IF IT WAS MAMMOTH, ONE COULD HAVE EXPECTED THE “OVERWHELMING” CROWDS TO OVERRUN THOSE WHO WANTED TO CAUSE THE DISRRUPTION. THE POLICE ACTUALLY MANAGED TO BRING ORDER AND THE RALLY PROCEEDED. BUT STILL THE RALLY WAS FAR FROM BEING MAMMOTH. WE NEVER HEARD OF CROWDS OF PEOPLE GOING BACK TO THEIR HOMES BECAUSE OF THE VIOLENCE. THE ACTION BY THOSE SO CALLED PF CADRES IS ALSO TO BE CONDEMNED OF COURSE. BUT THE FACT STILL REMAINS. THAT RALLY WAS MINIATURE. THE UPND HAS FAILED TO ATTRACT LEVEL-HEADED CITIZENS OF ZAMBIA.
