  1. OK will just comment on two pictures. Chishimba’s girlfriend in picture 9 does is not as hot as she looked last time. Looks oldish here. Picture 13: Is it me or what? I think the first lady has low confidence written all over her face. Like a primary school kid who has been take to work by his daddy on a take your daughter to work day.

Oh I didn’t know we had an all white swimming team. That will be an issue here in SA. But Zambia is a great country, so anything goes.

  2. #16
Bias and all type of “isms” are contant evils that man should constantly fight…being color blind can be very difficult. In UK, most people are now color blind, they look at the content of the character, not what color, region,tribe…..all these can be quite …….. you could be dissing a savoiur!

  3. Is that Chishimba’s Angela imwe? :o:o:o:o

    Some one tell me please!!

Baby C Answer quick!! Is that the lady?

No Comment until someone answers me!! I am freaking out :o:o:o:o

    I need answers!!

Chishimba I hope for you that it is not her!!! :d

  4. Baby C i can read yo mind on pic #1,ukulu fye 1st and the sandal.25pin mu kamwala 1st Lady? [-([-([-([-(Nikisi am cant possible, the Ethiopian 1st Lady is the one even tho shes covered the beauty is showing.

  5. Give credit where it is due people please. Thandiwe looks so much better in these pics than the previous ones. Over her self confidence, it is expected of her to be like that because of her educational background and exposure. With time she will catch up.

  6. #24, try being Labour or Lib Dems or Tories Leader in your black skin and you will find out what the UK is like..Good luck. I would believe the US, not crap from UK. That is a place entrenched with institutional racism..and that is the worst my friend

  7. VIVA FIRST LADY!!!!! ZAMBIA HAS NEVER LOOKED SO YOUNG ABROAD!!! VIVA FIRST LADY <:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p

  8. #33 Shes got a certificate in primary school teaching but after leaving state house she wil be Dr T Banda :)):)):)):))<:-p<:-p

  9. #31
It may not really be as you think….things have changed here a lot. we now have a first blackwoman as Judge..could be better than you think bro…
And one thing…black people have never really believed in themselves alot…because of segregation, but things have now changed alot…and with Obama, the change is exponential in UK as well. trust me!

  10. YEAH!!! QUEEN THANDIE!!!

LET US KEEP HER AS OUR FIRST LADY FOR THE NEXT 20 YEARS!!

IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO NEXT PRESIDENT WILL BE ; LET US KEEP HER AS OUR FIRST LADY!!!

TALENT SHOWS SHOULD ALSO BE INTRODUCED IN ZAMBIA TO CHOSE A FIRST LADY!!!

THANDIWE IS ON THE THRON FOR THE NEXT 20 YEARS AND THEN A TALENT SHOW SHOULD BE HELD TO CHOSE THE NEXT FIRST LADY!!

FIRST LADY SHOULD BE AN INSTITUTION OF IST OWN!!!

ZEDIANS GIVE ME SOME NOIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSEEEEEEE!!! :(|):(|):(|):(|):(|):(|):(|)=d>=d>=d>=d>=d>=d>=d>=d>

  11. Alaa!
Most of you men here dissing 1st lady just need 2 pints of alcohol…you will start negotiating. Tiye ukoooo!!!

  12. Those whites really look great in our national colours. Get me right, I’m not being racial, but just wondering why there’re no black or albino swimmers.

I think Thandie needs someone to jump start her confidence. It’s not all about education, look at Vera, she was booming with so much confidence everywhere she went despite her level of education & background. We need a Mactribouy type to do the work.

  13. With time, Tandie will have the confidence. Especially if she goes back to school. The only problem is her husband wont be president for too long. 2011 is around the corner. She actually looks much, much better than in the previous pics

  14. My best picture is the one with the Zambian Swimers presenting there medals to Minister of Sport and Child Development. Medals, Congrats keep it up. To our first Lady, best wishes.

  15. 1st lady, dress ija bana washer na boom detergent zoona??

  21. I think the first lady has improved tremendously, It is always important to give credit where it is due.I belive that with time she will gain momentum and she get there that most of you will wish you met her before Sugar Daddy. 😕

  22. Zoe, Zoe, Zoe, ZoeZoe, Zoe, Zoe, Zoe

    Mwana you are crazy.

How many times have i called you .

    Do you like RB?

  23. #92 28 times mama. By the way Ba Honey mwachindisha fire in the morning wen i asked for yo email adres n wether u r a she or he. Nomba thats history.
Awe nangu niba connection RB kuti abafye :o:o:o:o:o

  24. Ba Honey surely wat is there 2appreciate on pic #1? The lace and the toes on the right foot that have gone in the opposite direction? Pliz mama we appreciate where it is due. On this nakana sana [-([-([-(Nikisi am cant possible. Do u see Dr Maureen Mwanawasa? Ulya ena ni|-)|-)|-)|-)silent. Thandie ena=))=))=))=))=))

  25. Good afternon Everybody!
The first lady really looks good but lacks confidence.Imagine if RB’s late wife Hope Mwansa Makulu was still alive? She was more than confident to say the least.

Please i have a question to My bro 3RqU,sis baby C, mulamu and the rest of the bloggers in UK if by chance you know whwere INFECTECTED MEAT is? we used to graft very well. Is he still around?
    i reallly miss him.

  26. chibwabwa 😮 , i think LT should do somthing abt ID pics so we see how some of u look ,and wat you have on ur heads .

  27. chibwabwa 😮 , i think LT should do somthing abt ID pics so we see how some of u look ,and wat you have on ur heads .

  28. thandiwe, thaniwe, thaniwe washupa awe ubusuma bobe bwatuletelela. look all these fellow bloggers are talking about you.

  29. #75(case khisho),i mean sunamuone Phelps watu taking the medal to the minister? by the way, how has been friday?

  30. Baby C, 3RqU get to the point. Is it something to do with her complexion? The dressing is fine with me, though I think the national dress is appropriate at such functions.

  31. 3RqU and Nine Chale, what dressing is fine? Pliz u guys ok complexion is beta not dressing that lace na Mama Kankasa alifwalamo.

  32. I think Thandie looks just as cute as Cinderella in that dress.:)>-

And I also think she also shares other things in common with Cinderella:

    1. They both rose from ashes to riches.

    2. They both faced negative feelings (jealousy?)

Don’t stone me please….I’m just thinking aloud.
    :d

  33. Firstly let someone build Thandi’s image, just like they did with RB. Definately she needs to boost her confidence.

2nd Pic – There are no planes on the great east road. Oooops! Maybe in the dreams of LT. This is at the airport not along great east road. Anyways, great Pic.

Angela Cifire has never been beautiful. Look at her when near you will be amazed that the lady stands on two sticks and not a woman’s legs. Not being sacarstic but just my observation. But surely she can do better with her hair style.

  34. My first Lady looks wonderful :d

I am not being paid to say that [-x[-x[-x[-x[-x

RB and Thandie, hope you still have my Account!! Just in case you want to show a brother some Love :)>-

  35. The man in pic 10 must be loving all the young girls. Damn his so lucky………………. am sure he has different ones every night

  37. 133. Luapula Fish

There is nothing live fashion deficit here [-x[-x[-x

LT should just invest in new photo Cams with 100000000000000000 Pixels :-j:-j:-j:-j:-j:-j:-j

You are all missing the point!!

My Camera would make that lady shine!! :d

  38. Under 20 Swimmers have 95% abana ba basungu only, GRZ schools now have no swimming pools like we used to in the 70% let alone no Council owns a public swimming pool in Zambia now. In Livingstone the former Provincial Minister conned the council by having a 25yrs lease but turned the only public pool into a cement depot and truck stop for her satanic business son. I wonder what the Minister of Sports, Youth & Child Development do? Anyway those swimmers look colour and congrats for the medals.

  39. Police: Ist lady, you are under arest
    Ist Lady: Why?
Police: Ist lady, you have brkoen the law
Ist Lady: What do you mean, what have i done wrong.
Police:You are not allowed to dress like a 70 yr old woman pose like that,
Ist Lady: But officert, do you know who i am?
Police:You look so old in that Pink lace.
Ist Lady:Officer, this is cool in chipata province.
Police: You must change now and promise not to dress like that.
Ist Lady: Ok Bwana, honey i need money to go shopping with Zoe and Baby C.

  40. BRUDER L you made me laugh! “Show a brother some Love!”:d

But honestly, I see nothing wrong with Thandie’s physical appearance on today’s pictures. I don’t like compliments, I would rather tell the truth;)

  41. I wil never 4get LT,even if it were shut down 2day i wud stil remember all of u except pests i wont mention.NEXT TOPIC?????????

  42. 139. Spring Chicken

I hope they did not carry him to his car after dinner!

Looks like he is asking that lady to dance with him!!!

She looks stronger than him!! Look at that Arm!! Mudala we go kutunshimbi for years to get a arm like that :o:o:o:o:o:o

  43. Thandi has the potential to look fabulous but I dont fancy that material she wearing .As for Angela she requires a complete overhaul to improve her appearance

  44. #145 Fashion Police,

How do you arrest a brother who steps out in Fubu Jeans, Timbalands, Platinum Rolex & Prada Sweatshirts? Not to mention the Gucci scent which announces my presence a hundred miles before I appear…:d

    158. Luapula Fish
I need to see if they are the real deal, not fake ones

  52. Looking at the photos again, I see a couple of interesting things:

Is the Mercedes too high or our president too short? With my knee on that level, my foot is normally already touching the ground.

Probably an illusion, but it looks as if Juma broke his own left foot while trying to bring down Red Arrows’ Chiwanki.

And more interestingly, it’s the first multiracial Zambian team I’ve seen ever since I left Zed. That photo just shows me how long I’ve been away from home & how things have changed.

  53. Rachid Jones

  61. People please stop attacking our first lady, there was no application for her to be first lady. she find s herself in that position due to her marriage and we should just support her and know that looking down on our fist lady will not take us anywhere. Who among you can say that all their relatives are highly educated? Lets desist from pulling each other down. Let’s ,ake this blog progressive and not simply a chatting place.

  83. In the picture Thandiwe is trying to be young at the same time mature. The compromise made her look like she had “babalazi”. She must be allowed to date young ones then she will be balanced.

Good Idea!! Anyways I am busy until 20hrs and then <:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p<:-p Weizen beer is a must!!! :d

  88. Thandiwe looks very unconfortable. I guess she’s not as educated and confident as Maureen Mwanawasa. Her age also does not help.

  89. Those of you wondering were the black zambian swimmers are go to the under 20 beer drinking contest you ll find plenty of them there. This is one sport we guard jealously in Zed.

  90. @258
The issue of black swimmers has been a source of debates for a long time. Even in the States, there are few black swimmers at Michael Phelps level. Others have attributed lack of swimming skills in blacks as genetical. At one time there a Professor did carry out a research to ascertain why they are very few black in this sport despite huge successes in splinting. Studies seem to be inclusive, but in Luapula there are so many small boys who are gurus at swimming ,I don’t know why they don’t make it at a higher level. May be Luapula fish can answer for us.

  91. LT should be reporting correctly! Do we have an AIRPORT very very close to GREAT EAST ROAD? The guy carry “CHIBWABWA” on a bicycle is approximately 100-200 metres away from a PLANE! Is that surely GREAT EAST ROAD or Lusaka International Airport?

    Anyway, great pictures!

  92. But despite the success of swimmers like Muhammad, 2004 silver medalist Maritza
Correia and 2000 gold medalist Anthony Irvin, no African American athlete has become a national face for minorities in swimming. And until that happens, the swimming pool remains the final frontier for minority athletes.

The lack of minority participation in competitive swimming is not the only problem, or even the most serious one. Lack of exposure to swimming leads to drowning rates that are three times higher for minority children than for whites. It’s a trend Muhammad can’t ignore.

“Swimming gets this reputation as kind of being the country club sport,” Muhammad says. “It’s a crucial life skill, though.

  95. #259 its all about interest period. How many blacks are playing tennis, golf, swimming at professional level very few why it has nothing to do with racism or whatever politics u think of its simply interest.Zambian parents dont even encourage their children to partcipate in sport.Venus,Tiger,Serena and Lewis etc would not have made it in their respective fields if they believed that certain sport disciplines are not for blacks.

  96. off topic

  97. I like the second photograph as it shows how our serious people (the peasant farmers) are suffering. But, beleive you me, that man feeds you and I. I wished Sata could work with such people and help them produce more. Now these PF cadres he buys beer, they commit crimes after drinking his opaque beer and offend people with the Pabwatoo noise. RB help that young man please!!

  104. Ever wondered wehy the USA basketball team is mostly black? Ever wondered why top sprinters in the world are black? So stop asking why the Zambian swimming team is mostly white….There should never be any AFFIRMATIVE ACTION in sport. If black Zambians are not good in swimming so be it. If the national cricket team is made of Asian Zambians so be it. It is either you are good or your not. There is nothing to mourn about!

  105. Hey Gigolo,Nkosi, Ba Honey, Cutey/Wifey( woman of valour) and others feel free to exhaust this topic on this forumn

Iam still concerned about Thandie today, those legs.. if they were in full fledged shoes with some nice silky tights??? could have been better….Not ifyi iyooo. :o:o

  108. Does the First Lady have a Personal Shopper or Fashion Consultant? I would propose that Maureen Mwanawasa be her Fashion Consultant briefly. Ba Maureen knew how to dress. Not hating on ba First Lady……

  109. Ba Dr Maureen & Virtous Cutey/Wifey

Am a regular and ardent contributer here, just thought Zambians are passionate and committed to the motherland that’s when ‘WE’ thought of this little idea,

some of the ideas typed here in the form of jokes are very progressive, not that people should migrate but they can meet at a place deliberate more on some of these ideas,

after all the maximum a story stays here as a headline is approx 3 days max, after that both the story and comments disappear, you have to dig up for it to read the comments.

Hence the necessity for the other site.

May Yahweh’s favour precede your paths

  110. #294,

How do you measure and judge one to be virtous??

    Just brainstorming in here.

Sorry that others are fast asleep when its 10.00AM in the morning for me… :-?:-?

  111. Thandi looks improved, especially in the first picture. I think she is trying to look the part. We should give credit where it is due. Does anyone know what her educational background is like?

Nomba, now, leteniko ilyashi na ma pitures ya DUAL CITIZENSHIP. By chance on UKZAMBIANS, I Listened to LET THE PIPO TALK programme which was done by Frank Mutubila – Nov. I was left in no doubt that Zambeziland ought tap on the human and financial resources of her people who are earning abroad. Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, India are good examples.
    DUAL CITIZENSHIP:((DUAL CITIZENSHIP=d>DUAL CITIZENSHIP^:)^[-o<

  116. LET THE PHOTOGRAPHER GOSSIP TO ME WHAT THE FIRST LADY LOOKED AT AS SHE POSSED FOR THE PHOTO. IF WERE ONLY KA POZE THEN TELL HER IT’S OUTDATED.

  117. The best photo bane is the guy on a bike nachibwabwa pa carrier. It really exemplfies our poverty and development levels. Take it or leave, 70% of Zambians live on less than a dollar per day. The truth pains but that’s the real Zambia for us.

  118. S T, If that road is the one going to chisamba it should not be then”GREAT EAST ROAD- Pardon me, i just hate misinformation.
This brings to point some of the comments on this site that are degenarating into jokes and comedy, i wonder if that was the intended goal of Lusaka Times.Zambians, we are never ever serious with issues. It would be worthwhile to discuss matters that are worth discussing. I personaly feel it is a height of folly to tell us about a chibwabwa biker who lives on less than a dollar a day. Many people will agree this does not help anybody, not even the writer.the question that comes to mind is, who are we trying to inform?we all know the poverty levels in Zambia.BE serious!

  119. George ‘Treason’ Duiker
    Ronnie Mpuno
    Angela Chif…Bilomo
    Veep Red Lip
    Sata Naleka Dobo
    Pule ‘Yapa Dress’ Pule

    Brian ‘asobesa unga’ Chituwo
    Mike ‘kabwatabwata’
    Bert Namulambe ‘Witchcraft’

  120. #312. Diversity!

Do not be surprised when you see my son Musonda Musonda representing England at the world cup finals in 8 years time. The world has moved on.

How about a certain Obama in White House! Grow up.

  121. **==**==
Hey LT publish my comments why honestly why? Be transparent okey.

The farmer was not on Great East road but Airport Road near Kasisi turn-off comining from the nearby farms.

Thandiwe has a certificate in edu, diploma in edu. from Chalimbana, and a degree in Education from AIBT Australian versity. this is 4 the info of those ignorant about her ed. b/ground. especially connie, casey khisho and KaZoe. talk about what you know

  122. **==**==

Some of you guys just have a certificates in Zambia Registered Nursing. Let us contribute reasonably.

    Picture 10
    Where are our children? SAD

  123. The Way I understand the DUAL Citizenship issue being illegal in Zambia is that it was designed during Kaunda’s time to check against both economic and political sabotage mainly by Zambians of Asian origin (royal to UK and India) and Boers (royal to Rhodesia’s Ian Smith and South Africa’s Verwoed Vorster). Then along the way Zaireans, Somalians and Senegalese joined in the band wagon mainly for illicit trade and emigration to Canada, USA, Europe and UK. Ofcourse KK wanted to also catch a few Zambians who were against his socialist policies. Ofcourse almost all these issues are now moriband. Chiluba was a bit apprehensive and I believe with his arrogance he could have changed the Law. :d//:):o

  124. Thandiwe’s qualifications;
Well, well, well! It is the culture of the Zambians in Political circles to hide their qualifications! I have Sata in mind! This leaves room for speculation and guess work. But I like Rupiah’s qualifications although he has not used them much and so according to Neuropsychology, the chances are that the education has turned stale. 8-|/:)

  125. Nice pictures..I was also wondering about the chibwabwa at the airstripe, i dont think thats great east road, more like the old airpot near kalingalinga/kabulonga area

  126. Ha Our first lady really look superb Manje bantu boza ati she was born in 1981 ha imwe why do you like jokes she was born in 1976 why muliso ha you just agree with whatever printed things you browse through or hear….
