Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital in Lusaka has been hit by erratic water supply.

This comes barely five days after Republican President Michael Sata stormed University Teaching Hospital-UTH- following a critical water shortage there.

Some patients at the institution say life is hard as water has become scarce.

The water shortage has since left most toilets in a pathetic state as the human waste could be noticed.

Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital Public Relations officer, Mwenya Mulenga, has confirmed that the institute has been experiencing some erratic water supply.

  1. Mr President please, could you also visit this hospital? There are a few more that needs storming ….., in particular on the copper-belt. Hope this governing-by-storming wont keep you away from doing your REAL presidential work, eh, like policy formulation, managing cabinet, etc

    • Micro-management is not the most effective way of management. The President would be consindered a failure if he is supposed to be everywhere to ensure things run smoothly.A leader is supposed to be a visionary and should assemble a team that buys into his plan and follow through on its execution.

  2. These things used to be ‘normal’ in MMD GRZ but now that we do not accept such mediocrity it appears as if the problems have just started. Good job PF, at least the people can not expect better services under your GRZ.

    • how can you talk like that wen are talking about human life. when did u see UTH lacking water during the banda regime?think before taulabosa

  3. Its unfortunate that water shortage can now start affecting big hospitals like Mwanawasa General Hospital.Ninshi ba Lusaka water and sewerage want patients to start drawing water. Why dont this these companies be put under local councils because if a hospital can be affected what more a common Zambian in Shangombo or in the outscates.A street vendor in Misisi.

Ba president please make a decision because we are not in a desert to be experiencing water shortage. We all know you are a man of action and we know water is not an issue with you your execellency.Just move these to local government and let the government take full control.Water is life and we boast of so many rivers why have these problems

  4. First of all, is it the hospital management or lusaka water and sewerage company responsible for this? It sounds like LWSCo is responsible. Even if sata storm the hospital nothing will happen as long as LWSCo is not supplying water to the hospital. LWSCo is which needs to be stormed for its poor services. Dealing with the underlining cause is solving all the problems

  5. Eeye, tinali kuku uzani, mwaona manje? Mapaipi yamatuvi ya zapolika manje manje. Ndiye kuti azogoleri akunyumba yaBoma azayenda okaona matuvi kuti akonze vuto? tMore feaces after 90 days is what we wisely voted for.

    • Eyo kwena muli basele, muli mfumu yafimasele, kumonafye neshina and everything you post always packed with insults. people when you see an adult with such vulga language just know that the person had a very sad childhood.
