MMD won’t stop talking – Nevers Mumba

1. 2 defence mechanisms have saved us well as a party so far, namely:-
   1. If you question our incopetency, then you get villified for being BITTER because we won the sep 2011 election

   2. When convenient we can pretend we have actually developed Zambia within 90 days. We then start mocking you for failing to see the masive development we have done.

Ba Never Mumba pliz…… as a leader of MMD do even have the right to open your mouth concern hight level of unemployment, when MMD 20 yrs into power totally nothing just to increase corruption, selffishness,..u named and today the same MMD want to put the blame on PF govt which is just into power for 1 year…….shame on you Never, shame on you MMD

   • All the PF leadership are founding fathers of MMD and Sata Jumped ship 10 years ago and the others in less than 5 years. And in as far as I can see Zambia has never had any good employment records since the copper depression in the 70’s. So all this blame for unemployment levels was a political gimmick by the PF to woe the gullible into believing that they can create jobs in 90 days. Now the heat is on, they are doing what they do best- blame MMD-they did it in opposition and they continue to do it in power.

4. i dont like most of mmd members but i admire DR brian chituwo,the man was well raise up by whoever did it,most of the time he speaks tangible issues not these muchingaland vocals.

   • I agree with you. I am not an MMD supporter but I think Dr. Chituwo is a credible guy. Man of integrity and perhaps it is due to his education.

5. Ba Nevers, lets go back to preaching the word of God and not making yourself a foolish public figure, who is always opening his mouth for no reason. Make a comment where it is due and not on everything. Is it to hard for you to be still ? mwa lapwa nomba line and people won`t even vote for you because of your mouth !!!

7. Dr. Mumba, 90 days is a very low level of debate at this stage of the development of the political landscape in Zambia. We’ve exhausted that argument and it seems to be of no other use than rubbing it in, which is not what we need. We need to find a way forward which involves using the best way we can our current scenario. Whether we like PF or not, we’re stuck with them until 2016. Paralyzing their operations will also paralyze national development and delivery of goods and services. What I would like to hear from someone aspiring to be my president is what he or she will do, what they have seen as causes of our problems, and what they see as methods to be applied to solve these problems. Its well and good to say that an incumbent is not performing. Tell us how YOU will perform.

9. We are not saying you should stop talking for it’s good for our country’s democracy. Just stop complaining and being against anything Micheal Sata/PF for your past leaves much to be desired. Offer solutions and alternatives instead of just pandering to your party. This is about finding solutions to help every zambian live a better life, not just singing like you are still on the pulpit. Where you see a loss for the PF, the zambians see progress and trust me, zambians are not stupid and they don’t forget easily. You need to clean the corruption in your party first before we can take you seriously. 

10. The PF used the 90 day stratagem bcoz they’re masters of subterfuge and prevarication.These same tricks obtain within PF to thwart internal democracy.Not a real party imho.

16. When will PF stop campaigning and begin to govern? We are tired of listening to promises that are never fulfilled. MMD and other opposition parties should continue to offer checks and balances. That is why Zambia is a multi-party democracy. The nation can`t afford to go back to a one party state where the President was hero-worshipped even if he made mistakes. So far, PF has not done anything worthy of praise, and the only legacy that Sata could leave if he left office to today is that of hiring and firing. What we want PF to do is to clearly outline their domestic and foreign policies so that people can be patient with them as they follow through their plans. Otherwise, it is CNP!

17. No one is stopping you in MMD or indeed any other political organization from talking, but we the people of Zambia will be the only ones to evaluate the relevance of such utterances to national building.

20. I sense that most of the comments here are coming from the hate of Nevers Mumba as a person and not what he has just said! Indeed what he is doing should be encouraged for the good of democracy. This is certainly better than “You are uglier than me” between Rupiah and Sata a few years back! The truth is that as much as MMD made mistakes in the last 20 years, PF hoodwinked the population into voting for them with promises they have found hard to deliver. What is wrong with someone pointing that out?

28. I agree with Nevers Mumba. PF has  been in power for close to a year now, and they are still acting like they are in opposition. Instead of working, the president and his vice are always campaigning in simple louse By-elections instead of focusing on fulfilling their campaign promises. They said Zambia will be developed in 90 days, all we have seen is dwindling of money in people’s pockets. Youths are still unemployed. Workers strikes have continued in sector. Power outages and fuel shortages are worse off. Inflation has gone up. What development can they claim?

29. At least with Mugabe and Amin, they were normal when they came to power. Power and neuro-syphilis demented them in office. With Zambians, it’s a different matter, they elected a clearly mad man into office who six months later had to have his bollocks amputated because of a malignant case of neuro-syphilis that also left his behaviour most erratic and supremely uncouth. Every time he leaves the country, Zambians remain with baited breath for embarssment. It’s too much to pay for any electoral decision the electorate have to pay, the lunatic must be removed from power before one of his toilet political acrobatics spark a war with another country.
