Chinama cautions leaders Mighty over promotion race

Mufulira Wanderers Coach Justin Chinama has cautioned Mighty against complaisancy after opening a five point lead at the top of the FAZ Division One Zone Two table.

Mighty have 43 points, five ahead of second placed Indeni, after 18 matches played.

Wanderers are targeting a speedy return to the FAZ Super Division after suffering demotion last season.

“I wish to encourage the boys not to relax. It is still a long way to go. 12 games remaining in the season but I hope we maintain our focus,” Chinama said.

Impressive Wanderers have posted 13 wins, four draws and one loss from 18 matches played.

“We are working as a team. The executive, the technical bench and players we are working as a unit that is why you are seeing those results,” Chinama said.

Charismatic trainer Chinama is famous for helping Green Eagles to win promotion back to the Super Division in 2013.

“Our main aim is to win promotion. Let the fans continue rallying behind us. We are number one in terms of having soccer fans,” the ex-Green Buffaloes coach said.
