungu needs to understand that Jehova God cannot be mocked. I will continue to pray for HH, his wife and children and I am not UPND but a human being with a conscious. History has way of repeating itself

  4. There is nowhere where the President has demeaned or disrespected donors – Mr. Msoni, that is what happens when your source of news is Watchdog, Zambia Eye, and the related gutter press that is all bent on disseminating fake news about the President and the Zambian people.

  5. I was at one of Lusaka’s most expensive bars last night and was part of a very vocal debate on what is the hardest job in zambia. We had lawyers, doctors, strategists (like myself) etc present and we couldnt agree on who had the toughest job. It was not until a PF cadre by the name of dominic phiri walked in and claimed that he had the toughest job. To my surprise he actually did convince me and everyone there that he had the toughest job. The reason for this is that he explained that it is not easy to defend a party like the PF which continues to mess up even when pointed in the right direction. I really did feel pity for the guy and even bought him a few rounds. I now feel for cadres like ndanje and terrible. These guys are really stressed defending an illegal failed party. we have you…

    • You had a nice conversation with a PF cadre – and he convinced you!! So, after all, PF cadres are quite intelligent contrary to what you have made us believe. That is really good to know.

    • One Zambia

Intelligent PF cadres are few and far between and are overruled by thugs like Keizer Zulu, Ben mwila…..

  6. UPND STARTED PLAYING THE DONOR CARD A LONG TIME AGO. THE DONORS UNFORTUNATELY FOR HIM HAVE NOT COME TO HIS RESCUE APART FROM THEIR NON-BINDING PASSIVE COMMENTS WHILE THEY ARE SIPPING COFFEE AS HH LANGUISHES IN JAIL. THESE DONORS ARE THE ONES WHO MONITORED THE ELECTIONS AND THEY FOUND THEM CREDIBLE AND THUS RECOGNIZED ECL AS ZAMBIA’S PRESIDENT. WE ARE NOT FOOLS. YOU CANNOT USE DONORS AS A WORD TO THREATEN US AND CONTINUE DISRESPECTING OUR COUNTRY. WHERE IS YOUR PRIDE AS A NATION? MWANAWASA AT ONE TIME REJECTED TO ACCEPT GMO MAIZE. THAT IS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE PROUD OF YOUR NATION. YES WE MAY BE POOR, BUT WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE TREATED LIKE TRASH. THANK GOD THAT BTHE DONORS YOU ARE USING KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT ZAMBIA. NO WONDER THEY ARE JUST PASSING NON-BINDING, PASSIVE, NON-COMMITAL COMMENTS.

  7. Lungu you are already a multi billionaire, why you made $2.3 million in your first few months in state house.
You will not suffer if donners with draw their aid, it is the common Zambians that will be dying like flies, already 300 + die in UTH each month and you want them to cut out the aid keeping most alive ???

  8. Well said Mr Msoni. Lungu is reeling under severe pressure. The Lenders and the Donors have told Lungu to release HH and his Workers from Jail unconditionally becoz they are innocent. Those Treason Charges are Trumped Up and politically motivated. Lungu is now cutting off his nose to spite his face. Illegitimacy is now haunting Lungu and he is wondering why everything around him is falling apart. Lungu should get himself out of this self inflicted predicament and Release HH unconditionally and start Dialogue with him. U have been diving and ducking over the Petition Hearing. Let the Petition be heard in Court so that peace can return to our land.

    • Lungu has nothing to worry about. He knows very soon his AIDS/HIV will soon take him and he is very sure about that.

    • Surely, are you saying that the moron did nothing contrally to the laws of the land? What if Lungu had done the same to the moron, utopiaing the moron was the president?T.
The Zambians, especially well do, always want free things. They hate hard work and frankness. These are the agents of the former colonial ruler who want to enter our country using the back door!!Mature mr. opposition leader. The donations have strings tied to them!!!!!!!

    • I doubt the reliability of your statements and claims. No donor would give such conditions after watching the video of Hichilema defying giving way to the president whom, unfortunately for they recognise. Just accept the status quo, and stop living in denial. I wonder who needs a psychiatrist here.

  9. Remember what happened after Mugabe told off Tony Blair: “So Blair, keep your England and let me keep my Zimbabwe”.

lungu needs to check his big mouth. His careless reckless statements won’t affect him but the poor people.

Look at how zimbabwean teachers, nurses, lawyers have become destitutes & are now prost!tutes in l/stone & lusaka & all neighbouring countries whilst Grace Mugabe still shops in dubai & singapore.

  10. What ” politics of no mercy” is this guy talking about? Little wonder these brief case political parties never graduate from their siting rooms. These leaders just talk because they must talk, they are not responsible for anything.

  11. Msoni, stop being a bore. If you make a case for The Rule of Law, then you are on the Presidents’ side and the Law.

The fact is breaches in the rule of law is do by opposition parties such as UPND and small timers like yourselves. Citizens need to reject Western influence in our affairs.

    • @patriot abroad… undress your clothes and stop drinking lagers and wines and whiskys. Go back to the roots and take no western medicines if you want to let go of the western influence.

  12. All failed states this side of z world have one thing in common -seeing conspirancies by oppostion leaders led by colonialist and imperialists. Kaunda suffered from this disease, mugabe as well. In the meantime their country goes under exposing citizens to untold hardships. But for z “great leader” kaunda, mugabe or mr lungu wining and dining unrebased! Did we not hear kaunda call donors stupid *****s? How was zambia by time kaunda was kicked out? Thank God zambians have no memory- not short memory as mwanawasa put it! Currently zambia of mr lungu is exactly on z road to kaunda’s zambia, only hardships can be expected

    • There is no failed state in Zambia. I know its the issue of a Tonga president which you all brothers from the south and western provinces are itching for. It will happen, do not give up hope. But taking away Edgar Lungu away from state house through international sanctions will never be the solution. If that happens do not ever think we are safe, it means even HH will face the same tune. Lets us unit against imperialist. They want us to be fighting as they take away our copper. Do not think they mean well even to HH. The do not. There are no differences between our languages gentle men. Take any Zambian woman to bed, they dance same ways. There is no greeting in Zambia which is completely different in words. They all start with ‘mwa’ In Tonga, its mwaubuka ubuti, in Tumbuka its…

    • @perfect: spot on. It is a power struggle. The tongas were so close to taking power for the first time but the eastern/northern alliance dashed their hopes again. Even I was ready to abandon PF and vote for hh when MCS died as I feared having Winter/Kambwili/GBM in state house. The tongas are angry at the rest of the country for not voting for hh and choosing this newcomer from Chawama who has no heritage according to them. But a check on ECL convinced me and millions that he was the right candidate and that is why MCS, a political genius, picked on him and not Kambwili and fired Winter.
“Take any Zambian woman to bed, they dance same ways”-SPOT ON, BROTHER!!!!!!!…kwekwekwekwekwe….

  13. Comment:
There never was a time in living memory when Msoni said anything prudent or sensible about Lungu and PF. Always bitter stuff from this Msoni chap.

    • Do not be happy when you get aid from white man. Be proud of yourselves. It will never change anything even if you take away Edgar Lungu and bring HH at state house for as long as you are still seeking for Aid, you will still be the same. I hate a white man with passion. Let him keep his England. I don not need it

  14. Sometimes, I cry for an African child. You think giving you Aid is better? Its like asking a dog whether he likes scrubs thrown at him. I doubt it. Its just that a dog has no capacity to work but to be given scrubs. People of Zambia and Africa, a white man has not mercy on you. He steals day light you are seeing after he has made profit he brings same profit to you to portray he loves you. He does not. Its better to die of hunger than to eat scrubs. Even if you change leadership, for as long as you still depend on a white mans Aid, thing will make you better. Tell a white man to get out. Tell him to stay with his aid while we die from hunger. Only the strongest will survive. I would rather have strong people in a country who can survive than have weak people living depending on a white…

  15. Is this not how Mugabe managed to ruin the once economically sound country Zimbabwe? Here the fools will not be allowed to lead us into the Zimbabwe dungeon. Stupid *****s.

  16. Zambia must learn to shape her own destiny this dependency culture is worrying.I support the president on this let us learn to work hard.

  17. Mr Nsoni, President Lungu has our mandate, what about you, from what position are you speaking? You are not Presidential or Excellency material, so you wouldnt know why Presidents act like that would you? Do you think even President Zuma would retreat into a corner when his country is attacked by foreigners for no reason at all? We cipuba we, ici nangwa.

    • His party doesn’t even have a councillor on record. The way you see him, that is APC. Unfortunately, this is the 1diot that has excited the donkeys above, no wonder they keep losing elections!!!

  18. This is what happens when people allow crooks to occupy offices they never planed to be in. Accidental leaders with no clue of what good governance is. The country is now being put in the same plate as Somalia and other banana republics. Shame on you PF thugs.

  19. Never think of the moron to be the president of Zambia for he will actualize the auctioned promissory investment opportunities to these foreign infesters in whose companies the moron and his chiefs have lions’shares.Beware of the businessmen be coming governors.

  20. Either Edgar is sick as they say or he has been stopped to drink. he is very angry with himself and projecting it to others. Give him his beer and let him dance for God’s sake and he will have no time to punish others for nothing.

  21. “He wondered whether the there was more to the President’s public statements lately than meets the eye as his outbursts maybe pointing to a far bigger personal challenge than people may be thinking which might possibly require urgent medical attention.”

  22. The caliber of opposition parties and their leaders in Zambia is pathetic and bring “insoni” or shameWho can vote for these chaps?

  23. The unfortunate comments are just as hollow and shallow like the tribalists we see here daily from Hazaluza Hagain Party.

  24. Hichilema stirred hornets by disrespecting the highway code in regards to presidential convoy. Even the British Commissioner mentioned that “his conduct was provocative” by disregarding the presidential motorcade. Though he also mentioned that “the police’s actions were heavy handed.” Hichilema, like Msoni, wishes the donors to withdraw aid as their political stepping-stone to the state house. These guys seem bent on doing everything just to gain their political mileage. The problem is that if you got to power by teaching your follower hatred things would backfire. Zambia is not for Hichilena, Lungu or Scot; it is for all people regardless of tribe, political affiliation, or so.
