President Rupiah Banda says some political parties are questioning the electoral process in the hope of advancing for a government of national unity.
And President Banda says he will therefore not accept to form a government of National Unity with any dull political Party leaders.
Mr Banda says some political parties know that they will not form government and want to confuse the Zambian people by questioning the electoral process.
He says those questioning the electoral process know that this year’s elections will be free and fair but still want to champion violence, in the hope of forming a government of National unity.
The President has called on all politicians taking part in the September 20 general elections, to work hard and let the people decide what they want.
Mr Banda has urged Zambians to denounce violence during the election period and only encourage peaceful polls.
He was speaking when he addressed a meeting for government heads of departments, the business community and the clergy in Livingstone on Saturday.
Mr. Banda asked people of Livingstone to vote for him and other MMD candidates in order to continue with the unprecedented development that the country has recorded.
And MMD National Secretary Major Richard Kachingwe urged workers in the country to scrutinise the Patriotic Front manifesto.
He says the PF Manifesto may not mean well to workers because it clearly states that civil servants will be headed by party cadres instead of technocrats.
He says the PF also PF plans to nationalize all the industries once it comes into power.
He further says the business community will risk bringing back socialism if they voted for the PF.
And former Parliamentary Chief Whip Vernon Mwaanga has called on all peace loving Zambians to guard jealously the peace that the country is enjoying.
He says Zambia has become the envy of the outside world because of president Rupiah Banda’s sound economic policies and the peace that it enjoys.
Mr Mwaanga says with the participation of the civil servants and the business fraternity the country’s economy has continued to grow.
And United Liberal party president Sakwiba Sikota says president Banda deserves another term in office because he has delivered on his 2008 campaign promises.

How long have you been a civil servant? How many of those years as a civil servant has been at the time Sata was Minister without Portfolio? In 1997 whilst Sata was Minister without Portfolio, junior doctors went on strike, Sata and company refused to yield to doctors’ demands of increased salaries, allowances, improved working conditions and equipment to perform their duties properly. Your Sata has a lot of blood in his hands. Don’t forget the demise of district councils and lack of funding was during his era. Civil servants getting their pay almost in the second month of their work could be traced to the period he was a senior member of government.

RB predicated that PACTS in Zambia can never work which came true .If PACT hard worked, RB would be saying goodbye by now .Right now no one knows who will win.

This comes from analysis, not just adding 1+1=2.
You have to understand that Zambian voting parttern is influenced by a number of factors, especially regional affiliations.
No pretence or shyness about that fact, we have all seen the trends in the past.
Now, why do I say MMD would have wone a landslide victory? Simple:
1) Assume the PACT picked on SATA as candidate; they would have lost entire Southern, Northwestern, western, Lusaka rural, and pockets of central.
2) If the PACT had picked HH, most of Lusaka and CB plus Northern, Luapula and Central line of rail was going to be lost.
In both cases above the loss was going to drift to MMD which would make great gain to MMD.
