  1. Too bad, we have so much land in our country. We need the council to up their game and serve people diligently. There is no justification for Zambians to die over land, this is not China.

    • They’re busy allocating themselves plots to care about the poor souls like Hudson. May his soul rest in peace.

  2. This same thing happened to our family. Squatters have taken over our farmland in mkushi and as l write, there’s complete destruction of trees for malasha. We reported the matter to Kapiri Police and even availed them our Tittle Deeds to prove this is our Land. We told them this is a simple matter of “criminal trespass” but sadly, they told us they had no fuel and todate, nothing has materialised. One of our family members had his car stoned and chased away when he went to check on the damage done to the grave sight where are late Dad is interred. That is Zambia for you.

    • Some years back former MP was killed on his land by squatters when he tried to evict them. Sadly enough the instigator and chief culprit was a woman. Just this a ward councilor was threatened by people illegally squatting on land in the Kamfinsa area. Yes councils must be ever active where land issues are concerned.
