Share

Government says it has received information indicating that some political parties will go ahead with planned demonstrations this weekend over mealie-meal prices.

Home Affairs Minister,Kalombo Mwansa, says the law will deal firmly with people agitating violence over mealie-meal prices.

Dr. Mwansa says law enforcement agencies will not allow anyone to disturb the peace that the country has enjoyed over the years.

He said Ring Leaders of the planned demonstrations will face the wrath of the law.

Dr. Mwansa said there is no need for people to demonstrate as prices of mealie-meal are slowly going down.

He said opposition political leaders should not resort to organising demonstrations but advise government on how best the prices of mealie meal can be reduced further. President, Rupiah Banda, says demonstrating over critical issues affecting the country can only plunge the nation into chaos.

The President says dialogue is the best alternative to addressing national challenges.

He says his door is open to opposition leaders and other stakeholders for dialogue on national issues.

President Banda was speaking in Chongwe on Friday when he called on Chieftainess Nkomeshya Mukamabo of the soli people.

The President also said government will ensure that the effects of the global economic crisis are mitigated.

And Chieftainess Nkomesha said she is confident President Banda will address the problems that the nation is facing.

She said her chiefdom is ready to support government in its efforts towards develop the country.

  1. Well I announce that I believe the government should please just let them demonstrate and get it over with. Please don’t act in a dictatorial manner by issuing constant threats.

  2. I n I tink the govt should not stop people from demnstrating, its part of the democracy we keep talkin about. What the govt. should do is just keep the police on alert just in case there is violence.

  3. The govt should sometimes try to understant that its citizens have a right to speak out if things are not going on well.I believe its one of the fundamental principles of democracy under the bill of rights.Threatening to prosecute the planners is the violetion of human rights, abuse of powers,a symbol of dynasty within democracy and intimidation to the opinion of the people.MMD be ready to listen and accept criticism bcause that is the only way to practise mature politics.

  4. Kalombo, try and arrest them and you will see. I think you are the ones agitating for violence. There is nothing wrong with peaceful demos. CAREFUL!!! 8-|

  5. Ba Levy twayamba ukubafuluka already. M.H.S.R.I.E.P.

Our Government should concentrate on containing inflation and the ever depreciating Kwacha.

Ifyakulya ubushiku fifumina kumalushi. That could be the story of the Kwacha depriciating so fast.

Fact: Not everyone is meant to be a leader.

  6. Locking certain leaders up is a 100% sure way to plunge the nation into chaos. Look what happened with the police clumsy handling of Fr Bwalya… What more if they lock up these “ringleaders”? Govt should not listen to kachepa anyway, “it has receivied information” ala

  7. Naye MONEY we are geting tired of him,is he trying to be like uncle Bob???? vonse excuse at peace what is peace if pipo die of hunger??? by the way there are peacefull demo why batamangila to the law they want to abuse the law themselves by supressing freedom of expression?

  8. Leaders of this demo have a hidden agenda. its had to sustain a peaceful demonstration when people are bitter about politics and rising prices of food stuffs. The recent happenings in Greece should serve as an example.. lets avoid unnecessary agitation and maintain peace by all means.

  9. Guys thank you so much for your advices.to tell you the truth without you guys I really dont know who i was going to survive.I have not slept for two days now,but I think today I will have a good sleep.once again thank you so much for your time you spared to advice me.God bless you all.more jokes please at least ndesekako.I got my results today i have cleared all the subject, but I cant celebrate coz of what Iam going through. So utuma jokes tulengufwisha bwino please continue.

  10. bA PASTOR,AGITATION WHEN ONLY A HAND FULL OF THE 10MILLION PEOPLE IN ZAMBIA CAN AFFORD A DECENT MEAL AT THE EXPENCE OF SELFISH POLITICIANS, ACTUALLY IF HE SHOWED CONCERN TO THE CRY THIS MATTER WOULD HAVE BEEN HISTORY

  11. its not oposition parties why are they fearing to mention its PF leaders who believe in actions. u know the problem is the current Govt is not all that capable of handling issues if anything are the ones who can cause violence coz they just speak for president while PF speak for the zambian people. so lets pray hard for the govt to make right decisions to benefit the country

  12. It is like people when the become big in the government they always forget that there is poverty in the country since they happen to start stealing. Why are they worried about the demonstrations if there will be peaceful? The other thing is that they don´t care about us, go ahead guys as in spirit we will always be together. One Zambia, one nation. :x:x:x:x:x:x:x:x:x:x

Hallo everybody on the blog. Now let me read the story and comment. :d

  14. Zambians are very peaciful, let them demostrate and they will do it peacifully. If you want to see how other nations demostrate, look at what happens when they increase the price of Pasta in Italy or wheat in Greece. Ni kafwa fwa.

  15. WHEN THE GOVERNMENT STARTS FEARING THE PEOPLE, THEN WE WILL HAVE FREE LIBERTY AND DEMOCRACY BUT WHEN THE PEOPLE STARTS TO FEAR THE GOVERNMENT THEN WE ARE HEADING TOWARDS TYRANNY.

  16. Don’t intimidate any one.Wherwe is freedom of expression? Demonstrators are trying to air their views.Thats just one way of saying that the food situation is so bad in the country.
Food should be as cheap and available as possible , thats what we ‘ve seen in in America.
Gov should should sacrifice and subsidize farming inputs.

  17. Hey Baby C, I’m flattered big time. I was stock-taking in the company today, I’ve just returned and slowly freshening up..

  18. Ba Kamba ba Chale where have you been Zo-ona.hope you have eaten pantu mwalapona kunsala.Otherwise we are all fine.I have managed to copy and peste all the jokes and I have saved them in my email inbox.

  19. ok! On a real now, demostration.. its sad that it has had to come to this, if you think about it, the price of rice or potatoes in countries abroud is no where near as expensive as at home!

  20. Sweet thung,Sony Eric,Matworld -Nice guy, Unza mojo, Nine Chale, sarah Jones,Rashid,PF Die hard, and other bloggers.

Goodnight. Be good. Drink responsibly, i still need you here.If the almighty allows, i will see ya tomorrow.Love you all. 😡 Babyc signing off!

  21. This truly happened in Kitwe a few months ago:

A man was hitch hiking on a very dark night in the middle of a storm.
The night was rolling by and there was hardly a car on the road. The
storm was so strong that he could hardly see his feet in front of him.
Suddenly a car appeared and stopped. Without thinking, he got in and
closed the door, just to realize that there was nobody behind the
    steering wheel.

  22. The car moved off slowly. He looked ahead and saw a
curve in the road. Scared, he started praying, begging for his life. He
was terrified. Just before hitting the curve, a hand appeared through
the window and turned the steering wheel. The man now paralyzed with
fear, watched how the hand kept appearing every time he got to a curve.
Gathering all his courage, he jumped out and ran to the nearest lights
he could see. Wet and in shock, he went into a bar in Buchi and asked
    for a Rhino.

  23. Guys, who knows the reason why LT introduced the “tukadoolis” doing all sorts of rubbish? I had a dream of one of them scratching my head.

  24. guys LT won’t let me publish any more jokes!!! :(( anyways i’m signing off! Baby C speak to you later! I’m going back to work!! 🙂

  25. I’ve never seen such an uselesss govt like the current one in zed.starting from the president until down the cadres.
They’ve even failled to stop the kwacha depreciating just like zim dollas.Rb doesn’t have ideas. This is the reason why africa will never develop because we just pick sleeping people 2 rule us.I think sata would have been better choice. How are we will going to eat if stable food is expensive?ifi fibantu don’t understand why govt is there!
govt is there in order to support it’s people. If things are expensive let them subsidize the commodities.
it’s like they don’t use their brains to think.Their interest is to be rich.whites love their countries but a black man loves himself

  26. Why do these guys in government think that the demonstrators will be violent? Perhaps the difference between governments in civilised countries and those in backward countries such as Zambia is that in the former the message being conveyed in a peaceful demonstration is taken seriously whereas in the latter it is not. For it to be driven home it should be spiced with a bit of both insults and violence. All this should be blamed on the DEAF ears of those in power. Like KK put it at one time, Zambia is now ruled by frightened little men.

  27. I got two things.
    1. The govt should not stop or theaten those willing to demonstrate, its their right to express their grievances.
    2. Zambians should start realizing that the gots can never do everyting for them. its high time we stopped being lazy and talkative. we need to work hard and move things ourselves. some of these people demonstating have no jobs in lsk and want to be fed just like babies. they should go and grow the food they are willing to demonstrate for.

  28. #69 Toko mulelanda bwino,USA was attractive for you because someone sucrifised to build that economy, the americans voted for the right pipo and helped them uphold the constitution so ordinary pipo can benefit and refugees like all of us.dont tell zambians to grow the food understand issues on the ground first.you just dont put seed in the ground.policies to support agri need to be implimanted for them to be meaningful, infrustracture imean roads dont exist pa zed, rain sean toma bridge twalipona and you think you will carry fertilizer on your head, get real just healp zambia be a beta place..get real with this lazy lazy bussiness

  29. GRZ, Listen, everyone knows what the problem is with our country. Hense people are trying by all means to express their feelings and suggestions in an open way and even solve their problems. They know from the past that GRZ is deaf and it dies not listen. The biggest problem in these poor countries is that always GRZ wants to think for the people??. And now you want to threaten the people who you pretend they voted for you. If you are confident they voted for you then leave them. They will not hurt you. Blocking them only shows your hypocricy and it is the thing that will at one time bring you down. Why dont you simpathise with the owners of the country. Are you really Zambian??????

  30. #75 imwe ba Phiri. Please put Pabwato in a box labelled ‘yesterday’ and don’t open it please. :-?:)>-**==[-x:-t~X(~X(~X(~X(=;=;=;=;|-)|-)|-)|-)

  31. Why do you want to provoke people to violence. The more they release their feeling they more confortable they become with you. Why worry, did they not just voted for you. Why the fear???. In fact you are suppose to address them, since you seem to just sitting as the people are trying at least to find solution to their problems. That is solutions are found everywhere. It is only that clever goverments always provide space for people to air views and release all the information so that people can read and understand. For example why not explain why we have a shortfall of maize when we had a bamper havest. simple stuff. Is this complicated to explain.

  32. How can a country that has been recording steady growth over years simply go under in a day. Dont you think as the IMF is saying you need to adjust your micro and macro policies properly so that the change in one does not negatively affect the other. Ok, sure is the economy so tied to copper that a change in the price disturbs the amount of maize grain you have in store.

  33. Mealie meal prices would go down if people like Chiluba and Sata led by example by growing food. How can Sata demonstrate about the price of mealie meal as if he has ever grown even a tomato? That is cheap politics as he does not understand the true production costs of the staple food. Chiluba and Sata should stop talking about prices because these two are the worst parasites Zambia has ever known. HH is quiet because he produces food, LPM was a great farmer, what is Sata talking about? Let him go and demonstrate about the prices of his famous chamba? I am sure he will have a following. Arrest him and beat up publicly!!

  34. # 88 and 89 what is democracy? Dnt behave like MPS who transfer civil servants when they suspect that they support the opposition.

  35. #83 I have got your IP address. I think I will bring you some sweets. May be you will get your head out of your a*s*s and start thinking like a human being. You were living in Kanyama back home, you come to the UK to live a terraced house. That is the trouble.

    Ho Ho Ho!

  36. #83 I have got your IP address. I think I will bring you some sweets. May be you will get your head out of your a*s*s and start thinking like a human being. You were living in Kanyama back home, you come to the UK to live in a terraced house. That is the trouble.

    Ho Ho Ho!

  37. # 94 do not even bother he is still in kanyama and using the Zain USB like the one am using.Am sure he will soon run out of air time,

  38. Sony Ericsson Phiri

Why is Nyama Soya and his boot lickers scared of demos? I am afraid we are heading backwards here.

Do not be SURPRISED if the next elections chula is the other presidential candidate. Ho Ho Ho!

  39. #98 sorry, I thought everyone in the ‘Pabwato’ drowned in October. This is December. Maybe you need some help. Counselling would do. :-?:-b:-? Welcome Father Xmas!

  40. Father Xmas they are scared of demos because they may have to wake up and stop being useless… it’s an annoying distraction for them. Soon we may have speeches about flies sitting on the horn of a rhino…

  41. I gave Chula a few votes but blimey! His votes were never announced! He lot all the times! lol!

    UNIP oyeeee!
    Ho Ho Ho.
    NO! I am sad now.

I am going to watch the Arsenal when I know there are Zambians who have not even had a meal today. It really is saddening.

  42. # 102 it works but not very well am changing to MTN am told is faster. 1 MB am not sure but i guess 1 minute. I have been browsing for 1 hr 10 min i have consumed 10.9 MB

  43. #105 Cutey

I do not engage in personal fights with MMD cadres. Sorry! Enjoy your weekend.

They are many and all over the world. They are daft and have their heads burried in their a*s*s*e*s! They are very thick and uncaring people.

Only yesterday we were reading about those innocent lives which were lost at UTH because a simple generator is not available at UTH.

Now jog on you cretin. Come back when FTJ stops going to SA to have his CD4 count checked. Tool!
    Ho Ho Ho.

  44. The boat capsized but we had life jackets and we where rescued by the American warship right now we are just docking at Durban port in readiness for 2011

  45. #117 lol!

Hope these MMD cadres know that Father Christmas has boat a very nice printer. So no need to go to SA for ballot papers. Ho Ho Ho!

  46. #120 Yeah right! That is all you can say. You president and his ministers have got generators at home. UTH doesn`t have one. What a country!

    Ho Ho Ho!

Atleast I am still able to give sweets!

  47. You hate politics when you were rejoicing that the boat sank! What a plum you are! Not ready to justify the death of premature babies. May be you are a real African.

The type that thinks if all is well with me then there is nothing wrong.

The type that sees nothing wrong in driving a posh car when children next door are going without food.

The type that thinks the goevernment is not responsible to look after its` people. Wum

Ho Ho Ho! I am gone now.

  48. Hey Father Christmas, drop us some sweets as you pass by. Nipabwato chabe. Viva the life jackect.

    Pabwatoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  49. Ha ha ha!!! funny how sata gives these guys in goverment a run for their money. Very silly. they seem not to know how to handle him at all times. Their only hope is threats.:((:-?

  50. #129 what do you say when those whites ask you:

“Why did you leave your country to come this far where you have no relatives?”

What do you say when they say “God you are strong, I wouldn`t leave my country to live in a foreign country?”

Have a good weekend you MMD cadre. Enjoy yourself. But remember for every drink you take, you could buy a pamela for your relative in Chilenje.

  51. # 132, luckily, non of the ‘whites’ have asked me that question, so I have no answer for that.I don’t drink either and has no relatives in Chilenje, has never voted for any political party in my life time. [-([-([-(

  52. bana “kantu,” nabana babo balimuchifungo pakulolela ukubabwekesha mo kumyabo ku Zed, lelo ili lyachiba lyashi pa front page ya newspepa kuno kumangalande.. Pokeleleni abantu abo baleisa **==

  53. In a democracy people are free to demonstrate and put out their point of view.Only dictators threaten when people express their rights.

  54. The economic meltdown that has come to Zambia is a direct result of the MMD salaula policies of symphonizing profits from Zambia be it from copper or oil. MMD government has no capacity to handle this melt down for the simple reason that they have no tools to use to contain the problem. All companies were sold, all profits siphoned from Zambia, the treasury is empty because the so called investors were not paying taxes because of the tax holidays MMD gave them. The situation is going to get worse , at which time MMD government will be made to account for their corruption and rigging of elections by the people of Zambia.

  55. #133 You are a liar. Like Father Christmas was saying, you are a typical African. Do not pretend.

    Your English is appaling!

“I don’t drink either and has no relatives in Chilenje, has never voted for any political party in my life time”.

Any chance you are relative of a an MMD official?

  56. one day mukamba ati ‘Zambians don’t know their rights’ next day ati we will NOT ALLOW. can one well give bitter and sweet water?? musa zi shinga ma westerners butter monga u promote rights, freedom of speech, why should u arrest people unless demonstrations turn violent imwe u shall be the first ku hague once ur tyrany is over!

  57. That’s very sad indeed to supress human & civic rights. This govt needs to be reported for violating human & civic rights, what they need to be against is violent demos but as for peaceful demos they should allow them. Zambians wake up our rights are being suppressed in our very own eyes.In terms of dialogue, this govt is not in office for other opposition parties to offer advice to them, they are in office to perform if they have no agenda and can’t perform let them step down and let other competent people serve our nation.Zambian citizens are suffering & hurting.Zambian people are tired of workshops & speeches they want action and performance. We need to pray for our rights to be respected.

  58. Cutey.
When was the last time you were in Zambia? People are really suffering. Mwaiche people are going without meals, Some even don’t know where the money is giong to come from to pay rent. phone home and find out, I hear its bad. We need change and a party that has got the interests of the people first.

    Pabwatoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  59. # 145, FYI, I just arrived from Zedi a week today and you can not start lecturing me about life in Zedi. I have the latest updates so far. :d/:)>-:)>-[-x

  60. Cutey.
I rest my case. You know better which side of the bread is buttered. Lets have laugh since you are scared of politics.

  61. #146.
I just read that. Worse the comments on the article. But the mother should have told the lovely kids what was happenning. I feel sorry for her. I wish I could do something to help her. Poor woman, how is she is going to start from with the situation in Zambia. I will include her in my prayers.

  62. Time for New Leaders we have tried the old Politicians and they have led us nowhere. The Road to No Where RB,Sata,HH. It is time For Change 2011, elect New leaders from President to Parliament

  63. I have just been called coz the blog lacks my comment. I have been sweating the whole day looking for ka pamela. Well ni demofye.

  64. when the government dont listen to its people, they have the way of let it listen to their issues that matters to them and by doing that, its by peaceful demonstration and if that is the case then we are not in democrancy gov its dic. Every person has the right of freedom of speach. Rupia and your people dont sit on peoples right. RB and them they are the one who surpose to be proscuited for miss govern our country. LET THEM DEMOSTRATE :((:((:d/

  65. Our govt rests in public oppion – whoever can change public oppion can change govt-Abraham Lincoln

  66. Our leaders are very dull. Just let the people demonstrate, you can not decide for people when to demonstrate and when not. It is their right. There is no violation in having peaceful demonstration, whether the course is just or not. Zambia is a democratic country. Bushe mukomfwa lisa mwebantu imwe

  67. #160, MMD Cadres have party cards. I don’t know the colour of the card. Besides that, am not interested. I just hate political noise…I asked #152 Sarah Jones, and not you.. I will know about it one way or the other.. [-(:)>-:)>-:)>-:)>-

  68. Cutey.

I have tried to paste and copy the web page but LT won’t allow it.
Try this “the argus co uk news. hove teenagers face christmas deportation camp”

  69. A pair of teenagers face spending Christmas in a deportation camp after being seized from the home in Hove where they grew up.

Harvey Sisya, 15, and his sister Kandazi, 13, known as Kandy, were being held at a centre at Heathrow Airport yesterday along with their mother Gift.

The Zambian family have lived in Hove since 2001 but have now had deportation notices served against them by the UK Border Agency.

What is the is the Zambian mission in london doing? nothing. More interested in getting passport renewal money I guess!!

  70. conti.. I want to advise my fellow Zambian community in the UK who are panicking/being forced to renew their passports that, as long as their current passports are valid, they have the right to renew their passports when they visit Zambia in the near future. What you should be aware of is that, they cannot travel back to the UK on an “expired” passport but of cause you will have all the time in Zambia to renew your passports. So please, do not panic because you are Zambians.

  71. When our fore fathers fought for freedom they were beaten and some lost their lives because they wanted the freedom ofspeech, expression and self rule. Today we are going back to those old days where dictatorship rule of law is becoming the talk of the day. Armstrong sung you can beat my body but not my mouth/ voice to tell the truth. When the unpopular govt resort for terrorising its citizens through dictatorship type of rule it only had fire on its own. People once they get feed up the police and the army will not beat them defeat them. A listening govt will allow its citizen to air their views and this is were the rule of law is uphold and enhance democratic values. whoever uses a knife

  72. will die from the same weapon. RB should not use excessive to control his people but work within the rule of law and the police their job is to maintain security and harmony but if they resort to beating their fellow zeds who are suffering like them what a shall of waste of time.

  73. On the issue of renewing passports, why are we renewing them? What is the reason behind it. If it is something beneficial then that’s good if not we need to challenge it because the Zambia Govt is known always for forcing it’s citizens to change every often to new licenses, passports etc. I hope it’s not somebody taking advantage of deals for printing and supplying the passports. can somebody answer why we are changing to new passports. If at all it is necessary why don’t people still use and travel with their old passports until they expire. Someone please answer this question, why are we changing passports?

  74. THE LEADERSHIP IN ZAMBIA HAS GONE TO DOGS. OR IS IT DOGS WHICH HAVE GONE TO LEADERSHIP? HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A DOG FEARING ITS OWN SHADOW? I HAVE SEEN MORE THAN ONE.

  75. This corrupt MMD govt is skull of dictatorship. What we are witnessing is the fear amounting to panic by this unpopular and black skull of dictatorship govt. RB donot even feel you are untouchable just after three yrs you will be like Chiluba so what may. Villagers you are part of this problems you are facing by electing this sleeping Banda. No contigent plans. It is still stone age politics.

  76. #175 I have talked about that. Get an American one. That is the only answer. There was an i*d*i*o*t on here with a foreign flag trying to justify the nonsene. He was saying it is a way of keeping up to the standards of the western world. My passport sill has 2 more years to go. I wont chsnge it. I will be getting a British one. Period!

  77. There is a document which governs the nation and that document is
called the Zambian Constitution. I call upon Lawyer or any other concern citizen to help understand or interprete what the Constitution Says about demonstration.Do those planning the demonstration not acting within the confinement of the Law?.

  78. if changing the passports and driver licenses every so often is a way of keeping up with the west, how often are those countries changing theirs and how often are the other countries in the world changing their documents. I hope and pray it’s not some people trying to loot public resources by entering into deals for printing and supplying these documents. Zambians let’s investigate this one out ,demand accountability and exercise our rights. God bless Zambia.

  79. #75, it is not only changing passports, you pay a fee of 300,000 kwacha as well and wait for some time. Now, when your passport is out, I think you still hav eto bribe some people and that can come to about a million if you are not careful. Why is this thing so expensive in a poor country???

  80. Kenya’s President Mwai Kibaki has been forced to end his independence day speech after a crowd heckled him when a protester was arrested. The man was dragged away from the stands of Nairobi’s Nyayo Stadium by security agents after trying to hand the president a protest note. Police say more than 20 other people were arrested over the protests. They were angry at the refusal of MPs to pay tax and a new media bill, which critics say will gag the press.
Protestors including civil rights activists and journalists, wore black T-shirts with slogans printed on them.

  81. These knew passport my friends are the most expensive in the region if not the whole world. With wrong people up there, Zambia is going to be ripped off. Surely, why are the knew passports so expensive and yet you are using the same machines as other countries which are then chaging 50,000 kwacha equivalent??. The other time I was really shocked that, I had to pay 40,000 kwacha from Lusaka to Kabwe, the same fare pay to go to Ndola. Imwe this things is wired. The most law less country in my opinion.

  82. contd,Thousands of people who attended Kenya’s 45th Independence Day celebrations shouted in protest against rising food prices.
Police spokesman Eric Kiraithe said the activists were arrested for
trying to disrupt a national day.TV stations have been campaigning against the media bill .Human rights activist Philo Ikonya told the BBC that the protest was to show the country’s leaders that Kenyans have had enough. “Every day something is happening that is just showing insensitivity on the part of the leaders so there is general discontent,” she said.A section of the crowd carried red cards and lifted them up when President Kibaki started speaking, she said. source BBC News.

  83. #58 you exercised my lungs.thanx for your joke i was so tense about the topic but now am relaxed. Government should know that what is happening affects every one and not just pf members. it is a national crisis.we will be excercising our democratic right, freedom of expression over a number of issues.Threats are just going to worsen the situation.locking up anyone is what is going to bring chaos.a hungry man is an angry man so watch what you say.

  84. Bane dont play around with Government. Bakalelesa ninshi balesa. The paramilitary mobile unit from Kamfinsa in kitwe has been put on alert to stop the demostrators. They have been permitted to use resonable physical force.
I can assure you that they will slap and kick any sly ideas out of the demostrators. Dont say i didnt warn you maka maka wamene iwe chi Sony Ericcson 2-band radio.

  85. The demonstrators should be kicked hard pantu tabomfwa. This is no longer days of call boys carrying the show, mwanfwa. Its like its been a long time since tear gases were spread in your face.

  86. ITs time that zambians arise coz these politicians never get it!we should have a peacegul demo just to prove a point!why shoul they prosecute people who are expressing their freedom of speech! these guys ba yamba ama jokes

  87. Reading most of these blogs, I now understand why Zambia ended up with a man like Chiluba as president. Most of you people will never learn. You think by being a clerical boy in boots or macdonald where most of you work, that is success. Too bad for the uninformed. Deceive yourselves and you will be blogging for life in foreign countries. Some of us learnt it all from KK’s good education policies and we can sit and watch you shout Pabwatoo till your voices can no longer nbe heard.

  88. If they dare use physical violence on Zambians they will be taken to the hague. They should dare to frustrate the zambian’s rights and they will get the fury of the international community. There is freedom of expression in this world and zambian’s are free. In fact Zambians try visiting the foreign embassy’s in Zambia and find out from the foreign ambassadors whether it is not within our rights to express ourselves. Invite foreign media on the day like of demonstrations like BBC etc so that they see how freedom of expression, civic and human rights are abused and suppressed in Zambia. The old days of suppression are over.

  89. #89 tawakwata amano. u reason just like sata. what do u use to think? Cant you see that #83 is full of truth? Use your head and not your fist or groin to think.

  90. Ci #94, waba icimutwe ubukulu kwati ni rupiah banda. How can you be thinking so low like # 89. Please leave #83 alone. Ok tell us if Chiluba or indd sata as ever grown a tomato
