Information and Broadcasting Services Minister Chishimba Kambwili says he has nothing against former Petauke Member of Parliament Dora Siliya.
Mr. Kambwili however said he merely wants Ms. Siliya to apologise for alleged disparaging remarks against the Patriotic Front (PF) party and late President Michael Sata.
He said the PF has welcomed Ms. Siliya in the party but demanded that the former Petauke lawmaker should apologise for calling Mr. Sata and the PF names.
Mr. Kambwili, who is also Chief Government Spokesperson, has maintained that he will not accept Ms. Siliya until she apologises or dispel statements attributed to her in the media.
He said his sentiments on Siliya are not the party’s position but his own opinion as a party member who has great respect for late President Sata, the founder of the PF party.
He explained that he has been working with Ms. Siliya in Parliament since 2006 and finds nothing wrong to work with her in the party.
MR. Kambwili however noted that it will only be honourable for Ms. Siliya to give an apology for saying bad things against the party before she joined it.
And the minister said media reports suggesting that the PF has rejected Ms. Siliya should be dismissed because the truth was that the party has welcomed her.
Ms. Siliya was recently quoted in the media as saying that the three years which the PF has been in government were like xenophobic attacks where people used to kill each other with machetes.
Mr. Kambwili was speaking on Explorer Radio in Petauke in Eastern Province today.
The minister is in Eastern Province on a familiarisation tour of media houses.
He has since toured Valley FM in Nyimba and Explorer Radio and PASME FM in Petauke.
He has since called on the media to be responsible in their reporting to ensure that they do not promote hate speech.
Mr. Kambwili has also appealed to the media to highlight the developmental projects government was working on in various sectors.
Kambwili has a hard on for Dora…Sadly he is not her type. Too ugly and unrefined.
Kambwili’s demands must not just be dismissed for political expediency, if we are to start practicing politics with decency.
Dora cant just pretend like she never denigrated the late King Cobra and the most honourable this is for Dora to swallow her pride and take responsibility for her transgressions.

I agree with honourable Kambwili that Dora Siliya must apologies to the MMD, PF and the people of Zambia. She is a bad role model for our nation.
