The opposition Forum for Democratic Alternatives President Ludwig Sondashi has commended President Edgar Lungu for recognizing Henry Sosala Kanyata as Chitimukulu.
Dr Sondashi said in a statement released to ZANIS in Lusaka yesterday that the recognition of Sosala Kanyata by President Lungu as the paramount chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people will help end the wrangles surrounding the issue between government and the Bemba Royal Establishment.
The FDA leader said the recognition will also restore the peace that existed between the Bemba speaking people and government.
He charged that the PF was at fault in meddling in the installation of Henry Kanyata as Chitimukulu.
Dr Sondashi advised government not to interfere with the appointment of traditional leaders in order to avoid unnecessary wrangles as each tribe has its own laid down system of installing traditional leaders.

This is the beauty of having the opposition, they were unanimous in demanding for the recognition of the chitimukulu and here we are he is been recognised. Credit should go to both the ruling party for heeding to calls for this long overdue event and also the opposition for setting this as a campaign issue.
