Faz Premier League Week 26 Match Reports

The status quo was maintained in the top five of the table while it was musical chairs at the opposite end of the Faz Premier League table where bottom placed Green Eagles were the only losers this past weekend.

Chambishi 1- Kabwe Warriors 0

Kabwe Warriors came to Chambishi hoping to be the fourth team to win there this season but it was not to be.

They lost 1-0 instead to see struggling Chambishi who rise up slightly from 14th to 13th on the log in the process displacing Nkwazi who took Aggrey Chiyangi’s clubs former slot.

Striker Venacious Mapande scored the games lone goal to confine Warriors their second successive league defeat.

Power Dynamos 2- Roan United 2

Power Dynamos stayed put in 4th place after drawing 2-2 with Roan United in a doubleheader played at Nchanga Stadium in Chingola today.

Power were on the score sheet through Luka Lungu and guest player Chanda Mwaba while Ben Mwanza and Lyson Sikaonga were on target for 2nd from bottom Roan.

Nchanga Rangers 0- Young Arrows 0

It was scoreless in the second draw recorded at Nchanga Stadium on Sunday in the match between 9th placed Nchanga Rangers and former pacesetters Young Arrows in 6th position.

Nkana 1- Konkola Blades 1

Nkana stayed above the relegation zone but had to rally via a late equalizer to draw 1-1 at home against Konkola Blades who are also battling to escape the giant sucking sound of the drop-zone.

Blades to a 1-0 lead into the break through Robert Tembo but Nkana survived to get a point at home in the 88th minute through a Max Phiri goal.

Can someone expalin to me the mathematics involved as regards to Green Buffaloes.The table indicates that they have played 24 games,Won 11,Drawn 8,Lost 8.When you add the games won(11)+Drawn(8)+Lost(8) the total is 27.The table though shows that 24 games have been played.Can we have the one who has drawn this table re-do it so that we know the exact position.I am a GBFC supporter by the way!!!

  8. I watched the game Roan United Vs Power Dynamos at Nchanga stadium and it was disgrace bcoz the playing surface was extremely bad after it rained. A lot has to be done to improve the standard of football in this country.
