President Rupiah Banda before he left for South Africa at Lusaka international airport.
PRESIDENT Banda has reiterated his disgust against some MMD cadres who have been harassing journalists.

“Once again, I condemn any violence against journalists. I said it then, although you (media) underplayed it. I want to say it again, I am against that and I totally condemn it and whoever is perpetrating it,” he said.

Mr Banda said journalists have been doing their work and he does not like violence against them.[quote]

On the planned protest march by members of media bodies in the country to State House this Friday, President Banda said Government has written to leaders of media bodies that he has delegated the Vice-President to deal with the matter as he will still be in South Africa.
He was speaking to journalists at the Lusaka International Airport shortly before leaving for South Africa yesterday.

And Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Zambia Chapter chairperson Henry Kabwe said although media bodies had not yet received notification from Government, President Banda’s decision to delegate the Vice-President to deal with the matter is welcome.

Mr Kabwe said the President’s decision shows the importance he has attached to the cry of the media about the continued harassment of journalists.

Meanwhile President Banda commended cooperating partners for resuming funding to the Ministry of Health after realising that Government is doing its best to curb corruption in the ministry.

Mr Banda also instructed Vice-President George Kunda to follow up on reports that some health institutions in the country have run out of food so that it can be sent there as soon as possible.

Mr Banda said the Vice-President will take care of reports that St. Francis Hospital in Katete has run out of food.

“I want to take advantage of this opportunity to thank the donors for realising that we are doing our best to curb corruption in the Ministry of Health,” he said.

And the President said Patriotic Front leader Michael Sata is free to go ahead with the planned impeachment proceedings.

Mr Banda said he has always been calling for the opposition to commence impeachment proceedings and wondered why they have not started.

He was responding to a question from journalists who told him that Mr Sata had refuted reports that he had abandoned impeachment proceedings.

President Banda, who left for South Africa yesterday, was accompanied by First Lady Thandiwe.

He was seen off by the Vice-President, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services Ronnie Shikapwasha, Minister of Home Affairs Lameck Mangani and Lusaka Province Minister Charles Shawa.

Others were Secretary to the Cabinet Joshua Kanganja and other senior Government officials.

While in South Africa, President Banda is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with his counterpart Jacob Zuma in Pretoria.

The President is also expected to undergo a medical review and will return home immediately after completing the scheduled business.

  1. The president is looking old.Perhaps this globe trotting is not good for a man of his age.Can his doctors please advise instead of enjoying shopping trips. Besides according to the Post Zuma is not even expecting him – is this just a visit to the hospital?hmmm

  2. Good lord god almighty, the lord of Moses, just how could you endower one man with such an insurmountable degree of aesthetic repulse? No wonder children and investors are scared of investing in Zambia.

  3. If this is what it means to be a presido, perhaps i would also like to be one… not stressed nor under pressure at all… Buga life only!.. Sha!

  4. RB `s Health is failling him big time. The man can`t even walk properly. Let him be honest enough and tell the nation the main reason he is going to South Africa for.

  5. Amama newo! Is that how old OUR President looks? Typical of Zambians. Always visiting other people unannounced and uninvited!

  6. According to the Post news the South African president Jacob Zuma is not aware of Rupiah’s visit to that country, not even the Zambian high commissioner knows anything about it. Our president is such an embassment even in the eyes of the world. Is he normal? Instead of doing some work and attend to Zambia’s problems he is busy planning where to go next. He does not realise that unlike him other presidents are busy trying to do some work Jacb Zuma is addressing the strikes and other issues in his country, please Rupiah just go back to your farm and stop disturbing busy people.

  7. True, this chap is wedded to lies, apparently Zuma and Mbula are both not aware he is going to South Africa. I think he has more health ailments he is going to South Africa to have attended to and not meeting Zuma. Just like the lies we were told last time that he was going to give a keynote speech when he was actually going for a knee operation. The next thing you will hear is that he is admitted to Morningside ICU. Looking at his face, despite its urgliness, you can see the man is in pain, much pain! Iyo state funeral nakambi yaoneka ka! We are slowly being turned into a moaning christian nation. God knows what next.

  8. RB you just dream and work up that you are going to SA without even your SA Ambassodor nor the president knowing that you are coming. Who is advising you or who does your planning, please mwilatusebanya.

  9. Meanwhile, Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Leslie Mbula could not give a definite programme of President Banda while in South Africa and when his programme would end. Asked when President Banda was expected to meet President Zuma, High Commissioner Mbula asked, “Where is the President right now?” When told that President Banda had just left Zambia for South Africa, High Commissioner Mbula asked: “He has taken off?” Asked about President Banda’s programme while in South Africa, High Commissioner Mbula responded: “I think that I am not very sure yet. Maybe after he has come when I have seen the programme, maybe you can phone. Then we can discuss.”

  10. Reporter: Mr Mbula, what exactly is the nature of the Presidents visit there?
Mbula: Which President? What visit? Where?
Reporter: You mean you are not aware that RB has taken off to see President Zuma?
Mbula: taken off? You mean, taken off as in the sky? No! You Post reporters like creating stories. Thats why our cadres are becoming violent. Do you know that lies like that are pornographic in nature?

  11. Typical of Lusaka times bloggers always ready to take in whatever Membe says. RB met Zuma last night and the closed door meeting that lasted for slightly above 2hrs was closed at 18:30hrs.

  12. Should poor countries like Zambia have presidents like RB? Can I have a response from The Senior Citizen.

  13. #7Ba Moze zoona that’s true, just wanting to be garavanting all over when the country has pressing issues. Very true, typical of a Zambian’s attitude, visiting people uninvited and unanounced.

  14. #15 Engine, Don’t get yourself mixed up, the issue is Rupiah’s visit was not known by SA and the ambassador. If they met last night it means that President Zima was just being courteos and diplomatic because the intruder was already in the country. You must warn Banda to stop these habits because some countries might refuse to allow his plane to land on their soil uninvited.

  15. BUT THIS MAN IS UGLY, LOOK AT HIS FACE CLOSELY? MY GOD?????????????? WILL WE EVER HAVE A HANDSOME PRESIDENT LIKE OBAMA. KAUNDA WAS LIKE A BABOON, CHILUBA TOO SHORT, MWANAWASA WAS LIKE A VEGETABLE, BANDA LIKE A WITCH…..SATA DONT EVEN MENTION IT.

  16. Just from his face you can tell that banda is a creature of the underworld the CIA in lusaka must start following him we really do not know where he goes south africa is already refusing the knowledge of his vist this man will cause us great shame when he is caught breaking the law. There is a strong rumour that banda goes for sangomas in the south.I strongly urge the church to rid themselves of this contaminated man before it is too late.

  17. gentlemen and ladies the Post has been mislead on this one . just check the SA presidential website Zuma and band had the meeting yesterday.

  18. #17 maikalange, I can imagine the meeting. Banda yapping away and Zuma very annoyed, tired after a hard days work and in his pajamas ready to go to bed!! Only to be told that, “Kwaisa abeni”.

  19. Wat ever the case, president Banda is too irresponsible for a president. considering the bible facts, it is advised to check your house before you condemn others. wat advice can people get out there if his own country is in tartasss

  20. Bloggers, # 18 Come 2011 you are right, Zuma just used his courtesy and diplomacy to accommodate RB, otherwise his trip was not known in RSA. Don’t blame Mmembe and The Post. The Post does not report anyhow, they dig deeper.

  21. #18 COME 2011 says. ” If they met last night it means that President Zima was just being courteos and diplomatic because the intruder was already in the country” come on man you cant advise Rupiah Bwezani Banda the veteran diplomat on such matters, this meeting was more important to SA that has been excluded from the UN sponsored great lakes initiatives dispite SA being the economic giant in southern Africa. SA has also sponsored a lot of big deals in comflict resolutions in this region yet they are always not considered part or an interested paty to the great lakes summits.Next week zambia under RB will be hosting this meeting and SA has not been invited….Not all presidentyial affairs are for the Media my dear.

  22. Good morning
RB likes ruling the country by remote control. Instructing the Veep to handle matters while he’s permanently on the move. Zambians, I beg you, please vote this man out of office in the next elections. He has not done anything worthy of praise for Zambia (someone please correct me if I’m wrong).

  23. Iwe Engine tipase link yamene ukamba chifukwa ine sinionapo nkhani ya RB na JZ pa website ya SA President.

  24. Hi Miss Daisy, you look fresh on your new pic. How’s the weather down South? Here temps are climbing above 30°c – Biergarten time!

  25. Akulu mpuno…shame on you. How do you take off to visit a head of state wthout an appointment? This reminds me of when the late went to new york for a summit or watever it was n was turned back coz he wasnt invited. I can see a trend growing…i think ur scared to face journalists coz in actual fact ur not sorry for their harasment . How id love to know what you are reeeeeeealy doing there right now.

  26. #8,Come 2011,/#25 Maikalenge : Are you seriously basing your comments on Fred Mumembe’s report in the Post. Mumembe has a bone to chew with Rupiah Banda ever since his preferred candidate Magande lost the chance to stand. Every one knows this and there is no reason why Leslie Mbula should give him Rupiah’s itinerary. I always wander whether Zambians seriously live on Fred Mumembe’s diet. The Post does not always dig deeper. Why hasn’t it dug deeper on Kapoko whose Hummer vehicle came on the same ship with that of Fred Mmembe. If Dora had stolen K27bn how many articles and editorials would have Fred Mmembe written? THINK ABOUT IT..

  27. RB alamoneka kwati ali ni guy sana when he was young .this time alebombekafye na reconciliation .the issue of the president fying to SA with or without notice is irrelevant.we are busy with the SADCC region intergration .more movement of people ,goods and whatever to create a regional market .so the presido coming to a clinic in SA is as good as going to a clinic in kabwata ,it does not need to be announced .

  28. #18 Come 2011, It is important to know that when Presidents are acting at the highest levels, they don’t need to tell Fred Mmembe what they would discuss. You might also wish to know that Zuma is a personal friend of Rupiah. He knew him from the South African struggle when ANC was in Lusaka. Of course most bloggers on this site are just green horns knowing nothing.

  29. Koma Iyi inchito ya RB yama Busy. When is the man ever going to be in the office. This its justifiable going for medical review on the knee which was operated on. How come some sections of the media are saying that there is schedule for biletral talks with Jacob Zuma whilst in RSA. Surely these 2 men are going to discuss something and who knows he may came back with a bit coffin lowering and refridgeration equipment to supplement the hearses bought and distributed to councils. We are yet to see action. Is Pande in the presidential entourage I cant see his face in the photo at LIA.

  30. #26 Engines, Again Why do you choose to be irrelevant, you are talking about Rupiah the ‘veteran diplomat’, we are talking about his uninvited trip to SA. A veteran diplomat handles issues in an orderly manner not gate-crashing.

What kind of leader is he, he cannot be trusted on what he says. He said the mobile hospitals were a donation while his so called spokesman says they are on loan. You Engines and Senior Citzien tell Rupiah that he is an embarrasment.

  31. #33, Judas, What era are you from. Zambia is a free country and not every one will support who ever you think is hot. And they don’t have to be in any one’s pocket. Can you understand this concept of freedom?

  32. Thought His Excellency was coming back immediately after concluding his appointments. Normally that would mean a very short visit. But alas he has assigned the VP to deal with the issue of the Journalist’s protest march as “he will be away”. Now that is Friday and he left on Tuesday. From some bloggers he met ZUMA last night. So today, tommorrow and Friday????? I cant follow, maybe someone has more details………………..

  33. #35 COME 2011. I am surprised you dont seem to get my line of argument in #26 . All i was trying to make you aware of is that when it comes to presidential matters the media is only briefed on a “Need to Know Basis” any where in the world. This means that its not all the time that the media will be copied with the latter of invitation or request, even Membe knows this fact. I even went further to hint you on the agenda of the meeting between Zuma and RB. unfortunately you decided to tell me about mobile hospitals and loans. you even went further to mention Senoir Citizen.what has this all got to do with the billateral talks that took place yesterday.

  34. the president is just going 4 medical review, not 4 bilateral talks, bcoz zuma is not aware of banda s visite 2 S.A.

  35. Our RB is at it again. This man is still on Honey moon, how many places has he been ever since becoming president. eeeh you cant even count. Maybe Kaganja can count. Want a wosrt of president we have.

  36. These MMD leaders are liars when they pressed to explain their wrong doings they size any opportunity to condem the action of their cadres in public but in private they encourage them to sort out journalists. This sort of huliganism has bin going for a long time. Its just window dressing. If RB is against harrassment of journalists why has he not applied the same speed to have cadres involved arrested as the ase with Chanda Kabwela. This is double standard. Those cadres involved are not hiding in heaven but known chaps and live amongest us.Every political party need cadres but no thugs or some sort malitia. We are not at war but are all Zambians except for our political affiliations.

  37. #15 Engines, dude, the closed door meeting was Zuma tellin pineapple face (RB) to give him a heads up next time he decided to be incognito. “U totally caught me off guard dude” he was heard to have said. Daisy xsay, wat up? Lookin good as always, dig them fotos. hope u never went to bop for Pineapple face at the airport 🙂

  38. “What!” shouted pineapple face wen he heard the journailsts were going to march to state house “that will mean i’ll have to say sumthin intelligent and thats just not me!!! Thandie, pack my bags, i am going kuli chi zuma. he wont give a sh!t that i am landing there suddenly, he’s as moronic as i am. What? Wat will the people say? Do i look like i give a sh!t wat the pipo think? tell em i’ve gone for sum bilateral watever oh and make sure ZNBC is at the airport. if any of the post morons wanna be there, cool, just tell Stampede Phiri to chill on the battering on this one. Once i take off, he can have their butts! Am Out! Peace!!!”

  39. Of all things is the veep the right man to deal with the media pipo when we have got Ronnie as MIB. George has proved something else look at the way he ahndled the Chanda Kabwela issue. This is no longer the George we used to know in Ndola ali chinja. He always praise singing his “MASTER”S VOCE”. May this time around.

  40. Nine chale, ola, thanks, the pic was taken when it was freezing last weekend. I had just pierced my nose..its hardly visible though….The weather was terrible but has improved now and it seems like we rapping up winter…How Germany?

Dudelove..howzit china….tell them brothers to stop killing chinese peeps….And I thought you would be here by now as per our agreement that you will be following presido when he goes on tour ..lol

    Eish…dont feel like working today…

  41. Hi everyone, i have not been in these parts for a long time now….I can great improvement by Ba LT,Big up.

    2011a real shocker for MMD!!

  42. # 45 dudelove you have made my day. naseka sana. Ba Moze ati shani yama. its good to see your postings apa pakati mwali queit yama. I got concerned I was thinking ati limbi naimwe mwaliya ku morningside clinic for a knee operation nga balya njikwite

  43. A little boy goes to his dad and asks, “What is politics?”

Dad says, “Well son, let me try to explain it this way: I’m the breadwinner of the family, so let’s call me capitalism. Your Mom, she’s the administrator of the money, so we’ll call her the Government. We’re here to take care of your needs, so we’ll call you the people. The nanny, we’ll consider her the Working Class. And your baby brother, we’ll call him the Future. Now, think about that and see if that makes sense,”

So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what dad had said.

Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parents’ room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting…

  44. wake her, he goes to the nanny’s room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and #52 ….sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed. The next morning, the little boy says to his father, “Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now.”

The father says, “Good son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about.”

The little boy replies, “Well, while Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, the Government is sound asleep, the People are being ignored and the Future is in deep poo.”

A bit like the Zambian situ!!!

  45. Nine Chale atishani mune? what happened to all those good people who used to be on this side of life?!have they all gone for operations or they still holding bilateral talks?!

  46. Daisy, u heard wat cut in Algeria with the chinese? And then wat cut here? Ati the chinese dude here as they fought for the gun was in the process of tunin “Can’t we all just get alo…” then wham and he was dead. As for following pineaplle face around (LOL) i was kicked out on my first day coz i was askin too many questions, one of which was “Do u ever visit LT on the internet?” I skim that was the particular question that got me fired. But seriously pipo, wat do we do about our totally clueless president? Senior Citizen, Patriot, Engines…its not too late dudes. join us. we forgive u, coz no person in their rite senses wud continue supporting this charade u call a govt. rb is blatantly runnin away, no shame at all. i mean come on, if he cant deal with this small prob, howz he…

  47. Great. I support RB on this one. The once great Mazulu are regrouping. Mswati, Zuma, and all other breakaway groups must come back on board. Then we can obliterate all the artificial borders and become ONE VERY HUGE MIGHTY ZULU EMPIRE again. I love it

  48. expected to run a country? Pliz, if sumone has an answer, preferably Engines, fill me in. the guy is a coward. he’s excellent ‘fair weather friend’ material. wen things are cool and cuttin, specially any traditional ceremony, u can count on him to be there but wen the road starts to get bumpy, he wants out. HOW DO U GO TO SOUTH AFRICA, SPENDING A LOT OF BUCK AND MBULA DOESNT EVEN KNWO ABOUT IT?? am at a loss my friends. i love my country to death but the sh!t heads in govt are pushing me into unknown emotional zones.

  49. Looks have nothing to do of who should be president of zambia, i am very disapoitented with bloggers who keep commeting about the looks of an individual the man is old how do you expect him to look ……..like a baby! that crazy some of you will look even worse at 70 you wont even be able to read. Some of you are already in pecks…….hids not atleast not always. SHAME ON YOU! dicourse issues not his looks

  50. Iwe # 17 Maikalange wilatusebanya ama Zambians ati visiting without invitation and unanounced. We are all not like RB. This man is from ZIM.

  51. #21 Engines

You are one of the sane ones.

The Post has a negative inclination. they probably knew the truth but they have to maintain their line. They have a certain clientele they must satisfy, they are a tabloid newspaper like the SUN in the UK. Whatever hot topic is in town, they spin it from their angle to keep the paper sales. Helps to read around, like you did.

  52. RB is exhibiting traits of a villager, visting kukalale without prior ‘request’. Mukwai nabese bansende ndi pa citesheni ninjisa mukutandala, or was the case with my mbuyas, always lost and going to ZNBC … ZBNC ifuna kusibisa aCrankshaft Banda kuti atate babo aRupiah Banda asoba ali kuno ku ZNBC. Munfunika mubere kuno mutenge atate bako. (My njanja is improving). Now imaging a similar announcement being made on SABC informing Zuma that RB is at SA’s Jo’burg Int. Airport ‘lost’!

  53. The President has categorically and unconditionally condemned violence against journalists and that is the story. But typical of die hard enemies, they deflect attention to some other totally irrelevant issue. I have come to conclude that some Zambians (blogging here and the Post) do not really have the interest of their country at heart. They will not develop a good story about Zambia but will kill it as soon as it comes up. Like vultures and hyenas they like dead and rotting meat. Like flies they are attracted to stinking and rotten flesh. I perceive that this heart is from the pit of hell. In the Bible, God talked about Job’s goodness, but Satan was quick to point out weakness. Criticism is welcome but what about praise? Inflation is down. Unemployment satble. Small claims court.

  54. RB should be ashamed. Why go for medical review in a foreign country. For forty years KK used to have his medicals at UTH. This new breed of leaders are a joke. The MMD should improve health services in Zambia.I hope and pray RB had bought a one way ticket to South Africa.

  55. What ever the case RB is a shame to the general economists in Zambia. I dont know what grADE he got at Masters level may it was just honourary masters as Sweden was a socialist country to which Zambia was aligned. I say so due to the fact that a person who is elightened at the level of masters cant be living in lies always. Your presido likes lying instead of being analytical. Its really a shame. Now he is gone for ever to Mourning Site with the wife. ALA TAPALI UBIMI MULI BA KATEKA……BALWELE.

  56. Corruption cases in court are being pursued with determination. Nchito has never been threatened except interviewed on Zambian Airways saga. In the teeth of a global economic recession: Investment in the country is on the increase. The Kwacha is stable. Not a single Bank in Zambia has collapsed, in fact more have sprung up. The building and construction industry is doing well. World Food Program has not been seen in Zambia. We have provided our own food to our people. Kabwe Zinc mine is on track to be revived. New mines are on the books. Inspite of outcry against fuel prices, there have never been more cars on Zambian roads than there are now. We are expecting another bumper harvest of maize. Fastest growing market for mobile phones!

  57. 15 Engines says” Banda met Zuma last night and the closed door meeting that lasted for slightly above 2hrs was closed at 18:30hrs.” This is lies, when ever you blog your name should be “the Engine Liar”. Zuma was at a fund raising dinner held in mid-rand, and banda was not there, it lasted until 22;15. Please answer!

  58. #62 kapyuku
That is the one issue that I agree with to criticise the President. I am concerned about healthcare in Zambia and I see successive governments failing to deal with this decisively. Mwanawasa built a Cancer hospital when cancer is not such a health priority in Zambia. One in three people in the west will die of cancer but still, most cancers are treated in moderate size general hospitals. Referral to cancer centres are for either rare cancers or experimental therapies. Surely the President could have been seen by a Zambian Orthopedic surgeon at UTH if he had requested the records to be transferred! Yes, on this matter, my blood boils!

  59. #57 Gracefulbouy, Yes you are right, looks have nothing to do about who should be president of Zambia. Somehow #57 your memory is very short, just a few days ago Rupiah Banda said Sata’s looks scare chiildren. To use your own words, Shame on Rupiah for talking about Sata’s looks!

  60. The money that the Presidential entourage will spend while in SA could buy a state of the art arthroscope for UTH and treat more patients with knee problems for a year! The amount GRZ has spent on his travels this year could buy a Magnetic Resonance Imaging machine at UTH that could be used to diagnose knee and other joint problems for the Zambian people. Yes, on this matter, I cannot understand why our leaders’ thoughts become blinkered.

  61. Heee, I did not see the photo…..who say RB is not smart????? I praise you RB you are so smart….nowonder Thandi fell for you. Keep it up with you handsomeness.

  62. #65 Mino, I support you totally, some of these bloggers Engines are now resorting to telling lies just like Rupiah the seasoned master liar.

  63. #62 2011 COUNTDOWN
That was ‘traditional cousin’ banter. In eastern province it is quiet often joked that a person is ‘choyofyela bana.’ (something to scare children with). It is purely jocular but of course there are people who think that because a man has become President, he has ceased to have a life and whatever he says is news. Obama jokes quiet a lot but you never see his jokes as headlines. It just comes to show the calibre of our journalist is so low that they cannot distinguish between what is relevant news and what is not. Otherwise there is a deliberate attempt to discredit the man before the donors who do not know our culture but are the paymasters of the Post!

  64. #70, Zambian politicans don’t think properly as their heads are jammed with fat. They are amazing homo sapiens never seen in any part of the world. Our beloved father of the nation super Ken spent 27 years at Statehouse and had all his medical check ups at UTH. Todate, the man is fitter than the stealing Kafupi and akward walking RB, who are reportedly much younger than him. Look at the thieving Kafupi, he looks like a bold headed monkey and soon we shall hear that he has gone to south africa to buy viagra with Zamtrop cash. What a waste of time and space to have such people in our midst. Lishamo sana kwena!!!

  65. People, is there any sanity in our Presido? How can he be going to RSA without an invitation? Unless the main agenda is as stated that he “is also expected to undergo a medical review” which then is a laughable matter.
This shows that our leaders have no regard for Zambian doctors, let alone the Zambian health system. Otherwise, how could the Presido go to RSA for a knee medical check up. Can this not really be done at UTH or any other private hospital if he needs privacy?
Lack of priorities, no wonder he has obtained a loan from China for mobile hospitals- Total insanity or is it madness.

  66. Can’t this headman emulate other leaders sure, his fellow presidents are busy working in ther prespective countries while him busy disturbing them with his unfruitfull meetings. Just how many times has he travelled to SA for unknown meetings, Zuma should have chessed IT!!

  67. #77 MAMA….hahahahahahahah you have made my day darling….ati ‘ZUMA SHOULD HAVE CHASED IT’. hahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  68. This chi President of Zambia is just a useless coward. He is afraid of facing Mmembe in person because Mmembe is a fearless questioner. Now, Mmembe won’t ask difficult questions to Kunda because all Kund will say is don’t shoot a messenger. But BBC reporters will try and quiz him but am sure they will get the same answer. So no win case for the journalists. Alternatively, I would advise them to take legal action against the party cadres who assaulted the journalists and then see how society reacts. hahahahahahaa. Fumbi kobo!!!

  69. 31, I agree with you, people need to see through Meembe. he reports what suits him and his most times if not always. Sometimes he is not even objective, he becomes so subjective and obsesssed with some topics and especially certain personalities such as Chiluba and now Rupiah. The way people buy what he writes and just go along with him with everything is what I fail to understand. Even the Bible advises us to verify weather what the pastor is teachng you is true word of God. There are lot of things which have happened in this Country which he has not dweled on so muchbecause……

  70. Black shoes, navy blue pair of trouser, sky blue shirl, something grayish jackect, whatever colour tie. I bet Tona would dress better than this clown!

  71. Is this the man who speaks ill of Sata’s red eyes? Look at this “thing” – what is is this? Shrek? Has he taken a peek in his mirror lately?

  72. #39ENGINE,
Reading between the lines of your comments, I wonder whether you are can differentiate between reported speech and direct.
My brother, the post is not giving its opinions here. The post is just quoting the words from the Zambian ambassador to the RSA and maybe the president. So, if you want to find someone to condemn, the ambassador would be the best and not the post unless you personally have something against Meembe.
And by the way, I would want to know how comfortable it is living a life of always wanting to justify wrongs.

  73. Our president is only a pleasureseeker that, is all that he knows too well let him be known to everyone before 2011

  74. Fellow bloggers why do we digress? The issue here should be about the violence carried out by MMD cadres on journalists. Banda has condemned the violence whereas Sata did not say anything against PF cadres who beat up PF members some months back.

  75. JOURNALISTS DONT LET THE VICE PRESIDENT ADDRESS YOU PLEASE WAIT FOR HIM TO COME BACK.UNLESS HE TELLS THE NATION THAT HE IS NOT COMING BACK.WE ARE SICK AND TIRED OF THE MMD HIDE AND SEEK.HIS HAS JUST RUN AWAY AND MAKE SURE YOU DEMONSTRATE WHEN HE IS BACK FROM SA.BAKALETABILA PA TV AWE……..GOOD LUCK.FIRST WHERE IS DORA SHE MISSED A VERY IMPORTANT EVENT KU CBU

  76. RB is now showing his true colors..and soon he will be just like his cousin Mugabe. He is showing signs and symptoms of a dictator. He will turn Zambia into another Zimbabwe.

  77. RB is so ugly that even monkeys can not stand him.Even wild animals are showing displeasure by pissing on him….very shameful!!!

  78. #93, i think lets learn to differ only in principle and not on who looks charming or is closer to hell. RB is a father and his children would not like to be told papa is ugly. beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. lets learn to distinguish RB from the presidency. the presidency remains while RB is a fleeting moment. to me, the man has a good captivating smile yet i differ with him on the fact that he has not done enough according to his job description;president. just like the mmd has lost it all in terms of collectively ruling zambia especially from 1994 until now.
