The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) in partnership with SMART Zambia Institute has conducted a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) exercise for the revised Cash for Work Management Information System (CFWMIS) in Zambezi District.
According to a statement issued to the media by Zambezi Town Council Assistant Public Relations Officer, Ronald Muyanga the exercise was aimed at validating the upgraded system and preparing District staff for its nationwide rollout.
Speaking during the launch of the exercise in Zambezi, Town Council Secretary Biggie Chanda said the digital platform is critical to the successful implementation of the revised Cash for Work Programme.
Mr Chanda who was represented by Director of Planning Killian Malambo stated that the system is designed to automate key business processes, improve data management and facilitate timely reporting.
He explained that the initiative will enhance transparency, accountability, efficiency and accuracy, ensuring that program benefits reach the intended beneficiaries without delay.
“As the Government continues to pursue digital transformation across public institutions, the successful implementation of the CFWMIS represents an important milestone in improving service delivery,” Mr Chanda said.
The Council Secretary further thanked the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, SMART Zambia Institute, Provincial Administration, and other stakeholders for their commitment to the digital migration project.
The testing exercise was attended by various local stakeholders, including council staff, data entry clerks, and members of Ward Development Committees (WDCs).
