TASKFORCE on corruption chairman Max Nkole
The Task Force on Corruption has described the application by second republican President,Frederick Chiluba, requesting parliament to restore his immunity as premature and desperate.

Task Force Executive Chairman, Maxwell Nkole, says the former President still has several cases before the courts of law, which need to be cleared.

He told ZNBC that Dr. Chiluba should wait for the courts to clear him of the cases, which include his involvement in the $20 million United States dollars arms deal.

Mr. Nkole said the former President also needs to be cleared of the 8.5 Million United States dollars Carlington maize deal.

But Dr. Chiluba says parliament should restore his immunity because he has no pending criminal case in court.[quote]

He said through his spokesperson, Emmanuel Mwamba, that he is saddened that the Task Force wants to interfere with his request.

Dr Chiluba said he is surprised that the Task Force wants to bring up the issue of the Carlington Maize scandal which it has never investigated in the past eight years.

Parliament lifted Dr. Chiluba’s immunity in 2002 to pave the way for criminal proceedings against him.

Dr. Chiluba was on Monday acquitted of all charges of theft of public resources amounting to about $500,000 US dollars, after a protracted eight year legal battle.

And The National Assembly has confirmed receiving a letter from Former President, Frederick Chiluba, requesting parliament to restore his immunity.

Parliamentary Media Liasion Officer, Chikomeni Banda, says the speaker of the National Assembly, Amusa Mwanamwambwa, received the letter on Wednesday.

Mr. Banda told ZNBC news that the matter is receiving the attention it deserves.

He said the Speaker is currently studying the details of the letter and will react accordingly.

Dr. Chiluba’s lawyers have written to the speaker asking parliament to restore his immunity.

The lawyers say this is because Dr. Chiluba is not facing any criminal cases in court.

  1. Nkole is right. No wonder Chiluba is so much in a hurry to have his immunity restored so that he is protected from such issues arising in future!!!

  2. Ba Chiluba why the hurry, we haven’t finished with you yet, remember the civil case of london high court. the maize, the list is endless!!!

  3. Nkole wants to keep his job. What has he been doing all this time. In fact he must be arrested for delaying his investigations to enrich himself over the plight of Zambians. Nkole must inform the nation were things are and not just spending our meagre resources on him and his low achieving team of schemers. Zambians, how much should we spend on this Nkole team. Let him the tax payers what heis doing and when he expects to finish his task. Every task has an ending and must be finished at a point. What task goes on forever? We are being taken for granted by Nkole. Did you guys see that building he has built out of your money? Nkole is aleiba when you guys are watching. If he thinks Carlington, arms deals are necessary, whendid he find out about them? How come he is just mentioning that now?

  4. Ba Nkole. We know you are desperate to maintain your job. Where has the Task Force been all this time to start investigations now. The fact is, its possible that FTJ may have other cases but logic is that you took your best case to court and failed. The reason you did not take the other cases is that they must be weak ones. Simply start preparing to retire. Indeed any task has an end. Tongas say CHATAKAMANA CHAKAYOSHA (Something that never came to an end scared people)

  5. Mr . Nkole are you sure in those two cases as you proclaim u will successed. Otherwise dont waste peoples time and donor funds.

  6. #3 Kalos2020

Iwe leave Nkole alone. You are & your train plundering machine are now trembling. As many have said on the other thread, if your Kafupi is innocent why does he want his immunity back? And where did he get the K8 million he claims to be his in the Zamtrop account? We need to know. This is money laundering and who knows he could have sold the soul of the country for that money and that is treasonable offence punishable by firing squad. I don’t think somebody however generous can just give kafupi $8million for nothing in exchange. Let your chiluba tell us what service he rendered or the goods he sold to earn $8 million dollars. If you lift immunity tomorrow this kafupi will start saying give me back my $8m so that he mocks the Zambians even further. We are not stupid.

  7. Chiluba is not a problem, he is just a thief. The problem is RB. How do you comment that Chiluba was a damn good President, when his judgement was pending? We should appeal to the High or Supreme court. How do you intepret the law regarding the judgement made in London? and why did we ask the Crown Court to make a ruling if it was not going to have any bearing to Kafupi’s case here in Zambia? No matter how many cases the midget has iwe Nkole, as long as RB remains at the helm, he will be cleared and only his accomplices wil be jailed. This is why he campained for RB, he know very well Sata would have sent him for that dribbling in 2001. How did a State House TV find itself in his concubine’s house, and who is responsible? I am sure it is his body guards, and not her lover?

  8. THE Task Force on Corruption has welcomed the conclusion of the case involving former president Frederick Chiluba, saying it demonstrates political determination to fight corruption and accord those suspected due process of the law. Task Force executive chairperson, Maxwell Nkole said in a statement in Lusaka yesterday now that the case had ended, it was time to reflect on why late president Levy Mwanawasa created the Task Force. “Obviously, with the successful conclusion of the Chiluba case, this may appear to many people as being the destiny of the work of the Task Force on Corruption,

  9. We all know Chiliuba has several cases to answer. Those denied this fact are only deluding themselves. You wait and see. Those on the copperbelt still remember Chani Fisheries, not to mention Callington maize scandal. The man has already been convicted in a court of law in London. How do we lift his immunity. Kafupi lolela first

  10. Just Look at Nkole’s glasses, they remind me of those GI’s (Government Issue) we used to receive free of charge in Secondary Schools in 1977. How can someone with such glasses read Law and win a case? Chiluba has stolen, and no one will convince me otherwise. In Bemba we say “umulandu taubola,” we shall ressurect it when we come to power.

  11. Ok all you saying Max failed ..should we really let Kafapi and RB just walk away that easily? Can’t we fire Max and at least put the best team and demand dedicated time in courts to deal with these thieves. Letting Kafupi walk will really do damage to the soul of our country and send a wrong message to children of our land. That is aim for political power and rob the national treasuries and nothing will ever happen to you. Is that the Zambia you want to hand over to your children? Somebody need to rise up and fight for what is right. I know nowadays EVIL has wins in Movies, but this is real life and evil should not be allowed to win. Kafupi wants his immunity restored for obvious reasons. He is a thief. How many on this blog need immunity. Zero!! Why? Becoz You are clean guys.

  12. Whats the point of suing chiluba when you know he has the backing of a mouth breathing, knuckle dragging, drum shaped Leader. Theres no zambia court under the current govt. that will convict Chiluba . The best the task force can do is to disband because they won’t go anywhere. The best we can hope for is regime change but I doubt whether SATA would do anything plus factoring in MMD’s corruption 2011 may be rigged. Every dog has it’s day and hopefully that chihuahua will get his………………..

  13. Ba chimbwi aba I have no words for liars, they are still going to let him go anyway so why should we bother! We still ain’t going to see anything from that disgrace of a president! The people in power are the same pipo who are teaching the young upcoming leaders of zambia to be as selfish as they are….

  14. Lusaka Times, kindly keep your ignorance to yourselves. Chiluba has no case in court. What Nkole said and what ZNBC wrote in that Chiluba has cases under investigations. Please stop publishing your ignorance. Its so embarrassing. You have no capacity to write stories because you are dull so why do you change headlines. Mind you you can be sued. If you think you are not known, think again

  15. Ba Max Nkole Muleicinjika fye na imwe. Mule mona kwati twalitumpa pa kulolela 7 years to receive such an unpredictable verdic. Dont **** with us !!! otherwise we will put at a place where you deserve to be. Let Mwanamwambwa reinstate the immunity of our beloved president. Mule ba pelako no muchinshi badi ba kateka ba Zambia. We are counting DAYS.

  16. Its true Lusaka times your stories are all from ZANIS, ZNBC, TIMES, DAILY MAIL why? Are you not journalists? Why do you wait for others to write news then you try to clever by chaning titles? Mind you we get news from other sources

  17. IT BE A CRIMINAL OR A CIVIL CASE, A CRIMINAL IS A CRIMINAL,AN ADULTERER IS AN ADULTERER, NGOSHE NI NGOSHE!!!!! EVEN THE BIRDS IN THE TREES KNOW ICHALO TAPALI. CHIMBWI ESHIBA EPO ASHINTILILE AMATAKO OTHERWISE HE WON’T WAFFLE ANYHOW. IF A BLIND MAN SAYS I WILL STONE YOU, CHECK WHAT HE’S STEPPING ON.THAT’S THE CIRCUS IN ZAMBIA. IT WILL BE COMEDY TO HEAR PARLIAMENT HAS ACTED OTHERWISW.

  18. Kafupi must clear his name instead of asking for protection. # 3 you maybe one of the beneficiary from Kafupi. Remember that u can’t cook the whole cow when u want to eat beef.

  19. Who are these MMD baboons at #19 and #21. Stop distracting us from the issue at mess you are causing to our country. Don’t make lusakatimes what it is not. At least spend time and read their About Us before you pour your malabishi here. If your uselesss government media gave us this platform, maybe this useless LT would not even exist. Go tell your shikapwasha to do what LT is doing for them and we shall come and make this uselessss site history

And tell your boss RB to fire Max Nkole and hire British lawyers after all they pay for the cases anyway

  20. This is just a waste of time with the bunch of incompetent prosecutors being used. For the life of me, they couldn’t even charge FTJ with tax evasion – which is an open and shut case. After all, he did admit to receiving money from “well-wishers”.

  21. #19 and 21

Just in case You are lazy to read as is typical of thieves like you ..here are the except from their ABOUT US

LT is an electronic news platform that allows all types of users to have an open discussion on the day to day current issues in Zambia
    …..
    and
Our day to day news content comes from known Zambian sources like Zambia Daily-Mail, Times of Zambia, ZNBC and ZANIS. These are the giants whose shoulders we stand on.

Now go tell your bosses to do the right thing. In fact you should be paying tax to LT for doing a better job than your MMD govt media despite access to all the resources

  22. LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT OF ZAMBIA:

Mr., President, you recently conveyed to the world that you are pleased with your fellow Zambian’s acceptance of the Chiluba trial.

No, Mr. President, I’m afraid you’ve had a severe lapse of judgment on that one. Zambians have not accepted this result as you purport. And I’m not only talking about the readers and contributors to this blog. Zambians are disgusted and very disappointed.

We’re made in the image of God. God is a just being. Justice Mr. President, that’s all we ask for.

No, Mr. President I think you’ve deliberately chosen to exist in a sphere that only includes your chosen officials and other beneficiaries of the theft Matrix. You’re arrogantly ignoring the vast majority of Zambians that are crying foul.

  23. CONTINUATION OF LETTER TO THE PRESEIDENT….The average Zambian (who by the way you’re supposed to be serving also) is not at all pleased with the outcome of this trial.

Mr. President, Sir, understand that it has now become bare for all to see; the judiciary has been grossly interfered with.

Mr. President, let me caution you, when people begin to lose faith in the way the judiciary operates, a very unstable state of affairs emerges. Be very careful when you pen the instructions to be given to your judges (delivered by the shu shu shus) over the Kabwela case. We’re watching you very carefully Mr. President.

  24. LT are a blogging site, they seek opinions on the stories which are in public domain emanating from different media houses so why should they generate their own news.they were basically set up for that purpose and it’s purely nosensical for you ass holes to pour scorn on them.it simply shows that you dont have or have little understanding how LT operates.

  25. LETTER TO MY FELLOW ZAMBIANS:

Fellow Zambians, the time has come to rise above mediocrity and take responsibility for the direction our beloved country is going in. Fellow countrymen, we have everything we need for the creation of a prosperous nation in Zambia! What has gone wrong?

The problem with us is that we’re so quick to forget. With each passing day RB’s plot gets more intricate.

One of his first maneuvers as acting president was the pay increase for government officials. Not cool; especially when vital professions like nursing and teaching are poorly funded.

His very first official trip as head of state was to corruption rich Nigeria. Interesting, what did he go to learn there? How to execute high level governments scams perhaps?

    Then he proceeded to push…

  26. Are you completely, totally f!ck!ng nuts or simply blind and stoopid! We don’t need another moth!f*kcing 7 years of wasting tax-payers’ money chasing some stoopid trial whose outcome depends on the dedcision of a fat, rubbery stinking state house monkey.
F*ck you and your rotten system, you taskforce B!tches ain’t sh!t.
You’re just afraid that with the cases closed there will be no cash for you to patch the holes in your d!ck

  27. CONTINUATION OF LETTER TO MY FELLOW ZAMBIANS….Then he proceeded to push for the disposal of Zamtel. What!

The arrogance he displayed in his rapid reappointment of Dora Siliya is also very disturbing. I don’t necessarily think she possesses any superior credentials that make her indispensable to his cabinet, especially after the public outcry over the happenings at the ministry of communication. It goes to show that his style of leadership is not centered on Zambians and their needs.

Then of course we have his intransigence over the sale of Zamtel.

And now we have his nonsensical comments about the controversial verdict in Chiluba’s trial.

Fellow citizens, it’s clear that our leaders are meddling with the judiciary.

And now he instructs Nkole to appease us…

  28. CONTINUATION OF LETTER TO MY FELLOW ZAMBIANS…And now he instructs Nkole to appease us with word of other pending Chiluba cases. Please!

What am I getting at with this? My point is simple; It is not enough for us to vent our frustrations in these online forums.

This cowardly approach to critical national issues is the reason why many of our leaders continue to abuse national wealth. For the most part they operate unchecked!

It has been rumored that Chiluba (while serving as presido) once said “Zambians are very easy to lead because they are so docile/sleepy”. I don’t know for certain if he really said this but our reaction to recent happenings in our beloved country is slightly worrisome.

I don’t take pleasure in insulting my President in these forums but…

  29. CONTINUATION OF LETTER TO MY FELLOW ZAMBIANS…I don’t take pleasure in insulting my President in these forums but c’mon guys; these lack luster leaders have to go and seek other occupations.

Read the history of any great nation. The ascension always begins with a group of people putting their foot down and saying enough is enough.

Yes, I’m a peace loving Zambian just like you are. But peace is not going to provide baseline healthcare services so that women don’t have to give birth on the side of the road. Peace is not going to feed the many hungry Zambians that are struggling to make living on K300,000 / month. Peace is not going to educate the millions of Zambians going without quality education while millions of dollars sit in personal bank accounts of former/current…

  30. CONTINUATION OF LETTER TO MY FELLOW ZAMBIANS… Peace is not going to educate the millions of Zambians going without quality education while millions of dollars sit in personal bank accounts of former/current leaders.

The time has come for the birth of pioneers in Zambia. We need a revolution! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not advocating violence; I’m talking about peaceful civil disobedience as modeled by Mahatma Gandhi.

Fellow Zambians, we cannot wait for others to do it, each of us as patriotic citizens should take ownership of these issues.

The time to act is right here right now.

I’ll end with the words of Barack Obama

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we…

  31. cyberjz,
Having made that passionate plea, can you guide me by proposing about two probable people you think we can look up to as potential presidents who can provide that desired change.

  32. fellow zambians .are we to sit idle and watch politicians mess up with the judiciary?what are we doing as citizens?it is clear that the judgement was tempered with and that doesnt rule out the meddling of politicians.i am requesting for the citizens to rise up and defend our country from these vultures.we have unprincipled leaders.look at Dr. Machungwa.he is now worshipping FTJ when he was one of the parliamentarians that removed FTJ’s immunity.what has changed now that he sees FTJ a saint?its disgusting.RB has dug a grave for himself.LEVY was a principled man and he knew what he stood for.the fight against corruption he begun has gone to ruins because of the selfishness of RB.what a shame.i think he (RB) is thinking backwards due to age.SHAME

  33. AKAPONDO,
You must be analytical.its like you are thinking backwards too.you are a shame to this generation of patriotic Zambians

  34. Levy was principled, but in perpetuating tribalism and the family tree. Just give me one thing that Levy did that helped the common man of Zambia? Pick one
    1. Economically
    2. Social Justice
    3. Education
    4. Health Care
    5. Politically, apart from canceling VP position in MMD which has led to confusion in that party
Please let us know what Levy did makes you think he was principled.

  35. Folks. This Nkole is smart
Just when you think you are seeing the end of him he comes again, ( Like the freak in Friday the 13th)
    He comes back for MORE

Max is smart he prosecuted crimes against Humanities in the UN for various countries. Top lawyer, careful chiluba

  36. BUT BA MAX, MULICIPUBA, MULEICINDIKAKO NAIMWE, U TOOK THE BEST CASE TO COURT, IT TOOK TASK FORCE OVER 6 YEARS TO WIN IT AND FINALLY IT HAS BEEN SHOT DOWN. NOW U AR LOOKING FOR WEAKER CASES TO KEEP YOUR SELF ON A PAY ROLL. MY WORD OFR EVERYONE WASTING TIME ON CHILUBA IS THAT U DONT KNOW THE GUY U ARE MESSING WITH. THE GUY IS NOT ONLY TOO CRAFT BUT A MASTERMINDER. MUSELELAKWAKABA.

  37. every leader has his own weaknesses.you can point out those for sure but he never tolerated stealing of public funds.i wonder whether you are using your brains to reason or you are just one of those boot lickers.be analytical ba Kalos2020

  38. Nkole. Dont waste our time. As long as Akulu mpuno is head Of State, The case will resolve in favour of Chiluba. We Zambians are sick and tired and frustrated. We are better off by letting catastroph strike people like Chiluba and Rupiah Banda. My next appeal is to all Zambians to VOTE OUT AKULU MPUNO.. If he rigs then we consdier worst case scenario.

  39. So it means Levy did nothing apart from hounding FTJ. Thank you. How did Levy acquire the Palabana Land owned by UNZA? Does it mean UNZA didn’t need that land? Sir/Madam, please find out the meaning of corruption. Evening the putting of family on govt payroll is corruption. The perpetuation of tribalism and nepotism are worse vises that could have led our great nation in worse problems than we have. Levy, in fear of having some people as VP canceled the VP position in MMD. The last time I checked, that is what dictators do. Making decisions arbitrary. Wrong guy.

  40. The big question we should ask ourselves is why are these cases just resurfacing now? What happened to these cases all this time? Nkole did not cast his nets wide. So he now has to recast his nets at the expense of the tax payers of Zambia and the Zambian legal system. Bwana Nkole, this is what is called double jeopardy in legal circles. You lost. Give up.

  41. # 46, Inchinje shi? There is nothing to change here apart from accepting the truth. This is not about me, but the failures of Nkole and his boss Levy. Don’t try to change me, I don’t make those decisions in Zed. In fact I have no bearing to the way Zambia is led. So, trying to change me is a waste of energy. I can join you in whining, but what benefit will that brings us?

  42. # 50, about the London Judgment, Chiluba the last time I checked was President of Zambia and not UK. I don’t think Chiluba ever lived in England. That judge still thinks Zambia is a colony. Sorry muzungu, we are a sovereign nation and will never go back to your colonial rule. Just in case that Judge forgot, Zambia got independent in 1964.

  43. Now this is a joke. All the cases were tackle how come the others were reserved. leave him alone you just want to toucher the man. God will work on you, continue tissing the man.

  44. What are the credentials of Max Nkole? Does he really have any winnable cases? The truth is Chiluba created a mafia web where they stole from ordinary Zambians like you and me Levy would not bring these up if he did not find the theft appalling. Zambains have suffered for long at the hands of their leaders, its time these leaders became accountable to us the citizens I SAY VIVA MORE CASES ABASH IMMUNITY!!!

  45. # 54, Brian, it baffles me that you cannot argue your points but call others names. Now people are wondering who the dog is. The one just insulting or the other person in me who is arguing his points. Now since you have contributed, can you argue your points and give us your take on the issue at least with some substance?

  46. CHI HOLA HOLA,
banoko umulembwe munzikiti, what sensible analysis are you posting here if not your usual farts.you dickhead ought to know that for any reasonable change to come by you have to identify leadership to champion the cause and not just yapping like in your case.elo kapuli ulemoka kwati naunona sana ulevundula fye abali bonse.uichindike shimabolo.

  47. Some of you are behaving like protesters who just join in a protest without checking the facts. Asked why they are protesting, answer is everyone is protesting. We cannot develop a nation with a people like that. Give your points and let us debate them. They might just be the ones that we have been looking for the past 45 years? Don’t just insult.

  48. Nkole should just give up his job and let someone who can handle complex issues in a fair and speedy manner. The Arms scandal will only make him vulnerable to the CIA.If he is sensible enough he should start with Bush.

  49. #50 true true.I remember when LPM was appointed the first time, the disappointment of the Zambian people could be felt everywhere in the Country,But people moved on,past their expectations and dreams. The best way (and more mature) is to plan how we will change things for the better Zambia and not whining and insulting until you end up being depressed. If we did it with KK,we can move on to something better.

  50. I see a lot of you attacking Nkole with no basis in fact, and forgetting that many of these cases before the Task Force only began to move after he took over from Mark Chona who had been content to just roll along and do nothing while at the same time he amassed a vast amount of wealth from the donor-funded Task Force. Analyze issues correctly and fairlyZambians. Don’t be blinded by partisan politics.

  51. Chenda Bwamba (nice name, by the way!!) @ 60, you are absolutely right! Too many armchair critics in Zambia and on this blog many of whom have only a vague idea and no full understanding of the issues they are commenting on. Those calling for the dismissal of Nkole or indeed the disbanding of the Task Force are being short-sighted. That entity, as we have been told repeatedly, was set up to investigate the corruption that took place under the Chiluba regime. His acquittal in HIS case does not mean the end of all the corruption cases that occurred during his presidency.

  52. CONT’D…It does not even mean other cases against HIM are similarly suspended or thrown out. This appears to be the misconception Chiluba himself and his supporters seem to be living under.

  53. Even before Chinyama’s “Not guilty” verdict had actually been delivered, Mr. Ru.pi.ah Ban.da was reportedly making a statement to some captive audience to the effect that he was glad the “majority of Zambians” supported the verdict. Now, that is very strange! Which “majority” did he have in mind? How come he knew the verdict before it had even been concluded? Was that the reason for Chinyama’s postponement of the verdict from Friday to Monday?

  54. Nkole crap! crap! crap! crap! crap! go back to zambia police and arrest street vendors you have failed crap! crap! crap! you want another eight years of allowances and white suites go put on that uniform crap! crap! crap! We dont need another eight years wasting our tax payers money. Chiluba never signed any of those contracts Nkole thats another aquittal, the arms deal with katumbi is interesting how can the same prosecutor be a lawyerof the defendant and the complainant? crap! crap! We are more enlightened now tham before all this is circus bullshit? Go back to your buju job and work deal with shishita cases there you might be effective crap! crap!

  55. I rather agree with #3. What has the task force been doing over the last eight years? You can’t subject someone to an eight year ordeal and then when he is cleared you bring up another case. It does not show our legal system in good light. It is bad enough that the case took eight years! Does he want another eight years of the same thing? It would just be a waste of money.

  56. Yep, guys. So what. You leave FTJ alone. Kaunda is guilty, Mwanawasa worse. FTJ has been just victimized. Let’s hear this land and learn from Madiba. You all guys as long as you are earthlings are guilty of many issues. Ba Post , eh. What a bunch of losers. So hateful of Chiluba, I am disgusted of today’s editorial. Whoever opinion they uphold, not Zambian. Wrong on Mwanawasa, wrong on Sata, wrong on Magande, wrong on chiluba, f’ off. Homosexual Membes and vengeful on FTJ, maybe some old sex score. Makes me sick

  57. kalos 2020,
Stick to what you believe is right my brother.dont let sub humans like hola hola naka aka l i t o l e ati ka brian disuade your independent line of thought.you can see that the half brains can not even argue with points like what you are doing. They cant because their brains are still in the foetus stage.and you see how silly these boys can be they cant identify themselves with who they would think can best replace rupiah as they propagate.the reason is simple they are for sata who is not even any better than rupiah.

  58. Kalos2020 Do you notice a lot of people are seeing through your circumsized brain. How silly and pathetic are you to claim the London judgementis pointless and racist when it was your imaginary father chiluba who was kissing muzungu’s asses in the UK to hide his money. If you go into UK jurisdiction and so stupid things you are liable to be sued in that jurisdiction. And I cannot understand why a plunder benefiary like you can’t put the simple idea of the case being CIVIL i.e it had nothing to do with the uk government and was brough by the zed govt.. The name of the case was AG of Zambia VS meek desai, learn to use the chimponda above your neck before you talk out of your ********** *****. The zed courts had no jurisdiction in the Uk simple but your re tarded self can’t understand

  59. Kalos2020 Do you notice a lot of people are seeing through your circumsized brain. How silly and pathetic are you to claim the London judgementis pointless and racist when it was your imaginary father chiluba who was kissing muzungu’s asses in the UK to hide his money. 60. Chiluba is rushing somewhere! wonder why we don’t have firing squads!he should be absolved of all accusations in the courts period!he is as guilty as the Devil himself!he needs to be exorcised of his demons and wash blood of his hands! Zambians, let’s see the wolf in the sheep’s skin…………

  61. In my opinion the Uk court of appeal showed you what a proper case is supposed to be handled like. From the witness statements, time period and even their transparency. Chiluba was shamed in his absense when all the things he did were put out in the open, his only defence was an ad hominem of crying ‘racist’. The part of the case that jumps out and shows chiluba’s true character is how he tried to make Mandela’s lawyer into a crook. The only reason why chiluba and his confused imaginary children like kalos2020 is crying racist is because the same country you wantedhelp from to hide the money turned on you. If it wasn’t for the Uk courts none of the evidence of zamtrop would have ever been released.

  62. Dream on. You think hakasata will win this caming presidential elections with the big noise around? You will cry. Blacks will always black and bad minded.

  63. #71 Slam dog. You are taking this issue too personal that even your language sounds more of a person who has no direction. You are bent on insulting but cannot convince even a two year old kid. What is your problem? Doesn’t maturity exists in your life? You have spoken about your court in England thankfully even the Judge in Zed saw that as meddling in internal affairs. So, argue points not personalities. You are really an angry person. I am really having fun with your childish jiblish talk. I wish you knew what you are talking about about the case in England. Can you now discuss sovereignty of Zambia. I want to laugh at your rantings.

  64. If you want to laugh go back to yesterday’s post on your conclusion that the UK case doesn’t exist. If you want to fracture a rib from laughing You might want to pick up a dictionary on what the word jurisdiction and sovereignty means it seems that eludes you. If you are stu.pid enough to think a zambian judge with laughable reasoning is sovereign go to ZAMLII and read zambian cases you will see they still use outdatd english law textbooks, english law and 18th century english legislation. Remember your imaginary father got acquitted by a judge that interprets adopted english law(zambian law) in one of the worlds most corrupt and small courts, on comparison with FTJ’s guilty charge in the world’s top corut…………..do the math mental midget

  65. This POST’s “Mr Chiluba can rejoice this week that his fortunes have turned: the former president has been acquitted on six charges of theft. As a devout Christian, he gave God the credit for his exoneration and hailed the return of “the Almighty’s” favour” is a good start at not misusing the titles of Doctor, Dr. on characters that have questionable education althought they were honoured with Doctrates which do not allow them to teach in Universities.
As for “The Task Force on Corruption has described the application by second republican President,Frederick Chiluba, requesting parliament to restore his immunity as premature and desperate, I like this courage and I hope President RB Banda will be on the side of the State of which he is Head.

  66. To those trying to impart sense in kalos2020, the brother needs prayers for his level is that of an Islamic or muslim fundamentalist probably driven by tribalism which he tried so hard to link me too. Surprising enough, now that Mr Chiluba — whom he seems to be a relative to — has been acquitted, kalos2020 seems to have forgotten about his rants on Mr VJ Mwaanga — who is a serious friend to Mr Chiluba. Anyhow, I will keep tracking this character’s behaviour.
    Have a blessed day all.

  67. Guys lets be serious why hero worship thieves, I’m very disappointed, thats why chiluba tells you thats you are docile people I have seen now . A person steals from you and worship them . Indeed this country is a collection of defeated people and hopeless educated fools.

  68. 81 rain maker greetings. Following your “Guys lets be serious why hero worship thieves, I’m very disappointed, thats why chiluba tells you thats you are docile people I have seen now . A person steals from you and worship them . Indeed this country is a collection of defeated people and hopeless educated fools.“, all I will write is that we have terrible tribalists on this forum who take pride in insulting others while the express their tribalism clearly for even a dull person to take note. While I am happy with Mr Chiluba’s being acquitted message, there are a lot of problems with regard to the speed of restoring his immunity. Why?
    Have a blessed day all.

    Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all shall be added unto you.

  69. 81 rain maker, the tribalists do not apply any rational thinking as regards what they write about others. All they are happy with now is that there tribesman has been declared free of the USD 500000 st ea ling allegation. Instead of looking at the big picture where they pending cases are still ongoing, they are now quick to throw unnecessary mad at the British.
There is one thing that I have come to realise about the white fellow human beings — most of them love us black people but they keep getting disappointed at the way we manage our affairs. I thus long for a time when we shall treat them a partners in development who want us better.
    Have a blessed day all.

  70. I love this. Now since we can speak on behalf of justice we are labeled tribalists, and by who? Hardcore tribalists. Wonderful. Guys you take these debates here so personal that it dwarfs your capabilities to debate in a rational way. Chiluba was acquitted, not by us but the Zambian court. So you guys you don’t respect justice unless it hoes your way? Wow. About imparting sense, why impart sense in others when you yourself 99.9% of your blogs don’t make sense? Accept it, you will not reverse the verdict no matter how you rant. With regard to my debates, my response is go pound sand. You are of no consequence in my life. You can fly your kites, I mean rockets, I really don’t need them.

  71. The tribalists fail to appreciate truth and are bent on lying which comes from the devil. I am watching them and I will continue exposing them. As for the rest of sensible Zambians, let us continue to demand the whole truth from Mr Chiluba even if the watch dog zambia has reported that “the government is preparing to convene parliament as per request of Chiluba and the speaker is being pressured by government“. Which government is this one being reported here? Is it the MMD GRZ lead by President RB Banda or which one else?
By God’s grace, all will be known at the right time and I implore culprits to just tell the Nation tha whole truth. Mr Nkole, please go on.

  72. # 77, Slam Dog, nishani boy, ingulu shaisa? You sound like ulesemuka. Teka umutima. There is more to come. You are playing with politicians, you will have a heart attack. Oh, the English you touched on could be latin. Read it closely and the lawyers understand it. It is not meant for you British people. Zambia is no longer under British rule hence the difficulties you are finding in the language. It is the same here in USA, football is something else, cricket is baseball, I love it the distancing from TUBE, instead of Metro or Underground Train. So you are drinking tea and biscuits?

  73. The people of Zambia should appeal this case.Number of questions arise,What about all the property Task Force confiscated from King Fred.We are not talking about suits.Ealier in the start of cases. We herad about the apartments bought using Zamtrop Account in BELGIUM,$20 ARMS SCANDLE,MONEY LAUNDERED WITH MOSES KATUMBI THE GOV. OF LUBUMBASHI,CONGO.STOLEN PROPERTY TRANSFERED TO HIS WIFE REGGINA MWANZA.ETC All this has dissappeared now we only hear of a paltry $500,000.00.Zambians we have been cheated!read back the start of the whole case when THE POST COVERED THE CASE in verbatim”In a case Chiluba is a theif” remember that?

  74. Eh Maestro, is it you getting that Grade 11 kid we have been told your chief has put on the market? Man, that is some kind of a trophy. How did the chief pick you? From Lt blog? Congratulations. You see, this blogging of yours has won you ka gelo. At least you have someone to spend time with.

  75. Justice delayed is justice denied!!!! It is just as wrong for the TASK FORCE to try and milk these case to line their own pockets as it is for FTJ to rush for immunity as a savior from all his other sins (plunder). The Task Force should have proceeded on several fronts to nail this guy (Kafupi) if they really had the interest of the nation and justice at heart. To keep dragging these cases, for God knows what, is very costly and unfair to the accused. You can’t just keep a suspect or the accused in limbo in the hope that something comes up to enhance the chances of conviction. If the Task Force have evidence about all these cases, then lets get on with it and nail him, otherwise let us all move and fight corruption on a serious note. The TASK FORCE should not be “Cash Cow” for laws!!!

  77. Following concerns raised by Zambia Diaspora Connect and subsequent participation at the National Indaba held between 4th and 5th April 2009, the organisation is pleased to announce that a Diaspora Desk has now been established at State House by His Excellency, President Rupiah Bwezani Banda.
The Diaspora Desk at State House is under the office of the Special Assistant to the President, Economic and Development Affairs. The desk will be in constant liaison with the Zambian Diaspora in exploring ways to enhance Diaspora participation in the development of the nation. Mrs. Ngoza Munthali, Chief Policy Analyst at State House has been appointed as the focal contact person. In their communiqué (ref. SH/101/6/3), State House also reaffirmed the National Constitution Commission’s acceptance…

  78. State House also reaffirmed the National Constitution Commission’s acceptance of the recommendation on dual nationality which was another area of concern raised at the National Indaba.

Establishment of the Diaspora Desk marks a milestone in the aims of Zambia Diaspora Connect and as an organisation; our primary commitment is to push the Diaspora’s agenda.

  79. Its not fair to call the procecutors incompetent as if you were there in court. the investigations and procecution were done well enough to warrant a conviction. some other forces are what turned the coin to the other side

  80. Mr. Banda,

Have you seen how stupid you are. you were quoted on Tuesday as saying you are happy, Zambians have accepted the verdict of Chiluba’s case. Now the Law enforcement agents and the Zambian are saying Chiluba has still got cases to answer. This purely shows that you influenced Monday’s judgement. For you Chiluba, why so so much in a hurry. It just shows that you are hinding something. Wait, let the Law take it’s course.

  81. This joker’s just don’t get it. Now they want to continue wasting state funds prosecuting the man. Just let it slide and use the money on development or something that will bear fruit. This chapter is really getting tired..and then some. Give it up..whats the point of focusing on crap that wont take anyone anywhere expect put stacks of cash in shady hired lawyers

  82. “Chiluba nwas a damn good President”, says RB. This is true. A person remains as such even if he has committed henious crimes. Despite allegations, not taking any sides whether he did steal or not, Dr. FTJ was a good President. You are have this freedom to insult him because he and others brought the freedom of speech. Do not tell me Dr. Kaunda is held in high esteem because he did not commit any fraud in office. I can tell he did. But you could not talk at the time. This does not we should not speak when leaders go wrong. We should but with respect taking recognizance that what we are enjoying is part of their hard work. You should understand that he is only exercising his right. Unless you dont know law, you would do the same to defend yourself against arbitrary arrest. Wake up.

  83. Ba Nkole may be it’s time to start looking for a job. In these hard times but am sure you have made enough to sustain you till you get another job. Just keep watching the space. If it were not for this I believe you could still be employed. I wish you the best. Levy f**** up big time. I know you are closely linked with Fred Mmembe via Mnchito. ama ethics baba yakana. Jindi jasika. I wish ka Mudala all the best in his future endeavors. Fred there is plenty to report about your oppinion does not matter to a vast majority of individuals with active minds.

  84. There is nothing new Max Nkole is talking about on the remaining cases of FTJ. Billions of Kwacha which are supposed to be channed revamping the operations of ZP, ACC, DEC and other GRZ agencies have failed to yield tangiable results. The man and his team are just interested in getting allowances. Disband the Task Force and if there are any cases let them be transferred to ACC,DEC and ZP. Zambia needs to move forward. Task Force never sealed all the loop holes and no wonder FTJ is free and those who have bin convicted let them serve the jail terms coz those are the rewards of serving a Head of State, to me they are colletral damage. Did Nkole not serve under FTJ as His Commender In Chief. Max should start looking for a job elsewhere or start a security consultancy firm for his survival.

  85. All you who are mourning against Chiluba’s aquital, I feel sorry for you, venting out your anger and all. You must realise that Chiluba should have been convicted during the time of Levy- one and half terms, and considering that Levy was always commenting on the case even when it was in court. But all that time the case could not be concluded because of flimsy cases and lack of evidency although Levey really wanted to punish Chiluba. And with help of post he managed to convince all you simple minds that Chiluba was guilt. As for the Post they procecuted and found Chiluba guilt in there paper. The Post is not the court and jury. So you people who take the report of the Post as gospel truth will be disappointed. Leave Chiluba alone let him rest

  86. Chiluba is a thief and will remain a thief in our eyes, he has now stolen RB. The old man is blind, he can’t see. All he morals have been eroded by Chiluba, by the time he realises there will be nothing left for him and for zambia

  87. Iwe #105
Don’t be funny, the problem with you is that you forget easily. That doll called chiluba was ever a sickly during the reign of LPM until now after regrouping with Nyama soya to plunder zambia part two. You must be one of them

  88. #103

Rubish commentry, “jindi jasika” WHAT LANGUAGE is that? It just shows us how shallow minded you are, make a research before yapping any how

  89. PLEASE BA NKOLE, DO NOT WASTE OUR RESOURCES. WE NEED TO FOCUS ON OTHER THINGS. HOW COULD YOU NOT PROSECUTE CHILUBA’S “CLEAR CASES” FOR EIGHT YEARS. YOU ARE A BIG JOKE! WE CANT WATCH YOU AND YOUR COLLEAGUES EAT MONEY ENDLESSLY BECAUSE YOU WANT TO FIGHT THE POST’S BATTLE AGAINST CHILUBA. LET THE POST FIGHT THERE PRIVATE BATTLES WITH CHILUBA USING THERE RESURCES, NOT INCITING THE USE OF OUR MONEY. INFACT WE SHOULD KNOW HOW IT HAS BEEN USED. THERE ARE RUMOURS OF PEOPLE AT THE TASK WHO ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE WAY MONEY HAS BEEN ALLEGEDLY ABUSED. LET NKOLE OPEN THE BOOKS LIKE OTHER GOVT INSTITUTIONS. HE SHOULD NOT PUSH THE ZAMBIANS TOO FAR. THERE IS NOW A CLEAR FALL OUT. I HAVE STOPPED TO SUPPORT THIS PERSECUTION NOSENSE TO ENRICH A FEW EVEN WHEN THEY CLEARLY KNOW THERE ITS WAST OF TIME

  90. #109 cm. Quality will recquire money. Cheap will need no money. Night is not Day. Mr. Nkole is right. Why do we Zambians glorify crooks. Let money be spent even BILLIONS to ensure that PLUNDERERS are sent to prison no matter how small the amount they store compared to money spent in the proccess.Keep it up Brother MAX

  91. Mr Nkole is very much right .i totally agree with him. What makes FTJ to be in a hurry if he knows his is genunilly inocent.let Nkole and his team finish ther investigations we see how free he will be.

  92. Is Nkole and taem working for Mahala or getting hefty allowances at the expense of competent men and women at ACC, ZP and DEC to some extent. Results are there to prove that Task Force on Corruption & Plunder of National Resources has not achieved its desired results. The whole project had political linings. It was meant to sort out political differences between certain political interests after rigging 2001 elections which Late Andy clearly won. The major political players in one camp had their projects sooner than later in disaray hence serious differences and it ppolitical manouvering for survival and the players that had the key to Executive Power powered its way up and had had other players within same camp caged for its survival. All sorts of acts were done to neuturalise this & that

  93. Its unfortunate Nkole as a serious & professional cop has bin caught in a political web. The politicians have no permanent enemies but have their short, medium and long term interests to serve first. These men & women have set themselves up in both the ruling & opposition and whcih ever Party forms GRZ they share positions whilst the common suffers abuse due no provision of social services. UNIP was ruling Party now its MMD 2morrow its may be the PF/UPND. A close look at the ruling class it has bin the same faces ever since with a few guys being fused in. To them its Primier Club. Belive me or not. the ruling class closely woven such that u may think when they insult each other in public they are arch enemies but are closely related thru marriage, businesses etc. Chiluba is no exception.

  94. 89 Kalos2020 , your sick accusing behaviour if not changed will lead you to a very bad endind and I advise you to desist from inulting your fellow human beings.
Mr Chiluba FTJ has been acquitted and the law will take its course on the remaining things over him and so there is no need for you to start insulting others over something that is straight forward to understand. Mr Chiluba FTJ does not need to panic about immunity but actually must challenge the task force to bring more charges on him so that he can be cleared beyond any reasonable doubt.

I hope your fundamentalist behaviour will now include rational thinking by applying truth to your contributions as opposed to trying to stop others from expressing their thoughts nicely.
    Be blest all.

    Matthew 6:33

  95. Wheather the Post like it or not Chiluba has been aquited. The decision is not up to them. We are sick and tired of their hatred and spirit of vengence against Chiluba. If Membe is not careful he will be sick of BP, sugar etc and die like Levy did just because of this hatred. Chiluba told you that ‘do no harm to the anointed’ so membe watch out. And we don’ care about your evil opinion.

  96. Without further delay I now confer psalm 109 on Mmembe and Nkole. May this psalm take effect so that these men can learn not to used by evil handlers. Enjoy the fruits of this Psalm.

  97. #115, Maestro, I am a debater and every time I hammer, you sink deep. Your attacks and crazy talk will not deter my vision. I win debates whether you insult me or I insult you. I win. You will pray to your god for anything against me, but remember I will be here. I will never change my blog name or fear to use my real name. I say what I believe in and what I believe in I will say. You can call me a tribalist, but the truth is in the pudding. By the way, next week I will give you space as Fall classes begin on Monday. I will be learning new things and be teaching how to fly kites, another form of rocket science. Maestro and your friend Slam Dog (Pit Bull). Attack.

  98. #108 what is it that has upset you about my expression ? Did you confuse my expression with your language? I am sure you are smarter than that.Take your own advise. Just for future reference I do not converse with individuals who believe and think being rude is the way to convey ones point. Next time I will not respond.

  99. # 43 Holala you are either a lier or ignorant. Your are saying that Levy didn’t tolerate stealing public funds, how come he embrased Mabenga after the Court found him guilt of stealing funds. And you would be shocked to know that the stealing the took place duirng Levy’s time surpased that of KK and FTJ. The stealing of billions at MoH happened moslty during Levys time. And when the Audior General tried to prob, Levy stopped them and all the time he was protecting the PS at MoH while he stole our money. Just wait unitl the truth comes out in the open and then you will be shocked. rest my case

  100. Twanaka. Seven years of court and Task Force has lost. Those new cases the Task Force is talking about will take another seven years at least. What makes them think that they win this time? And to think of the billions spent on allowances!

  101. If chiluba was a world class player how much can he cost for tranfser to another club? $500,000 for grabs answer now

  102. Pretty section of content. I just stumbled upon your web site and in accession capital to say that I acquire in fact loved account your blog posts. Any way I will be subscribing in your feeds or even I fulfillment you get right of entry to persistently quickly.
