Baby boy dumped in Mufulira

A two day old baby boy has been picked up in Mufulira after being dumped by an  unknown mother.

The baby was found by passersby in Kantanshi Township in a furrow while wrapped in a
charcoal sack in the outskirts of the township.

Ronald Ross General Hospital Executive Director ,Dr Makasa Sichela confirmed to
ZANIS in an interview today that the baby boy is being taken care of by the
hospital.

Dr. Sichela said the baby was brought to the hospital by members of the public who
left him at the hospital’s community police post yesterday.

He said the boy is in good health and is responding well to feeding.

District Police office ,when contacted, said they are not aware of the development
but they will institute investigations.

They are alot of people who are motherless, trying all ways in this world that you can think of for them to have that greatest gift the Lord has given you for free (child) elyo iwe walaposa? Bushe ilyo walecensa amolu, tawaishibe end result? If you do not want to look after kids, you better close your legs! One day you will not get away with it.

  2. This is really sad. Some of us are busy admiring people with baby boys en yet this girl goes out there to dump the innocent baby, shame on you. I wish you brought that baby to me. That girl deserves to be punished en let her feel it. There a lot of people suffering with their children, not knowing what they are going to eat at that particular day, where the food is going to come from but those children grow up well by the grace of our God. This is very sad en she should be severely punished.
