A civic leader MacDonald Chipenzi says it is gratifying that Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is doing everything possible under limited resources in fighting corruption in the country.

Mr Chipenzi says the ACC has in recent times endeavored investigate and bring to book a number of corruption cases irrespective of the suspects’ social- economic class or political affiliation saying this was commendable.

He paid homage to the Commission to for its tenacity and commitment to arrest all perpetrators of corruption in the country which he said has remained un abated for a long time.

ZANIS reports that Mr Chipenzi said that despite facing several challenges in bringing culprits to book, the ACC it has made strides in arresting high profile cases which are currently in courts of law.

The outspoken civil rights activist has however, advised the ACC should pull up its socks by promptly following up cases as opposed to investigating cases ten years after their occurrence.

Mr Chipenzi also called on Zambians to give the ACC full support t in its quest to fight corruption in Zambia by giving relevant information to the authority which will lead to more culprits brought to book.

He said corruption is retrogressive as it retards development, which many Zambians are yearning to see and urged all the citizens of this country to participate fully in the fight against the vice by helping the ACC giving information leading to arrest of corrupt culprits.
