Chambeshi salutes Nkana ‘s derby triumph

Coach Beston Chambeshi has hailed Nkana’s 1-0 victory over Power Dynamos in the Kitwe derby played at Arthur Davies Stadium on Saturday.

Striker Walter Bwalya scored a second half goal as Nkana overcame Power in this Week 31 match of the FAZ Super Division.

Power beat Nkana 2-1 in the first leg match played at Nkana Stadium in Wusakile earlier in the season.

“I salute my boys, the technical staff and our supporters. Arthur Davies Stadium even years back its been like our home ground.
So I didn’t think we were going to lose here. We just came here to play and collect maximum points,” Chambeshi said.

The win moved Nkana one slot up into fifth place as they increased their tally to 52 points after 31 matches played.

“This is a morale booster as we target a top four finish,” Chambeshi said.

Power coach Dan Kabwe wants his side to move on after the derby loss.

“We have to look at the coming games. We have to analyse our mistakes and correct them. We were a bit casual from the midfield and going up, that is where they capitalised,” Kabwe said.

Power drops one place down to sixth place and remain on 51 points after playing 31 matches.
