Chief Moonze of the Tonga Speaking in Southern Province has stated that the annual Gonde Lwiindi traditional ceremony for the Tonga speaking people will take place soon.
Chief Moonze says the Gonde Lwiindi ceremony organanising committee will soon announce the dates once they are decided.
He explained that the ceremony was not cancelled but postponed to a later date due to matters he called sensitive.
The traditional leader said the committee now can go ahead with organising the ceremony with a free mind, especially that the Patron Hakainde Hichilema is no longer in prison.
He has advised his subjects not to panic as everything is being taken care of and handled properly by the committee.
HH will be there. The president will be there.
Something is got to give.

ECL is cordially invited, and HH being the Patron, will be the last person in that line of distinguished guests that ECL will have to shake hands with. And as such, will sit beside each other. So I am curious, will ECL have the g… to shake HH hand?
BTW, to you dumb analysts who do not think outside the box, this event actually can be the catalyst and serve as the beginning of those dialogue discussions you are calling for. By initially cancelling it, the owners were confirming that this ceremony is incompatible with national values, national culture, and national protocol. I am sure it has been taken out of the national calender of ceremonies.

What is the meaning of this traditional ceremony? I thought that these cremonies follow calender seasons. If the season is gone why not wait for next year. Yaba these things are becoming political.

To me and I stand to be corrected, our chiefs are just showing how tribal they’re. They are not interested in reconciliation as long as HH is not president. 2021 will be bad and I urge non Southern Zambians to live the province during the elections especially if HH loses again.

If ECL is the President of Zambia, then he should attend. If he doesn’t, then is good to be called a coward, and will just confirm that he is the PF President and not Zambian President. Of course, he will not be allowed to raise that fist which he does even when campaign is over long time ago.
