The Patriotic Front (PF) leader, Michael Sata has maintained that the pact has not collapsed adding that it is still in existence.
Mr Sata said that the PF has not yet received any formal letter indication of the UPND’s withdrawal from the pact. He maintained that his party will comment on UPND’s purported decision to break away from the pact after it receives official notification from its partner.
“I don’t comment on gossip, I also just heard from the news that UPND has decided to break away but we have not received official documentation to that effect,” Mr Sata said.
The outspoken opposition leader also refused to comment on allegations by the UPND that the pact failed because of his party.

RB and MCS had an emergency meeting at state house today where both agreed that they shall forget their grievances and work together to make sure HH does not enter state house. They admitted that HH has outsmarted both of them, an insult to their seniority and against established custom of respect to age and grey hair in african society.
They agreed to find a senior citizen to give a surprise contest to HH. Names of KK, D. ZUlu and FJT were floated to stand on MMD ticket but after heated agruments it was agreed to postpone this to the next meeting while both MCS and RB shall continue as if they never met. Secrecy of the meeting and names to be considered in next meeting is paramount.

I for one do not think Chirwa would have sent that proposal to PF without running it through HH. It is clear HH had accepted to be the junior partner in this Pact but it was Sata and Kabimba’s overzealousness of running to the Post to accept the proposals instead of rooting their response via the same channel it came that has wrenched the Pact. Kabimba and whoever advised him must be brainless, this was the only Pact via which Sata could be president but he has lost it in very s’t’u’pid circumstances. It’s not hard to see that HH realised Sata’s debilitating heart disease will sooner than later puch him over the edge and land the presidency on him but now he has realises Sata is mad and cannot be trusted.

The only time MMD has ever been violent is when Mr. Sata was part of MMD. This was the MMD of 1991 to 2001. That was Mr. Sata’s MMD. That MMD left the current MMD and went to form PF.

I do not insult aimlessly. I do not contradict myself to the extent Mr. Sata and his cadres do. As for the Intercity Bus allegation, it was stated “suspected MMD cadres”. That does not mean it was actually MMD cadres and you do not have evidence to prove it was MMD cadres.

They used to get Mealie meal from him to bribe voters…..He now mortgages our land in his US$30 million deal with Taiwanese….
What you should know is that some of those bad elements in MMD were started by Chiluba in conjuction with SATA as a then manager of MMD( MMD Secretary). He can not claim to be blank when he was the main recepient of all these deals….

Anyhow, may what Sata MC means is that he is willing to apologise to Southerners and UPND over his statement that HH leads a small tribal party of Southerners and hopes HH will consider him (Sata MC) as Zambian Vice-President once HH wins this 2011’s elections.
I hope HH will tell the Nation soon that he is willing to appoint serpent Sata MC as his Minister in his Administration should he form GRZ Administration.

It seems to me that most people dont understand how a patnership works,as long as UPND has not writen to PF they are still partners, SATA is right.Why is it that whatever SATA says or do is wrong to the MMD are you so thick?
Sata is not a dictator even if he was his health would fail him, surely as Zambians we can give him just 5 year. yes he has an abbrasive character but thats what get things done. Some of us have had bosses or even father’s who were like Sata but we respected them because they delivered. Now to run a nation is not a job for anyone its a job for someone who has the character and the strength for it not anyone can do it. Now Sata has gone through a lot of change even as a person. Previously by now we would have expected Sata to say he does care avout HH and UPND, but alas he has remained quiet which to me is a great sign of maturity. GIVE SATA A CHANCE!
