Transparency International Zambia (TIZ) has advised government to heed to the Oasis Forum’s advice of relieving republican vice president George Kunda off his duties.
TIZ President Rueben Lifuka says Mr. George Kunda, who is also Justice Minister, should take responsibility for the failed constitution as he has been at the helm of the whole process that was widely unaccepted by society.
Mr. Lifuka says the failure by to take responsibility will give an impression that public resources can be wasted and no one can be held accountable.
In an interview with QFM, Mr. Lifuka says TIZ still stands by its early call on Mr. Kunda to resign as his resignation will send a strong signal to anyone who will take charge of the constitution making process that it is a serious national process which needs to be addresses in a non-partisan manner.
Recently, the Oasis Forum demanded the resignation of republican vice president George Kunda for failing Zambians on the constitution making process and advised government to constitute a lean committee to deliberate on the Mung’omba draft constitution to see the way forward.
QFM
Ok, first things first.  To start with,  before you start asking for the resignation of red lips Kunda, you must first lose some weight. Why put on some much weight like you are trying to hide some disease? And when you drop dead because of  stroke, your useless supporters will start boring us with conspiracy theories about how MMD killed you when in actual fact you are just indisciplined and can’t put controls on your throat but just swallow all the junk that shows up on your mouth.
OK back to the story, come on man, this issue has been beaten dead and is a dead issue. Do you live in Africa or what? Where did you ever hear that a leader in Africa has resigned on moral grounds. In Africa leaders never resign, they get booted out or get fired. So stop wasting our time with words…
It must surely have sunk in your fat head Mr Lifuka, that Governmen does not and will never dance to your whims. If you are bent on disturbalising govt, be rest assured that you will not succeed. Tell that to your masters.
Teti mulande ifya mano, mwali inisha. Please shave of some fat, for health’s sake.
You have said it all bloggers, comment reserved for this obese mate
Lifuka is funded primarily by foreign state entities and this leaves him morally compromised on Zambia. That’s a shame, if not a conspiracy. Lifuka’s comments reveal a fundamental ignorance of history and contempt for the Zambian people. TIZ was one of the organisations that fought for and received sitting allowances from the constituent assembly. Why should George Kunda resign for the failed constitution bill when it was PF MPs that voted down the bill? One of the key elements of the bill was the proposal for dual nationality for Zambians in the Diaspora. The bill was also candid on gay rights.
Just because the first blogger is mean to Lifuka’s person does not mean that all you guys should put aside your brains and follow suit. Comment on the story. Handling the constitution making progress from a partisan approach failed the people of Zambia. Resources were wasted because red lpis gk was selfish and was only interested in perpetuating his stay in power. That selfishness should be punished and whoever comes into power this year should handle the constitution making process with the seriousness it deserves. Unfortunately, African leaders don’t resign on moral grounds.
George has no morals and he can’t resign. The best is just to give the guy the boot in the coming elections by our voters in Muchinga. RB could have booted him out, but I believe tim eis too short for both of them. Let them eat and enjoy for now. Their time to account for their mischiefs will come soon than later.Kamulya kamuseka!
Bane being fat does not mean tawakwata amano that is wrong.we have professors, doctors, accountants, engeneers name it who have big bodies.so what am trying to say is that make comments on the subject than attacking the individual that is being backward.check your education levels, i wonder if you are learned enough to make such silly comments on an individual and not on the subject matter.Zambians when are we gonna change and contribute sense to such important issues?shame on you.
PF is the one that blocked the new constitution. PF is entirely to blame for the failed constitution bill. They denied us dual citizenship, fixed election date, 90 day period for inauguration after a person wins a presidential election, more representation in parliament for women, youth and the disabled…etc. PF denied us a lot of good clauses. I think TIZ is politicking here. Can we now trust TIZ to give us reliable data regarding the CPI if they can take part in partisan politics like this.
TIZ is compromised.
# 6 you are very right what i have noticed is that blogger’s follow blindly what the first blogger has posted, if its an insult then hey all follow suit, if he or she praises then they all praise. too bad.post your own .
yes PF is responsible for blocking the new constitution. Can they please explain to us zambians especially those of us who have waited so long for dual citizenship.I think we should reduce the number of PF Mps in government.Lets vote for Mps from those parties lead by young people.-Elias Chipimo et al
#6 & 10 u know guys pipo just say rabbish without thinking and thats bad.Personaly am not happy about the attack on the individual and not the subject its very retrogresive and barckward thinking.Shame on u once more # 1,2 and 3.
Chi dumbo saladi kapompo mafi,Chi mudala kuyina monga chituvi thats why he is barking shit chivumo foolo matuvi
# 6 Obesity is a serious disease, we are well educated by the way not with degrees from UNZA
#5 Good point. The point (#6, 10 and 12) is that Lifuka is morally bankrupt to ask GK to resign as he benefited from the same process and he should have been in the forefront lobbying the opposition MPs to support the bill. But he wants to be seen to be working by those financing his fat accumulation and apportions blame on govt. Why can’t he blame the opposition MPs for not allowing a good piece of legislature pass. What was wrong in the document that govt wanted passed by our parliamnet. Seeing everything through the eye of the Post is no good at all for our progress as a nation. Surely it is not true that everything the govt will try to do for our country is bad. What will be good is only what NGOs, Sata, HH, and the Post want.
# 14 tuma degree twabufi bakolwe and you think you are educated degree ya 1 year atase mwilatubelesha ba chimpanzi.
Yes PF blocked that useless bill because it doesnt the will and the aspirations of the people of Zambia as enshrined in the Mung’omber draft constitution. Red Lips Kunda filled the bill with the will of Rupiah and MMD so that they continues clinging to power at the expense of national development and plight of the majority poor Zambians.
Red Lips has no morals to resign, neither is the ICON OF CORRUPTION,RUPIAH BANDA has morals. Zambians must thank PF for blocking that useless constitutional bill.

Time is catching up with Rupiah and Red Lips, even if they dont desolve parliament and resign respectively, the fact is that they are going this year.Zambians will thank and vote for PF for blocking the bad bill.
RUPIAH THE ICON OF CORRUPTION is so desperate and so are his appointees in foreign missions who will soon be jobless. You diplomats chaps just steal enough of our tax payers funds for your families instead of embezzling it for Rupiah’s friutless campaigns.

@chipata disco.
On an earlier thread i asked you to get your facts straight and not go out and spread misinformation. Before the bill was taken to parliament george kunda and co knew that pf was not going to back the bill because they had been against the way the entire process was conducted,as were all the main church mother bodies. The mmd made no serious attempt to take the pf,s concerns into account and still expected them to vote for the bill? Then they are bigger fools than i take them for.
No.6Â UBUWELEWELE MUCHALO
Why we have concentrated on this fat ass instead of Red Lips is because he is talking nonsense. Its not Red Lips’s fault that the constitution bill failed. It went through a process (NCC instead of Constituent Assembly) which we didnt approve as Zambians. Its good that it didnt go through. Power in Zed is all held by the presido. Why do you want some puppet to resign? Get real!
No.9,11 & 17 please do not display your dullness on this fora unless you did not follow the genesis of the constitution making process. PF did not have a hand in the fomulation of the defucnt constitution neither did they play a part in trying to legitimise it.MMD tried to use its governance by having NCC which had an inbuilt majority to try to achieve the party agenda in the new constitution. MMD missed the opportunity to give Zambians a constitution as prescribed in the Mungomba Draft Constitution.
I see that people hate PF and its out of hatred that comments are being made. what about UPND? remember the rebel PF members voted for the constitution. The document failed because GK and the MMD selected a few things that they were comftable with.- this is subtle. The lesson for the new govt and all of us is that a constitution is a national document and not a party manifesto therefore care and caution must be taken.
CADRES LIKE CAITALIST, ACADEMIC WARRIOR ( Please change your name coz its misleading one may think you are a technocrat while you are a simple cadre) want to hip the blame on the PF. You must search your archieve and come up with verifiable cases aganist the PF not just propaganda
The composition of the NCC was largely MMD cadres in various institutions. the MMD made sure that they had an upper hand with GK leading the show. unless you never listened to the deliberations otherwise if you did it was in black and white.
The MPs were simply waiting for an opportunity to show the MMD that what they were doing was not going to take them anywhere.
I am just ashamed to be a Zambian. You can gauge the level of thinking of an average Zambian from the comments on this blog. We can’t articulate issues. All we know is insults and character assassination. That is why our country is 100 years backwards and I doubt if we will ever get out of the lurch going by the intellectual and moral integrity of an average Zambian. Sorry Zambia, there is nothing wrong with you, only the people who inhabit you.
First blogger plus 2, 3, 4, and many others have no taste in you comments. Please grow up, ukutumpa.
Lifuka is just biased, that we all know as fact. The head of an organization like TIZ is supposed to enjoy the confidence of all stakeholders in Zambia. That this is not so is a signal that Lifuka and his cronies at TIZ should resign on moral grounds, and disband the TIZ. Let’s not politicize the reasons for the failed bill. The bill had sufficient support from the NCC members of parliament. The constitution bill failed because the electronic voting system in parliament developed a fault on that day. Voting by division cannot be free and fair as MPs are intimidated by the poisoned environment, i.e. Post, TIZ, etc etc. Veep Kunda did his job, he presented the bill and voted in favour, if other MPs did not how can Veep be blamed for that?
NCC was not MMD, but was also com[posed of UPND and othe stakeholders in prepearing the final document that was sent to Parliament for enactment. The Bill was not MMD BILL, but a ZAMBIAN BILL, for the Zambians. PF and UPND for not supporting this BILL was a clear sign that they dont support the Zambians. LIFUKA outburst is because the donor funding they receive will be withdrawn from TIZ, and hence now comes the OASIS FORUM where he is also a stakeholder and will start to get Donor funding. Zambians see the web of deceit in these NGO’s who survive on Donor funding, watch you will see the other Donor NGO’s will start to sing the same song once the funds hit their Bank Accounts.
By the way, can NGOCC’s Mrs Agrillo tell us how many women have been wearing the green tee-shirts that she claimed they would? This should tell her that she does not command any following in Zambia at all, not even among PF cadres. Lifuka, Mrs Agrillo, and their cronies are all the same, they claim to represent a community which did not elect them. Stand as MPs if you want to speak for the people, or maybe there is less cash and more work in parliament?
Problem is all in the diaspora dont realise how much pipo viewed the whole process with disdain and derison.when the bill flopped the vast majority who actually gave a damn to follow the process where bloody pleased. You dont make a constitution that completely ignores opinions and concerns of the biggest opposition party and the the church mother bodies and the largest and most established civil societies. God bless the upnd and pf MPs that blocked that crap bill. God bless zambia.
Is that fat bastard Chidumbo maliket, Iwe talk about sense not yaping yaping why should GK Resign ?Just concentrate on your stomatch thats what you know how to do best shetani iwe.You must be Bemba Ka?all that fat from stolen money shut up theif. We tongas will sort you out come after elections pompwe iwe.
The all NCC was a fraud by MMD which was aimed at undermining other political players and it was not done by the will of majority Zambians thats why it failed to pass thru, and in this case the majority wins.So MMD leaders if they have morals they should resign and be held accountable for wasting all that public resource.
Chidumbo maliketi kampompo saladi, fusake. You are boring us with useles demand. Just concentrate on your tammy. Chimukoshi ububi.
#14 Ma degrees yakuno ya ma extra credit. I have 3 of them. You know you couldn’t make the grade into UNZA. The selection process is intense.
Red Lips just like Rupiah are both chancers, can never resign but rather be fired. Since Rupiah cannot fire him, we have an option not to vote for him in Muchinga and not vote for his fellow I’ldiot (Rupiah) as well. Let’s all put our acts together and bring sanity to thos land
Whose this plump character? That neck, OMG WTF. My Zed brothas, don’t be misled into thinking this is good milile, it’s actually not healthy at all. Before long, the chap will be suffering from high bp and heart problems.
# 28, Well said bashi Mwape. One wonders if it is the politicians or the people that have bankrupted the nation intellectually. Statistical correlation in terms of the people we see and read from here should be very high with the people back home and their leaders. If 90% of bloggers here use their hearts and not their brains in their thought process, that I am sorry to say this is even be higher back home considering the people the put in offices, the corruption, theft of public funds, the killings, and political debate/atmosphere.

#36, with three degrees and cant get a job, Sad for you Chap
@30. The speaker’s claim that the electronic voting system malfunctioned was laughable. There was no error message I recall.the votes just came up short of the required amount and he clutched onto the only straw he could to redo the vote and that was the malfuntion line. in the end the votes for the bill was actually less than the “malfunctioned” tally. laughable for real.
#28, 39. You do not win over other people by insulting of demeaning them, articulate your arguments instead.
back to the story, yes, Lifuka is fat but thats irrelevant. He should concentrate on matters where there is suspected corruption. Asking for veep to resign is not exactly an area for the TIZ,is it?
This fat bastard. What is he talking about? Leave GK alone.Â
in africa one even if they ar sick wud rather die in office than resigning.
#46 donchi kubeba, that description fits one man that you and I know. According to your measure of morality and sickness, one Michael Chilufya Sata should have retired from politics a long time ago.
#44 Twist, you are right but maybe Lifuka and TIZ are just telling us that there isn’t much corruption to talk about anymore? So he is diversifying his ways of making money.
#43 Ali mwana, you really outdo yourselves at twisting facts and telling lies. Not even the reknowned media lies master the Post reported your version of events.
#33 don’t twist facts. PF and others were invited to the process. You know as well as anybody else that initially Mr Sata actually agreed with the process and then did his usual u-turn aka flip flop and followed what he mistakenly thought was the direction of the wind. Anyway, let’s not waste our time on that Bill, it will definitely come back and pass in the next parliament.
I just hope that they will abandon the 50%+1 nonsense, we have no money to waste on a referendum just to please selfish politicians.
The bastard never commented anything when the PF controlled Lusaka city council was busy vandalising plots to themselves. Now character is poping his nose into issues he little understands, ala. This chap used to a thing character when we were at CBU and at one time he even stood as Presido for COBUSU and lamentably lost to Ken Bungwe. What can he tell us now. Useless. Let the bagger just continue chewing un audited donor funds so that he can continue fattening himself like a pig. Chimbwi iwe.

#27 gearbox, why are you guys in the habit of re-painting anything nice in your usual doomsday colour black? Your Mr Sata even refuses to acknowledge what he sees with his naked eyes, he claims that he doesn’t see the new schools and health facilities built by RB’s government! Did his doctors also advise him that touring the country that he wants to rule will be too much physical exertion on his health, like climbing the stairs at Lotti House?
I think to call for VP s resignation on the basis of the non adoption of the Bill is based on a lack of undrstanding of the fundamentals of performance appraisal. VP reports to the high office. If on his performance objectives, one of them was to deliver a new constitution before elections, then it is up to his superior to evaluate the VP performance – but not based on one key performance indicator but several one of which could have been the constitution bill. But I wonder why the same people who were opposed to the NCC, and to the adoption of the new cosntitution before elections are now calling for VPs blood, for the non adoption of an item they were are still opposed to. Here I am sorry I think objectivity is lacking.
The problem is that Zambia is being ruled by sick people who are infected with HIV/AIDS,and as long as with have sick people holding strategic positions in government, Zambia will go nowhere economically !! Running government business is a demanding task which requires people with very SOUND minds, not sick people, whose thinking is blurred, and cannot come up with sensible decisions. We cannot continue having strategic positions of government such as Justice Ministry, Vice Presidency, and Chief Whip in the hands of sick people. Zambians wake up! Your lives in the hands of sick people, it’s a shame. Let them concentrate on taking medication. After all they stolen a lot from Zamtel, the mines, and others. *****S !!
MMD will attempt again. Besides they are winning the election in 2011
# 14, Kambombo: Don’t boast about your degrees! I am gunning for my 3rd degree here but I wont boast like you.
Back to the topic. Yes obesity is a disease but if you are wise you will not insult the person of Lifuka over his condition. If the first blogger had not mentioned it you could have posted something different, that’s the issue I am talking about. Be original and respect individuals then we will respect your degrees. Being educated does not mean being wise. Sometimes obsesity is a genetical condition and you can’t do much about it.
TIZ President Rueben Lifuka bells out a lo of rhetoric. What is his real professional or academic qualification? We know George Kunda is an accomplished Lawyer. Lifuka chose to work for TIZ whereas Kunda chose to venture into politics and rose to position of Republican Vice President. Each one of them will map out a plan to earn a living after their respective tour of duties come to an end. There would be no logic for Kunda to ask Lifuka to quit his job, and neither does it make any sense for Lifuka to cry for Kunda’s resignation. With time, Zambia will know who is more transparent in the administration of public resources allocated to Govt and TIZ. Lifuka must first clean his own house before lecturing moral issues to others.
# 14 WAMONA BONSE BALEKUSEKA ULIMUTUTU SANA IWE NOKUBAKO IFYO WABA ITS BCOZ OF TUMA DEGREE UTWABUFI UTWAKUPASA NAMA PASS ATASE.
#57 Your name speaks volume of yourself
There is just too many revisionists on this blog! It is like they buried their senses in MMD a-s-s when all the NCC nonsense was going on. And now they have just woken up because MMD (GK) have farted. What a disgrace!! And this is the caliber of people who are running the affairs of our country—shameless under-performers and intellectual dwarfs!
How can you hijack the most important process for the nation (Constitution Making) and actually believe that the majority will simply rollover and play dead, are you kidding me? If MMD and Kunda have any semblance of morals/integrity left in them, they could have apologized to the nation and promise to do better next time. Instead they embark on a blame game that only e.m.b.a.c.i.l.es have the capacity to appreciate—D.AM.N YOU CADRES!
@49. The capitalist.
Oh contraire my fellow citizen, its you and your times of zambia and daily mail reading and believing ilk that are lost and deluded. A vote was taken a tally made, the speaker declared for reasons best not to himself that the machine had malfunctioned precipitating the pf walk out led by guy scott.thats public knowledge. That the second votes tally was only a few votes different from the “malfunctioned” tally prooves that there was probably no malfunction in the first place.
@50. And there lies the problem with the entire constitutional makin thought process. You think its expensive to it right,to have a referendum that will have all zambians endorse a constitution once and for all rather you prefer this thrice failed tactic .that is what the pf failed to agree on with all the churches and NGOs.they stated that it was a route we had taken before and had led nowhere and thats what would happen again.and time has vindicated them.and they chewed not an ngwee of my tax kwachas!
i wish people could stop bragging about their little education and insulting others over their weight. have you seen most of our ministers girth. Liyato cant even walk on his feet coz they cant support his weight but no one is insulting him. hence please lets discuss the issue at hand and stop being shallow.
 Â
# 58 Lifuka has a degree in archtecture from CBU. He was my classmate at High School. Does that help?
#63 ali mwana, Mr Sata made a flip flop which was widely recorded in the media including the Post at the time. Does that help tickle your memory?
#63, in addition to everything else, Mr Sata’s failure to show democracy within his PF hardly represents good credentials for a man or party that claims it wants a good consitution for Zambia, does it? Remember that he was a participant to the 1996 constitution and later even wanted an amendment to accommodate Chiluba’s third term bid. Do you honestly believe that such a person is honest about giving us a good constitution that will stand the test of time? My contention is that if at all Zambia needs a change of leadership, surely it should be clear to any sane person that that change cannot come through Mr Sata, that we would in fact be digging a really deep grave for ourselves from which even resurrection cannot save us.
Please mwebantu too much insults, No wonder you support Sata coz you all act like kaponyas. Discuss issues not how fat one is, it wont help us at all.
