This morning President Sata swore in two Ambassadors at Statehouse. In a brief speech, Mr Sata urged Mr Kapumpa and Ms Mwananshiku to execute their work diligently.

I was the first Zambian to go to South Korea, the people you are going to deal with are very intelligent, extra intelligent people and I expect you to be sober according to the constitution, Mr Sata said.

He added, “Mrs. Salome, you are going to Malawi, you have a very sensitive woman who is the President of Malawi, Joyce Banda, so as you have already, you see you are the one who has committed yourselves and not me that you are not revealing the constitution so if you are not revealing the constitution so which constitution are you people talking about?”

President Sata continued, “Zambia has a constitution which you people are taking oath and then somebody is talking about the constitution which constitution are you talking about? So I wish you well, thank you very much.”

  1. people should have their heads examined if they fall for this. All he can do is swear in people.I’m sure the positions were quickly created so as to show case him.nice to know he isnt in ICU though..not sure about the mental state though.

    • Lucky are those who were active at Lusaka Play House for Kapumpa will employ them in our Korean Embassy!

    • @Liam
You are right, actually comedians are specialised at stage-managing shows at very short notice.

    • Fellow Zambians both at home and abroad ,lets learn to say the truth. People are saying that the online media is full of malice you are busy protecting yourselves. If this is what journalism is all about I can’t envy you guys ,you are in a useless profession and I have no apologies anyway. And you ba LT when did the president come back or in short when was he discharged from South Africa s you reported???? Who paid for the so said air bus…maboza yanu,,that was a serious insinuation need to arrest you all for false publication, your reporting was very alarming.

    • How can ‘positions’ be created? Zambia has high commisions in Malawi and Korea, and these are headed by Ambassadors, so these positions have not just been created.

    • Keeping up appearances!

I am told Sata was forced to get out of bed and swear in these two people to show that he is working after a load of pain killer. The event lasted only 15 minutes and he was back on the machine.

He is not in the clear yet. May be this time he will be taken abroad for treatment.

I want him to reach 2016 so we can see how he will campaign.

    • Yayaaya!
High Commissions are not headed by ambassadors, but High Commissioners.

Do a little reading on the difference.

  2. Who is saying the president is ill and about to be evacuated? You have now seen H E
performing his duties and looking just good. But for the constitution, I think something must be done to fulfill the promise. Long Live your HE. Mu Zambia – Ba Sata, Mumulu – Lesa. Wapya Baisa!

    • The old man is just 10 metres from his bed and his brigade of elite medical staff…even a fish can survive with such support out of water.

    • Can you imagine i cant even decipher what he is saying. Then look at how old the so called Ambassadors are.Look at Salome can she even work an 8 hour day? These old pipo should also realise that they are killing themselves.Wewere just burying Miles banda the other week who was sent as ambassador to Malaysia and some 6 other countries in the South China sea. When it is time to retire retire. They say wisdom comes with age but for our old pipo it’s like age came alone.

  3. Another 5 minutes performance! People, what is the procedure to set up a Medical Board to examine a sitting President?

    • Actually, parliament has to request that which is wrong because these jobseekers won’t risk their jobs.

    • why do pipo with slow punctured brains always wish our best president, ill. its ka hh and his apertite for taking over from dead pipo.
its a shame, pipo who ll die earlier than the president make more noise.

  4. According to the PF manifesto, I mean PF, you promised to give us a people driven constitution in 90 days! Ba Sata please honour your campaign promises. You see, look at the Kwacha, expensive m/meal, fuel and everything…. Now can you people see, PF should fulfil it’s campaign promises. Long live ba Sata

    • His handlers have now changed his wardrop. They have thrown away the old clothes, which used to fit his bigger body then, and bought him smaller ones to fit his new slim frame. I can see they have even cut his hair, but no matter how much imagine building they may do, the man is wasting from inside, his voice can confirm this fact.

    • @ J J, you noticed hey? I saw too, the wardrobe has changed, imishishi shachinja and all this in a space of a few days, which would logically imply that there truly was some health issues and they had been reading what people were saying online about his looks. Good thing, is that this is a better look. It should not take people online to condemn for them to pimp up the looks of the president. apa pena bamonekako bwino. Bachindama. Keep it up handlers. Job well done. But it still does not take away the questions about his health.

    • Sata has no “double”!

If he had, Zambia would be in DOUBLE TROUBLE and the cost of mealie meal would be K160 a bag.

    • True. Even ba Watchdog says Mwewa, Director of ASHPALT Roads is in jail in RSA and will be deported. Ifya bufi. Mwewa is in RSA enjoying himself. Yes he was detained because his former work mates at REUBEX implicated him to have a fake permit that he had obtained through the joint venture arrangement his company had with REUBEX South Africa. Now since he has decided to form ASPHALT Roads Zambia the REUBEX chaps became annoyed and arranged with RSA Immigration to embarrass him at the airport. Please, no matter how we hate others, let us humble ourselves and report the Truth not facts. There is a big different between Truth and Fact.

  5. And the haters even up to today were reporting on their online page that he is recuperating in London ? Haters will hate ! a.Till God says it is time he won`t die now.You will continue dying of envy while he continues enjoying his life.Long live Michael Chilufya Sata !!!

    • Cadre, so in your small little brain that speech makes sense to you? His body may not die but his brain is on an accelerated road to the grave.

    • @Saulosi, I don’t know why you are taking so personal as if you also has same disease with Sata. Miracles happens, Jesus rose Lazarous from grave, he died for real. But died again, after Jesus died.
No one is saying Ba Sata should die. People who are pissing you off, are demanding for government to find a way of giving Ba Sata ka vacation. Zambia is not in crisis, so we can do just fine or even better without Ba Sata swearing in people. Guy Scott can do it!! Or Chibesakunda.

Sata must rest, he is not feeling well. We know him best!!

    • @7.1 THIS GOVERNMENT IS NOT ABOUT LONG ACADEMIC SPEECHES. THIS GOVERNMENT IS ABOUT DEEDS OR IMPLEMENTATION IF YOU LIKE.

    • Saulosi, I know you are intelligent and really do not buy into this PF bullsh!t, whether you deny it or not. What perplexes me is what your motives are! Where you get to a point of agreeing with imbeciles like Mushota and that gay fcuker Kudos really sends waves through right thinking intelligent people and begs the question of whether the PF sickness really can permeate an intelligent objective mind and blind it to glaring irregularities perpetuated by the people we must trust. I would expect a person like you to say NO to the suppression of freedom of speech being done by the coppers but then you remain mute. What is your motive? Are you really one of them? Do you stand to lose a lot with the demise of PF. A lot of people have already lost a lot because of the existence of PF.

    • @Dudelove you don`t have to be perplexed or anything. We all have our reasons why we don`t share the same political viewpoints. You can`t just expect everyone to agree with you and if they don`t you insult them.It is not how it works out.People look at issues differently because they have been raised in different environments. Two people can`t just share the same outlook on life.Just because we don`t see eye to eye on issues doesnt make me a lower mortal or you a higher one.Learn to agree to disagree.Only a weak man runs to insults and character assassinations@Peter spot on there@Nostradamus i`m not taking it personal bro.I`m just saying it as i see it.Even you the information you have is what you are reading in the media. It is second hand information.Let us just pray for the big man.

    • Saulosi, I kinda get what you’re saying but the problem I have is you speak from a purely theoretical perspective coz you are not here. I have mentioned this before to you and what really ticked me off and my made my level of respect drop for you was when you claimed HH fabricated that attack in Ndola BECAUSE I WAS THERE! People insult for a number of reasons and one of them may be because they are weak but for the majority of us, it’s because of anger and frustration. My job takes me to a lot of places within this country and I see the agony in people’s faces and I listen to what they say. Believe me, your government is hated because of the misery they have unleashed on the poor grandmother who has to contend with 11 grandchildren coz mealie meal is beyond her reach. Thats the reality.

    • @Nostradamus I just want to remind you that you wanted to say, “Jesus RAISED Lazarous from the grave” but instead you said, “Jesus ROSE Lazarous”. Thanks

    • Deeds not based on logic, academic knowhow and principles are a shot in the dark. Why have you bothered so much on your studies if academic know how is not useful? Please Peter my brother, we love each other and you know the truth, you advise me, how come when it comes to politics you loose the wisdom that I know you have??? I am finding this difficult to comprehend about you. You are one clever Bemba man, the blinkers you are putting on are not you, what is going on? the people you knew in Lusaka city council are not the same, they have become corrupted to the core, being the educating man you are, there needs to be a recognition that these are not the same people you knew. Peter please read through what Zambia is going through. Look at the issues take we are in s..t

    • @Saulosi, don’t worry just let these evil people who wish hate and evil things on other people continue, God is the ultimate judge. Guys you don’t need to have such evil thoughts, why do you wish someone to die?? I think some of you should have your brains checked, most of the people who write all these bad remarks are not even based in Zambia but are writing from a stinkhole in the UK, Sweden, USA or SA! They are the same ones who are quick to like the Face book page of our dear President and now they come and insult him because of what, because they think they are some great political mouthpiece..*****s, cretins, inbred swine is what they are!!! You guys (crusader, nostradamas, ndobo, dudelove etc) should be ashamed of yourselves why wish evil on someone else???

  6. the only problem he picks old people like him to do the work, that is not to good although old people can give advise. why not young and old?

    • Our hardworking president has done his work for the month of May with another swearing-in ceremony…not a single word about the state of the economy.

    • @Jay Jay on 8.1 you took the words right out of my mouth. In fact I wanted to pose a question…does it mean that Sata has now earned his monthly salary by having this swear in ceremony of old people?

  7. Don’t we have young, fresh & energetic zambians ( like winter kabimba ) that we can send into foreign service? And who said Joyce Banda ( malawian president ) is sensitive?

  8. we were worried by the reports from other online medias speculating that the president is terminaly ill.Long life ba sata so that u enjoy yo sweats after 2016.

    • Long live our president indeed. It was ordained by the hand of the Creator that this man will rule this land at this time.

Ironically, persons reputed to be dead will live longer. I recall reading a story about a missionary who was crippled by a deadly flu but instantly recovered from his death bed when he overheard the people already discussing his burial spot.

  9. In this era of information abundance, the media modulates the way people think & believe. However, people who do not invest part of their time in verifying facts to assemble logic are more vulnerable to the media than those who first analyse available & balanced evidence before they believe.

  10. This man surprises me …we did NOT force him to campaign and promise Zambians about what he’s going to do with the constitution [ in acting a new constitution ] but he’s there yapping nonsense about what he promised . Let him leave us in peace NOT pieces . RIP !

    • ALL GOVERNMENT THE WORLD OVER PROMISE MANY THINGS IN THEIR CAMPAIGN TO GOVERNMENT INCLUDING THE FIRST WORLD. SOME OF THE THINGS THEY PROMISED GET IMPLEMENTED, IMMEDIATELY, OTHERS LATER ON,. THERE ARE ALSO OTHERS PROMISES THAT NEVER GETS IMPLEMENTED. THE CONSTITUTION IMPLEMENTATION IS UNFORTUNATELY ONE OF THE THINGS THAT CAN NOT BE IMPLEMENTED ON THE FRY OR IS IT FLY. LIKE ANY OTHER SANE GOVERNMENT MOST OF THE THINGS PF PROMISED HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED AND THEY ARE STILL WORKING HARD ON OTHER THINGS.

  11. Lets have a video clip of this. I no longer trust these written articles. Context is not taken care of in most cases. Streuth!

  12. What tribe are these people being sworn in? Are they not from the same tribe being sworn in every other time? Beware, bembas will all be in foreign service, top government, tenderprenureship or in prison.

  13. Ba Mumba Kapumpa and Salome Mwananshiku congrats inchito yamoneka. But bonse ba Bemba or Iam I dreaming?

  14. Prescription: Smaller western suit (chinese), barberman (haircut), 3 I. v drips 10% dextrosaline, 1 large maheu or soup (ya mbuzi). Also ensure no strenuous work like standing 4 more than 15 minutes or cutting a cake! Signing 4 papers is fine. Review after 2 hours.

  15. In brief speech, that lasted less than 2 minutes and the ceremony that lasted 5 minutes, the president was not suppose to mention Joyce Banda as she has said that she will not participate in the run off but he should have said work with any president who will take over from Jb.it does nt mean that mcs is fit and well, but with all the money, best doctors at his disposal,he seem to have some mentality issues, which should be of great concern to the family,pf cadres and the general public at large

  16. Its now critical that we urgently book the old man for a thorough medical review as this is no longer a laughing matter. ..in the interest of national security and preserve any respect the office of the president still has.

  17. circus continues…..

The appointees are certainly in ‘retirees zone’……that is what mesmerises the youthful lot…..

Kapumba/MCS shot looks weird….Kapumba bowing like that..?…It is supposed to be the other way round. MCS bowing before Kapumba(the president) while receiving freedom fighter’s recognition order. What has happened to the so called ‘the learned people’ ….??
MCS is certainly an inspiration to many……even with humble education, the sky is the limit……
When MCS coughs, prof. Luo, Dr Phiri, Dr Katema, Yamfwa Mukanga..name them, their hair stand on end…..

  18. Looks like Mumba Kapumpa was laughing ! I don’t blame him, being asked to be sober according to the constitution!!

  19. People this is a medic speaking if you want those in the know to give opinion about his health from these pictures! The camera man has done a good job. These are pictures of a man is chronically unwell( ill for a long time!) Why? He looks pale, his hands are wasted, ie thin(small muscles of hand are the first to go in the wasting process!), hair looks silky and thin!!!!
    These are worrying picture baneeeeee!
    Ine nalanda!!

  20. Ambassador – representative of a commonwealth country to a non commonwealth country or vice versa, or representative from a non-commonwealth country to another non-commonwealth country.
High commisioner – a representative of a commonwealth country to another commonwealth country.

    • e.g ambassador of zambia to the united states of america (common wealth to non commonwealth). Ambassador of the USA to Iraq (both non-commonwealth countries). Highcommisioner of zambia to malawi (commonwealth to commonwealth)

  21. I hurts me to say – that suit and the accompanying haircut looks great on His Excellency the President. Much better than the crap he wore on Africa Freedom Day. Respect to the stylist at State House…on this occasion.

  22. No. 15. You have nothing better than to impersonate Tongas eeh? You want Zambians to hate Tongas and what’s your agenda? Tongas are the most peaceful, loving people that’s why most Bembas are married to Tongas. You are a useless man! (You can’t be a woman, women are more sensible).

  23. It’s called propaganda! The simple are always its easiest prey. The subject matter, whatever it was yesterday, changes to something else today. The concerns, whatever they were, that were raised yesterday and over the last one week, must now be aborted. After all, the president is seen here swearing-in two brand new ambassadors who are destined for foreign mission. This, if not anything else, is solid proof, that the president is “well and fit.”

This would make Mr. Hakainde Hichilema a gentleman and what he said yesterday to be irrevocably truthful. The president is indeed well and fit. But what concerns was Mr. Shamenda talking about the other day, when he said that, they too were concerned about the president’s health? Was that merely a slip of his tongue?

  24. Now that the president looks fit, may I suggest to him to do the following;

    1. Forgive all those who have amplified your sickness through sensational reporting.
    2. Forgive and pardon RB and discontinue his so called corruption case
    3. Forgive GBM and discontinue the case of alleged corruption which is in court.
    4. Reconcile and recognize HRH The Chitimukulu and allow his installation to take place without further delay
    5. Make good your relation with all those who are being persecuted by your regime as a way of revenge. Forgive the and let go any grudge against any person.

Forgiveness is a great medicine that will restore your health faster than any other medication. Wishing you a quick and wholesome recovery.

  25. fellow bloggers please educate me on this one,,,, ‘ i am the fist zambian to go to south korea. really??
also do i detect some garbled speech here? why do people like saulosi willfully chose to ignore the content and process of this man’s cognition?

  26. Oh my God, Did you hear his voice on Radio this afternoon. Please lets be fair to our President. The man is not well, let him go and rest.
On a more serious note. IS the country only full of Northerners. Yet people call HH a tribelist. This people are very old what will they do for Zambia. MS Mwananshiku is Mrs Mwananshiku , her husband was a Diplomat in Kaunda’s days. These is traeting the countr y like a personal property. Sure Zambia deserves better then this.

    • In fact, Mr. Mwananshiku served as a diplomat much later. In the run – up to the MMD’s rule, he was a mole providing sensitive information to the MMD. Before that however , he was a senior Minister in K.K’s cabinet (Defence Minister around about 1982/3) and his brother was late Luke j. Mwananshiku a atwo time BOZ governor and Finance Minister.

  27. I really pity this man. Hasn`t he got relatives to advise him to rest?! The man is been forced to deny his own sickness.

  28. That is an incoherent speech, which is really difficult to understand. Can someone please translate it for me.

By the way for those insinuating that the ZWD told l!es, I don’t think they said he had been evaluated; rather that his handlers considered evacuating him but the doctors advised against it.

Of course the prop@ganda machine is working overtime hence the carefully selected pictures. At least he’s had a hair cut and no more collar-less jackets (at least they read my post on the pictures of the week section, lol).

    • Spot on! Those photos are definitely photo shopped in a deliberate propaganda to hoodwink the gullible. Plus, the suit has been tailor made to fit suit his new small frame as opposed to the baggy ones. We won’t be fooled.

  29. And that scary picture that we saw last week, the one that went around the globe in cyber space; the one that showed the president looking scrawny and famished? That wasn’t real either. It was due to a technical faulty of a malfunctioning camera. Otherwise, the president is in perfect health – IT IS PROPAGANDA! Take it for what it is – PROPAGANDA.

  30. This old man Kapumpa has no morals, he hammered too many students at UNZA a fews years ago that are fit to be his grand children.

  31. I like the presidents’ hair cut. He looks good. But the speech is not well coordinated. Is it the fabrication of Journalists?

  32. Please lets be respectful to one another while we blog on important issues like the health of our President. I feel it is un Zambian to insult elders, we were taught that insulting them tantamounts to insulting your own parents. So please lets desist from this bad practice and lets pray for our President.

  33. Mumba Kapumpa; at last, congratulations! Overlooked by all the previous leaders, for reasons best known to themselves.

  34. At least am relieved I can see he still arrive not the way some rats raised my BP. no more Mwanawasa scenarios. Liers please give us some space, a president is not a mare person to lie or joke about.

  35. Looks to me like the president is just fine. the Brits say “fit as a fiddle”. People who thought presidential by-elections were near are visibly disappointed. The Hutu Herdsman (HH) and his kraal of molested blogging oxen are concocting a different brew of free mason prayers to down him again. hopeless Useless People, Naughty D!cks (Upnd)

  36. Looks to me like the president is just fine. the Brits say “fit as a fiddle”. People who thought presidential by-elections were near are visibly disappointed. The Hutu Herdsman (HH) and his kraal of molested blogging oxen are concocting a different brew of free mason prayers to down him again. hopeless Useless People, Naughty D!cks (Upnd) How can you ascend to the throne through regional tirbal metrics on top of that ill will? cattle choppers

  37. I guess the court pictures and the Africa Freedom Day picture were taken when the old man was having a bad day. A haircut and a suit that actually fits does change the appearance. I positively heard the collective sigh of relief. That’s the second rumour quelled

  38. Lekeni ukusabaila. After mwabeya bayama ichunsu chilya baishile nacho ku court bamonekako abantu mwayamba ukusabaila. Uyu muntu m ulwazhi. Niodwala. Like a pregnance, you can not hide it. Last kicks of a dying F.O.O.L!

  39. @GOOD ADVISER. Ubomba kwisa iwe SHETANI. You must be a staunch cadres son. To forgive criminals who are economic saboteurs? They need to be jailed for over 40 years so that would be thieves will learn from this nonsense. Shaa! Mumona ubupupu like a source of livelihood? That is why we cannot go anywhere ati kabili bakabalekelako. Makaka.

  40. It’s what we call keeping up with the appearnces Mr. President. Take a leaf and step down..you go down in Zambia’s history as one of the greatest leaders and you will atleast elude you miserable past picture and life, cause we Zambian’s will forgive you. China says so.

  41. I have just watched Sata on 19 hours news. He is looking health. For the first HH talks good of the president.

  42. Ati he has appointed Bembas! When Sata tries to appoint other tribes who are mostly in opposition political parties, you the same people say that it is wrong. Right now there are other members of the opposition political parties serving in government who are under discipline for accepting ministerial posts. So what do you want?

  43. Iam one of those people Kapumpa nearly raped many years ago as a young artist. I hate that man. Even his career as a lawyer is lacklustre. Big name, white hair, itchy genitals and nothing more. Someone should warn the Korean young women.

Having said above, just seen the President on news, he has never looked better.

  44. Only old men and women are being given jobs when there are many young people who eligible to do the work. No wonder the country is deteriorating at a fast pace. Times have changed and even the leaders should be changed. When will the youth ever going to work?

  45. This was a very thought out swearing in ceremony. His handlers very well knew that he would not manage going round stand by stand inspecting exhibitors at the kitwe show. Instead it was guy Scott who persevered. He simply was avoiding questioning about his would be absence at the show opening

  46. Fellow bloggers, I commend the President for making this crucial apperance. It was a matter of State Security for him to make an appearance because there was a lot of speculation.I guess it took a lot of effort for the medical team and image builders. However, his ill health can not be masked anymore .

  47. Sata’s speech and the quality of his voice as opposed to proving he’s fit only confirm that the man is sick, very sick both physically and mentally. Let his wife and friends do what is right and give him time to rest and recuperate.

  48. A people driven Constitution is what we want kanshi what is the problem with the draft we contributed to? Can Ba Sata tell us why he does not want to release it? Can someone please advise Ba Sata that for as long as he pretends not to have seen the draft constitution he will be tormented by his own lies and as we can all see the writing is on the wall ! Time is catching up and you cant run away from it.
