  1. Looking at the guys waiting (19) and the VIPs seated comfortably, i am sad that abusing people goes on in Zambia 45 years after we unshackled ourselves. When will we have a classless society where everyone counts as a human being without this ‘bwana complex?’ The politicians and chiefs are sat comfortably, sheltered from the sun while the common man sweats and toils to entertain them. They patronise the people with a few bank notes. Ata se!

  2. Bleach your face, bleach your face.
Bleach your face till you become a “white faced” black!
Why do Zambian women do it? why?
    LOL!

  3. At last i ve seen Thandi smile! Hope shes genuinly learning to be comfortable in her own skin. Also a bit of a change in hairstyle! Looks like shes been doing a bit of listening to advisors! Also seeing Chief Chitimukulu for the first time!!

  4. Pic #8, alipya cadre wakantu kuli Ambi.Pic #25, RB has got a weakness with women, look at the way he was looking at Mrs Kikwete, lustfully.

  5. Picture 8, wachita over na bleaching. Pic #17 You can see that indeed Thandi is a girl child, I like picture #21 and finally Mrs Kikwete looks pretty.

  6. Pic 16 dont underestimate the 4 guys, twali sungapo ubuloshi

Pic17 The minister looks more 1st lady than the actual 1st lady buti nkasako ana smiller TB

  7. #4 yo observation is so spot on.
you’d actually find that the guys were not even paid a penny! really sad!

  8. Pic # 6 – I wonder if Levy would have embraced chi Mugabe like that. Pic #8 – Looks like she got the worst of using Jic bawishi. She reminds me of the nightwalkers (also known as abantantama) we find on addis ababa or ku cockpit.RB should compensate her! Pic #16 the guys look uncomfortable as if they feel n.a.k.e.d!

  9. I think RB should also instruct police to arrest the one who took picture 16 and LT editor for publishing this picture as it may corrupt morals.

  12. #6 black women who do that have nothing to show apart from their bleached faces, nothing much in their brains. But one thing they know is that they are equally such men who just look at the complection of their face and not the intelligence or good character of them. If you know what I mean?

  13. pic#6 Thandi please what kind of fashion is that. Why wear your husbands jacket on a chitenge outfit. Thats a no no. Pic# 14,15 HH is Tonga indeed. Akaso. RB just throws the cash without counting in front of people. Pic#17, Thandi looks good when smiling!

  14. Pic. # 22. with a woman blest feeding may be a centre of confusion if the MMD senior officials see it, I think, following the police and court case for Mrs C. Kabwela — POST news editor — on circulating obscene material on the Internet and/or elsewhere against the Penal Code of Zambia.

I hope NGOCC and women for Change will not outburst over this picture that has been made public. Anyway, let us wait and see.

  21. Pic#1,2 – I wonder if that helicopter could touch down belly up

Pic#8 – The woman’s face is not bleached, she has vitiligo, lol

Pic#16 – Royal family we appreciate your traditional regalia but I wouldn’t like to see you standing up!

Pic#17 – Thandie looks at home at the Lwiindi, she belongs

Pic#22- Is that woman’s breastfeeding pornographic?

  22. #8 LT have made my day. I cant stop laughing, yes that woman indeed has a bleached face and after the ceremony she might end up at the clinic and the sun would have done justice to the bleached. Why are we not proud to be black and beautiful???

  23. Does it mean that giving a few bank notes as handouts is now a culture in Zambia? How about those others who attended but never had the luck of getting some bank notes from the stealing father christmases who attended. I think peole should learn to do things honestly. These people should learn to help people help themselves. What a morally bankrupt lot!!

  24. The pictures are interesting although the number of dignitaries was to much and unneccessary. Pic Number two RB looks although he was about to jump off the helicopter. About the woman with a bleached face, thats her choice…nobody cares when white people tan their skin, so whats the big deal about bleaching ones own skin?

  25. Picture # 10 “Mukuni meets chief Mwenda Msiri of the Bayeke Kingdom in Katanga province of the Democratic Republic of Congo” The chief from DRC looks well nourished

    growing pubic hairs.

She runs to her mom and says. “Mama I have hair growing on my

Her mother tells her not to call it like that, but to call it a
    monkey.
Later that day the young girl goes up to her bigger sister and
    tells
her that she’s growing hair on her monkey.
The bigger sister replied, “That’s nothing, my monkey is already
    eating bananas”…

  28. #42, intelligentia, have you lived in Zed before. RB, HH and others are doing what actually is a norm in Zed and the world over. When you have somebody perform mostly through dance or music, you appreciate by giving a token in which case cash is prefered. Kinda when you go to a concert or a movie except you buy a ticket in advance!

  29. #30 Maestro, Greetings. I note from your post that you are also becoming a victim of the Mmembe propaganda machine. Chansa committed an offence and she even apologised for it. Every one knows that Fred Mumembe got her to distribute the distaetiful pictures and that is why his editorials have become so vitriolic. The fact is that the end does not always justify the means. But even his ends were not so honourable. It is the people of Zambia who have the mandate to elect a President. Even when we do not support such a President we should at least respect the democratic mandate of the people. Fred distributed the photos because he felt it was a means and an opportunity to raise the tension against Rupiah. That is why he sent the pictures to to Archibishop Mpundu and not to the nurses.

  30. Pic #18. I think Chief Mpezeni is clad in a jacket and a tie of colour. People from the East are well known for their emaculate dressing.

  31. I am a very humorous person but I find the joke on #47 Zazu, rather distasteful. Its the kind of joke that teenage school boys tell on the playground and hope no adult will hear them.

  32. #30 Maestro, Please note that Fred could also have sent the pictures to the leaders of the nurses union to help the negotiations and end the strike. I have checked the Post coverage of the strike and I can see where the Post is appealing to the nurses and government to sit and settle the dispute. I also feel the arrest of Chansa is a tragedy. She is just a pawn in Fred Mmembe’s war. The discourse in the POst is no longer about national issues. It is now about itself and its opinions. Any one who disagrees with the Post’s stand is a charlatan, an *****, or a traitor. Democracy is about diversity, including the diversity of opinions. It requires the respect of contrary opinions. I hope Chansa is freed for being a first offender. But there is no doubt she committed an offence under the…

  33. #54. Woman of substance. I had not seen the gag until you came. It gave me some nervous laughter.

  34. #Maestro, under the penal code. The country can not change the law just because the Post is involved. In the UK, three senior jounalists form the investigative and popular News of the World newspaper have been jailed for bugging the private communication of prominent persons. The Post as our most popular newspaper carries a great responsibility and it should undertake its duty to the nation with moderation and ethics.

  35. 50 ba-NKOLE WAMAPEMBWE UMFWE MILANDU greetings too and thanks. Following your “#30 Maestro… I note from your post that you are also becoming a victim of the Mmembe propaganda machine“, I would like to make mention that I will never support the activities of POST whatever Fred M’membe.

Indeed the “That is why he sent the pictures to to Archibishop Mpundu …” has puzzled me since the distribution of the pictures. However, sending the said pictures to nurses was going to be worse as the charge she is facing now would have been strong.

My posting in #30 higlights that public seen things may not be good to place on the Internet in form of photos as in the woman shown with private parts in Pic. #22 feeding a baby.

    Be blest.

  36. The pictures are interesting but jumbled up. LT you have not clearly differentiated the Monze and Livingstone/Mukuni ceremonies.

  37. Is this the ceremony whr people go mad having s.e.x with everyone? Read somthing like that on ukzambians….
Nice pics tho u dint have to put so much of RB, useless old man!

  38. 61 ba-NKOLE WAMAPEMBWE UMFWE MILANDU on your “#Maestro, under the penal code. The country can not change the law just because the Post is involved” I read/hear you nicely.

Anyway, what is the best action or course of action do you think the POST or Mrs C. Kabwela in her capacity as POST editor should have taken to avoid this case, in your opinion or using your experience?

My take is that the only mistake was to send it to the Archibishop as one representative of the churches. May sending it to many church leaders would have helped.

As for her charged case in terms of diffusing the said pictures, what if she is not the one who sent to other people other than the only ones seh sent it to? Don’t you think other people disseminated them?

  40. #68, Maestro, Greetings again, I have thought about the dilema the Post faced and concluded as a person who respects moderation in circumstances such as Zambia (where we don’t have a blodthirsty dictator butchering people and are not in a Somalia situation although many of you our brothers in the diaspora believe that we are worse than Somalia) that there was no reason to distribute the pictures at all. They could have written an editorial and mentioned the pictures. They could then have appealed to the parties to the dispute to take account of the consequenses of the strike and move quickly to end the strike. This could have been enough. The problem really was to attempt to use the strike to ratchet up the tension in the country. It ended in committing an offence under the penal…

  43. 73 ba-NKOLE WAMAPEMBWE UMFWE MILANDU thanks. Firsly, I believe that Zambia is safe under President RB Banda but he needs to show me his socio-development plan for Zambians. The issue of giving him time is a non-starter for he can say something better like Minister Shikapwasha’s statement in the other parallel thread that things are not well but GRZ is doing what they can — and actions follow like cutting MPs gratuity just the way some pensioners haven’t been paid their dues in a long long time.

On “They could then have appealed to the parties to the dispute to take account of the consequen[c]es of the strike and move quickly to end the strike“, what if that happened but the husband to the woman and father to baby that all died sent the pictures to BBC?

I hope Zambia is not going to follow the media r e s t r i c t i o n s that are seemingly happening in C h i n a. Information backed by proof (empirical data) in the manner POST editor Mrs Chansa Kabwela did things seems better in my personal view.

Thus, I can just image the MMD GRZ’s out-cry that would have followed had the pictures been aired by BBC or CNN. Anyhow, I have personally not seen the pictures in contention and so I can write much on this issue.

  48. ba #47 bushe mwalisuba naimwe it seems it has hate u soo mach that pips r against the bleached woman. we dont want jacksons in zed.

  49. I like the pictures but I feel that they could have shown more of the ceremony itself – beginning middle and end. You dont really get a feel of what the ceremony entails and is about from the phothos. Also, as somebody has said, aren’t there two Lwiindi ceremonies? You dont really know which is which from these photos. That said, it is great to see these photos from home for us who can not attend.

  50. Does anybody know if the music played at such ceremonies is available anywhere in Zed or online? It would be a great resource for our children living in the diaspora to learn about our Zambian culture.

  51. I hope Lupiya Banda doesn’t order the Police to charge LT for pic number 22 saying it’s pornographic or obscene. The Lupiya needs to go back to school for basic English lessons,it seems the more time you spend outside school, the more you forget so a refresher course in English will do for him and the like of Teta & Ka Mulongoti and the that clique of ugly ”villageois”.

  52. I hope the organisers will screen both ceremonies on ZNBCTV & MV so that we can see in motion pictures. What really surprises me why do these pipo hold 2 ceremonies at the same time. Why cant they switch the dates coz this is the period when ZITF takes palce in Ndola and some pipo are drawn to such events. The organising committe should revisit this event . You cant have same pipo moving between Monze & Livingstone.

  56. Thank you for every other informative website. The place else may I am getting that type of information written in such a perfect approach? I have a venture that I’m simply now operating on, and I’ve been on the glance out for such information.
