Coke Studio unveils 2017 broadcast dates

The excitement is mounting as Coca-Cola unveils the much anticipated broadcast dates for its latest season of Coke Studio, a popular continent-wide music TV show which brings great African talent together to create fresh and interesting music.
Kuichaila hip hop artist Slapdee will fly the flag for Zambia on the fifth series, on August 12^th 2017 when the show will be aired in over 30 countries across Africa, including DSTV’s Zambezi Magic in South Africa, which covers the SADC region.
Recorded on location in Nairobi, the artistes were supported by a world-class production team in the back-end production process.

Celebrated Zambian hip hop artiste Slapdee, who is collaborating with South African singer Busiswa in the show, will first feature in the second episode. The duo’s performance throwback will air on August 19 in Malawi, Namibia and on Zambezi Magic, and on August 22 in on ZTV in Zimbabwe. It will then air on QTV in Zambia and on eBotswana in Botswana on August 25.
Slapdee and Busiswa will then return in Episode 9 with cover tracks, which will air on October 7 in Malawi, Namibia and on Zambezi Magic, on October 10 in Zimbabwe and on October 13 in Botswana and Zimbabwe.
For the Lusophone market, Slapdee and Busiswa’s performance will air on August 26 on Record TV in Angola.
This year Coke Studio has merged Coke Studio Africa and Coke Studio South Africa into one-bigger and better – Coke Studio Africa 2017.  The merger increases the number of participating countries to 16, up from 11 in the previous edition. The show promises to be a melting pot of musical talent, bringing together renowned music producers and top-notch artistes drawn from various parts of the continent.
All 11 episodes will be aired on QTVin Zambia, Times TV in Malawi, on eBotswana in Botswana while in Nambia and Zimbabwe it will air on One Africa TV and ZTV, respectively.
