Zesco United captain Jacob Banda says they do not intend to leave CRD Libolo on Tuesday with a loss.
The Ndola side takes on Libolo in a 2017 CAF Confederation Cup Group C match at Calulo in Angola hoping to stay top of their pool.
Zesco enjoy a two point lead in Group C with 6 points with Egyptian Smouha and Al Hilal of Obied of Sudan are 2nd and 3rd respectively tied on 4 points.
Libolo are bottom on 3 points after losing 1-0 away to Zesco on June 4 and 2-0 at Smouha on May 24.
“We expect a tough game in Angola. I think it won’t be easy but we are focused and determined to get a positive result other than losing,” Banda said.
Banda also believes that the team as enough depth to replace the three key players who will miss the match.
Striker Jesse Were is injured while midfielder Kondwani Mtonga and Anthony Akumu are suspended.
But with Idris Mbombo is showing signs of finally finding his scoring touch after netting the winner against Libolo and in last Wednesday’s home league win over Real Nakonde, the DR Congo-born striker is expected to lead the charge in Calulo.
Meanwhile, Smouha will visit Obeid in Sudan on Tuesday night in Sudan.
