Jacob Arrives, Libya Expected on Wednesday

Sports Jacob Arrives, Libya Expected on Wednesday

Jacob Mulenga has finally joined the Zambia national team in camp in Kitwe.

And Libya are expected to arrive tomorrow ahead of Saturdays 2012 Africa Cup Group C qualifier against Zambia to be played at Nchanga Stadium in Chingola.

Mulenga was the second and final foreign-based player expected to join camp on Tuesday.

Swiss based striker Emmanuel Mayuka join camp earlier on Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, Libya are due to fly in on Wednesday.

The Libya’s have chartered a flight from their Tunisia training base where they have been in camp for the last 18 days.

However, Faz said they have not been furnished with the Libyans arrival time.

  1. Libya has been in camp for 18 days…thats interesting, what clubs would give their players such long leave of absence on duty for their countries?! Goes to show the effect of the war on Libya…these guys have not had club football for months..thus to be camp for 18 days as opposed to Chipolopolo’s 3-6 days (Jacob will train with the lads for 3 days) makes them a dangerous bunch to play. They have no doubt worked on alot of issues, have the confidence of independence (probably matched with our Sata) and above all, the idea of qualifying against all odds (battle front issues)…we should not underestimate them by any chance…CHIPOLOPOLO, i pray you have a special bullet for these warriors…God’s speed!

  2. Congrats!so every body is in camp, wish the young lads best of lucky. Here comes de ball from mweene, throz it to jimmy chisenga, chisenga pumps a hi ball to joseph musonda who controlz it well, musonda to sunzu, stophile to nyambe mulenga in defence.meanwhile chansa z calling 4 de ball n he collects it frm mulenga.he meks a diagonal pass across de center circle to skipper katonga who chest control de ball,he runs 20mts wth de ball n gives it to mbesuma, who dribles his way n gives de ball to chamanga…chamanga beats 2 men n gives de ball to de left wing, cliford z running @ 60km/h n reaches de ball, dribbles his maker n crosses de ball, where r de tall ones Mulenga arrives n is gud inthe air & its a goooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaal, mulenga mulenga gud lucky Zambia.

  3. Its a good thing that our hard working FAZ has managed to asemble the team that we know will deliver the results.we are behind you guys go on and make us proud,Go zambia Gooooooo!

  4. Give the new government of President Sata and Zambians a present by qualifying to to the Africa Cup of Nations 2012.Good Luck
