What you believe about yourself—your self-esteem, your sense of value, your sense of worth—sets the limits for your life. It sets the limits for your ability to love others the way God intends. The problem that many people have today is they don’t really even like themselves. They constantly focus on their faults and shortcomings and then wonder why they don’t enjoy life or have any enthusiasm or why their relationships aren’t working. Understand that you cannot be negative toward yourself and expect to live a positive, faith-filled life. In order to love yourself so that you can love others, you have to have a mentality makeover. If you’ll get your thinking corrected and start thinking like a champion, like a child of the Most High God, like you’ve been crowned with favor, you’ll be amazed at what will happen. When you change your mentality and allow thoughts of faith and victory to fill your heart and mind, that faith and victory will spill over onto the people around you. When you love yourself the way God loves you, that love will pour out on others as well. As you live and love the way God intends, you will find peace, joy, and victory in every area of your life!
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, I open my heart to You today and ask that You help me see myself and others the way You do. Fill me with Your love and confidence so I can love others the way You intend. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The last time I went to Church was 12 years ago. I fear to confess my sins before the priest. I’m a catholic. I believe in God. What should I do bloggers?
Jesus died for those sins you are afraid to confess. No sin is unforgivable. God is love and is always happy to see a prodigal son come back. Have faith in the blood of the lamb! May God shower his blessings on you.

#1, confess your sins to Jesus in prayer. He forgives sins. Infact, he’s the mediator between God and man. In the book of Hebrews, the Bible says “He [Jesus] lives to make intercession for us”, He is our high priest so you don’t have to go through anyone else – go straight to Him and foregiveness is assured.

#7 Mbulawa is a free thinker – don’t demonize him. Preachers like Joel Osteen, T.D Jakes, Imakando and the like are more of business men than anything else. Compare the way they run their ministries to the way Jesus and the Apostles did. Everything about their preaching ends up in asking members to contribute something so that they get “blessed”. You can’t watch a Joel Osteen DVD if you’re poor. They don’t come cheap; if you can’t affford them, then the kingdom of heaven does not belong to you.
I’m not Catholic, but with what I’ve come to learn, Catholics are close to the truth in as far as reaching out for the poor is concerned.

Joe Osteen is a good guy but have you noticed that he does not quote verses from the bible. I like his rumbling, though, make no bones about that.

#1 church doesn’t matter or have anything to do with your relationship with YHWH. Nobody in the bible went to church or neither is there a commandment saying every sunday you should report to an expensive building to listen to someones intepretation of a book you can read yourself.Follow the bible not teh church, they are just people that stand in the way of true worship. Nobody on judgement day will ask if you are catholic or anglican you will be asked if you repented and obeyed, not if you followed useless unbiblical church rules made by some people that rape children.
The bible is the only true communication we have with th creator . Not pastors of priests, don’t trust them because they are men that are vulnerable to the devil like all of us. And don’t pay them as well thinking you are paying for a good cause, if you pay them you are just paying people that are already rich and spend money on useless church buildings instead of the poor.

Don’t follow the foolishness of number 23, where in the bible does it say follow evangelical church? The son of man was a passover, shavuot, festival of tabernacles , tallit wearing jew that kept the law of moses(matthew5:18) . And remember he lived by example and came to save gentiles and jews and form one body to worship one set of beliefs. If you look at teh faith of the bible and compare it to any of these self righteous hypocrite churches you will notce they don’t do the same . I am a strongly convinced believer but I differ with my fellow believers in some issues. The problem is that Christians are very good at giving answers to questions that no one has asked. The Bible says take the beam out of your own eye first, before you remove the speck out of your brother’s eye.
For #1 and every one else, I recommend to read the Bible for yourself and God will reveal Himself to you according to your specific needs. If you seek Him earnestly, He will be found by you and then you will have no need for such life-training tips because He will guide you. Christ paid the price already and all you need to do is accept the gift of eternal life. God bless you all.
One thing I “like” about Joel Osteen is that he will give a whole psychological sermon about life using scriptural terms without reference to the Bible Scriptures and then ask you to buy his books that ‘explain’ the scriptures. Ever read one of his books? Tell me how many Biblical references you will find.

Joel Osteen has taken religion a little further. He’s more of a motivational speaker than an auhentic preacher. I think his approach is good if only he could tell the world who he is and what he stands for i.e businessman.
Just live clean and let your works be seen.
Romans 10:9-10 says if u confess with yo mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in yo heart that God raised him from the dead, u will be saved. For it is with yo heart that u believe and are justified , and it is with yo mouth that confess and are saved!Basic christianity!
#2 Mbulawa – this may seem nonsensical to you, but take heed that the unexpected may overtake you sooner. Hell is as real as the air you breathe. How do I know? The same way that you believe that your lecturer was telling the truth -its called faith. I pray God helps you with faith because He does not want to see any one die in their sins. What does the same bible you seem to defend say about ‘going to church’? What is the role of priests or pastors? #35 A very honest but difficult question indeed. To start with let me encourage you to look to Jesus because He alone is the Author and finisher of your faith. Secondly know that the bible does not put pastors or any person above infallibility. All are prone to sin. Having said this, ask yourself questions: does God sanction their work? Are they important? If the answers to these questions are yes, then you will be heading the right direction. You need to study God’s word just as the Bereans were commended for that; Acts 17:11 “Now the Bereans were of more noble character…for they received the message…and examined the scriptures..to see if what Paul said was true. I am your fellow Catholic and a strong believer in the Sacrament of Penance. Confession of sins makes us feel uneasy; but it gives you psychological relief and satisfaction, and there is an assurance that your sins are forgiven you. It takes a lot of courage to do that, but you are in safe hands, and the Lord will listen to your humility of heart. Be blessed and fear not, because a priest also goes to confession just like you; and he also feels awkward to mention his sins to his fellow priest in the confessional but all the same he summons his courage and confesses.

Joel Osteen is a good speaker and motivator, period ! His ‘sermons’ are all about making people become rich if you’re in financial strife or going through other problems – this would just about cover the majority of listeners out there!! Who wouldn’t want financial blessings? The problem I have with Joel Osteen and other evangelical preachers like our own Dan Pule is that it’s all about money at the end of the day. Christian Minsitry should not only be about receiving but about giving as well.

I must say that I have a different opinion about the man (Joel Osteen). In my view and the daily e-mails I receive from him I think that, probably only 1 of 100s of them has he drawn me into seeking for money or striving into financially supporting his ministry. In the majority of cases, he speaks about the brighter side of God, enjoying life, good health and peace of heart and mind as opposed to the fact we all have that God is the ONE ANGRY JUDGE waiting for anyone who errs and takes note in his BLACK BOOK. Deep down we all know that he is not really at all that. I think that you have demonised the man.

joel maybe be a preacher that people will critise but i think these messages are the same that motivation speakers are using and lives are being changes we really need a mind makeover for us to redirect our economy,attitudes,characters.sometimes we fail not because we are ment to but we dont know how to go about things or just lack of confidence and idetinty crisis. dont just throw away everything read understand and broaden knowledge.infor is power.somepipo pay alot to attend motivation serminers.
Bloggers,I need your advice. I have a problem with my wife who I married 6yrs ago and have 2 Kids over title to property.I have two houses,one plot and only one hse is co-owned and others plus one vehicle are all in my name. My wife has been asking me to change title of the car to her name but I refused.This has made her unhappy/sacarstic and even withdrawn her contributions from her pay to the project leaving me to do everything despite her getting good money.Ofcourse other 2hses + Car I single handedly funded them and at that time she had no job.We discussed this but she is adamant to reason with me.Please advise.
