Chief Government Spokesperson Kennedy Sakeni has strongly reacted to the press conference held by opposition paties in johannesburg , south Africa, labelling it as a ‘paid for’ Press conference. Mr Sakeni accused former President Rupiah Banda of scheming to spearhead the suspension of Zambia from the Commonwealth based on unfounded accusations.

According to Mr Sakeni, Mr. Banda‘s insinuations during his press conference held in Rosebank in South Africa by some Zambian opposition political leaders should be proved beyond all reasonable doubt for Zambia to be suspended from the commowealth.

However, the office of the former Rupiah Banda has just released a statememt staing that Former President Rupiah Banda was not at today’s press conference.

Below is Mr Kennedy Sake’s full press statement.

STATEMENT BY MINISTER OF INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING SERVICES AND CHIEF GOVERNMENT SPOKESPERSON HON. KENNEDY SAKENI, MP ON ALLEGATIONS OF INTIMIDATION BY OPPOSITION POLITICAL PARTIES

As Government we challenge former president Rupiah Bwezani Banda to come out clean over today’s press conference held in Rosebank, South Africa by some embattled Zambian opposition political leaders who include UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema, MMD’s Nevers Mumba and ULP’s Sakwiba Sikota.

During this ‘paid –for’ press conference, the so-called opposition leaders accused this Government of among other things; harassing, intimidating and attacking members of the opposition; that His Excellency, Mr. Michael Chilufya Sata is trying to enforce a one-party state; that President Sata is stoking ethnic tensions in the country and they further proceeded in a preposterous manner to call for the suspension of Zambia from the Commonwealth on account of these alleged violations and human rights abuses.

As Government, we are aware of Mr. Banda’s direct links to these immature and embarrassingly unpatriotic fruitless schemes. For example, is it a coincidence that Mr. Banda has been to South Africa twice in a week; he first left on 6th February accompanied by Mr. Dickson Jere and returned on 7th February; only to leave again for the same destination the following day – 8th February, 2013. And on 9th February, 2013, Pastor Mumba accompanied by Pastor Nakachinda similarly left for South Africa; only to be followed by Mr. Hichilema, who was accompanied by Mr. Jack Mwiimbu on 10th February, 2013. The result of these hasty and deceitful trips is today’s sponsored press conference in Rosebank!

Our word of advice to Mr. Banda and his newly constituted ‘defence’ team of Pastor Mumba, Mr. Hichilema and Mr. Sikota is that the matters he is facing shall be justly determined within the Zambian jurisdiction. Therefore, let them make no mistake because this PF Government is resolved to seek justice with regards to Mr. Banda and his children’s alleged involvement in the plunder of this country’s public resources. We shall follow the laid down legal procedures and processes to seek justice for the Zambian people.

No amount of political blackmail and media stunts will stop us from fulfilling this campaign promise we made to the Zambian people. The allegations of corruption against Mr. Banda and his family were not only made by us; they were also made by some of his newly found friends like Mr. Hichilema and also there was heightened international concern about the levels of corruption in Mr. Banda’s Government. Prompting Mr. Banda to tell international donors at that time to pack and go.

The truth of the matter is Mr. Banda is facing a credible investigation. And this Government has accorded Mr. Banda respect so far as his legal rights and freedoms are concerned. We therefore wonder what Mr. Banda is scared of to hastily convene a press conference by proxy in South Africa, which he could have done here. If Mr. Banda has done nothing wrong, let him face the law enforcement agencies. In as far we are concerned there are no human rights abuses or violations; Mr. Banda is alleged to have committed criminal offences and like every citizen he needs to answer to those allegations and he shall be accorded the full due process of the law.

As for Pastor Mumba, who himself is in court for suspected abuse of public resources; we urge him as a Man of the Collar to take time and reflect on his lies and cheap deceit. Our colleagues in opposition should have the courage and honesty to face the consequences of their previous misdeeds. They accuse us of intolerance and yet the same people complaining on foreign soil are the largest beneficiaries of our political tolerance.

When Mr. Hichilema made a reckless statement over a sovereign state of Sudan and alleged that the ruling PF was recruiting militias in that country, he was given an opportunity to retract his statement, which he rudely turned down. Today, the matter is in court and according to the documents filed in the Lusaka High Court Mr. Hichilema is arguing that he is entitled to alarm the nation since it’s a democracy; there is freedom of expression.

Let them know that there is nothing democratic about intentions to sow despondency and anarchy in a country. In fact, today’s act on foreign soil by these disgruntled opposition leaders alone is a serious indictment on their preparedness and eligibility to lead this country. It’s very clear that they are not ready for the task they so much long for. Who takes pride in discrediting a country they aspire to lead? It’s totally wrong; unAfrican and falls short of the elementary dictates of patriotism and focussed leadership.

Hon. Kennedy Sakeni MP
MINISTER OF INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING SERVICES AND CHIEF GOVERNMENT SPOKESPERSON

LUSAKA, 12thFebruary, 2013— We wish to correct the impression created by some sections of the media that His Excellency Rupiah Banda, the Fourth President of the Republic of Zambia, was allegedly among the people that attended the press conference of Zambian opposition political parties and civil society organisations in Johannesburg today.

It is our sincere hope that this record can be put straight for the benefit of the general public.

    • i have promised my self not to say anything aganist the president.Mr president plzzzzz…….mmbembe, nchito and kabimba are destroying your image, your work.

    • There’s no opposition in Zed. From the time PF came into power the so called opposition are behaving like mad men. They rant, they desire to discredit PF and they don’t care if they damage the image of Zambia in the process. This isn’t the first time they’ve acted so unpatriotic. HH is on record calling for donor agencies not to help Zambians and on record of calling the president a dictator saying he will submit a list to the Int’l Crt of Justice. Now with Banda’s blessing thru his lawyer, Armstadum, he’s pushing for Zambia to be labelled a human rights abuser. Mind you, he is not calling for the PF government but for Zambia as a country. This includes all members of MMD, UPND, ULP PF alike. Today’s gov’t comprises of PF, UPND and MMD. The leader is PF. Where’s the love for Zed?

    • The govt was duty-bound to respond to the allegations but Hon. Sakeni’s reponse is emotional and lacks the leadership and guidance required of a ruling party. Exclamation marks in a ministerial press release??????????????? Tyring to play the role of a working intelligence officer by putting the exact dates and number of times that people left the country does not provide a true indication of productive intelliegence gathering (and for that matter include it in a press release???? 🙂 🙂 :)) Phew…. I reset my case

  1. they have the freedom of assembly elsewhere not here..why should you blame them..let them be..and from your reaction..all they said is true..!Zambia is now rotten..

    • @ blacky… when they assemble in zambia, PF says `public order act`. then if it should surely no problem for anybody to go and assemble in south africa….NO ONE PARTY STATE FOR ZAMBIA,,, NEVER! KABIMBA AND PF CAN HANG!

    • Blacky this is how cowards behave!!Why should the opposition meet in Johannesburg if they have nothing to hide?RB thinks Zambians will forgive him by mobilising these failures in the names of HH and Nevers Mumba. These two crooks know that they will never lead Zambia as presidents because their priorities are misplaced!!These people dont even know what opposition in politics is.They think it is all about fighting.Who do they intend to punish by having Zambia expelled from the Commonwealth. Is it PF or Zambian people? What human rights are they talking about when they are the ones who are busy encouraging violence?Who doesnt know anout Mwapatizya formula?

    • @Life is a journey; if Sata had the same attitude you have, he should have just stopped after the second attempt at the presidency. Just as you have that opinion, if Sata could become president of Zambia, I think any indecent person can make it, hence Mumba or HH can in the same token become president. Sata lied his way into State House, were it not for that, he is not presidential material. He is uncouth, undiplomatic (note I haven’t referred to his humble education – that is immaterial).

  2. The statement by Sakeni sounds like it came from Mmembe’s pen. Mr Sakeni dont be emmotional. Take your time and reflect what is happening to Zambia. Put Zambia first before self!

    • I agree, I think you meant to say Mr Mmembe don’t be emotional. Sakeni can’t write like this ..this is a POST newspaper editorial from Mmembe

    • Spot on! Who does Sakeni think can be fooled by that cheap reaction? Everyone knows that Sata is flat on his face, I doubt it if he is even aware of his own roundings at the moment. This is why we see Mmembe fully in charge of running government. He does the thinking, the writing and editing of government statement in the only way he knows how, then pass it over to a mouth piece. Try another response Mr Minister, that’s a post tabloid editorial we are so familiar with as chief bootlicker rightly puts it. We’ve seen and heard it before.

    • I agree with u on that, but the opposition leaders are coward too, u don’t discredit your on a foriegn land but protect it and your people thats what best leaders do and fight the battles at home

    • Honestly mwe bantu, this article should not pass as a government statement. It is an emotional comment fit for an editorial of a privately owned tabloid paper.

  3. The world s a global village mwana, supress them here and records are being kept, wait you lose power thats when you will see the ugly part of life.and RB is a ronowned statesman dont smear him with dung.

    • Where u in Zambia when it was clear for any sane Zambian 2c dat Bwezani incorporated were lootng Zambia of it’s meagre resources?U don’t hv shame in supportng a man dat told donors 2hang.Hv u 4goten dat we had the worst strike by health workers during da regime of Bwezani incorperated?Y in da 1st place did Bwezani Inc. remove da abuse of office clause from AAC statutes?Sometimes,it pays 2hv a little information when u post b4 u expose yo ignorance & warped thinking

    • Manmta, please, not that there are a lot of paid up bloggers nowadays especially on wd.Just read to know what there thinking is.RB thinks can survise by using the international communit. Some try by all means to bring in Mmembe who does not even communicate with the president.Nevers Mumba’s pay comes from RB,what do you expect.HH looks at RB delivering Estern pronvince and MMD in general to him.HH can never win elections without the support of other parties. As for Saki,he is a good lawyer and a criminal at the same time.Saki will be mentioned in most cases involving RB.Saka and Armsterdam are one and the same.

    • tribalist, if you dig into history RB is just being caught up by the schemes he created several decades ago. It is not for nothing that we say what goes around comes around… Find out more about your “ronowned statesman” as you have stated…

  4. Abuse of human rights, killings in western province happended under Bwezanis watch. His family and government’s abuse of our money is well documented and thats why his son fleed the country and today those people have the guts to speak ill about our country.

  5. If it were in court, PF 0, Opposition 9…. This is a dull response from Sakeni… the issue is suppressing human rights not RB… please ba PF, learn to address substantive issues in your so called “responses.”

  6. Come home and test your credibility and leadership qualities here in Zambia. Parroting on foreign soil will not win you the sympathy and support you desperately need.

Your actions on foreign soil prove that you are spineless and pathetic cowards

Bola ili kuno. Uko final baliteya kale

    • They do not want home ground, obviously it was chaired by ka Robert Armsterdam .Am sure he sent that Mkushi guy to cause that accident in Chinena John.HH no one will vote for you if you can’t even mourn with us.

  8. Send them to Chimbokaila for despondency, false alarm and treason, immediately they arrive from South Africa what a bunch of coward and treachery lot.The law should teach them a lesson, surely they have to dance to it.Have they ever seen a South African, Zimbabwean, Congolese come to hold a press conference to discredit their country, what a bunch of fools, with an insatiable appetite to lead despite not having credibility and right judgement. Is that what you call opposition? foolish imbeciles.jail them.

    • You are a complete fool. have you forgotten that during the stugles for independence, South african,Zimbabwean leaders had a base in Zambia because their countries did not allow them to meet and discuss about te future of their countries?

    • There’s no opposition in Zed. From the time PF came into power the so called opposition are behaving like mad men. 9. They would have needed a ‘PERMIT’ if they were to hold the press conference in Zambia.

Good way round the dictatorial rules

And why is Sakeni commenting on matters that are in court?

  10. Sakeni, Sakeni (oh,ape), why do you want to divet this issue to Banda? You make me sick. Iam PF but the way you handle our political opponents sucks to say the least. We as PF are in power today because MMD was civilised enough to let us talk to the people. Remember the fall of eminent people like Gadaffi and Sadam. Compared to these men, Sata is a rat. But they fell. At ‘paid for press conference’, What is wrong with that?

  11. I was at the meeting today and I can confirm that President Rupiah Bwezani Banda was not in attendance. It is now really hard to engage with this statement which is really fallacious to say the least.

Has the intelligence the Government is relying on also began to fail? How could they put out such a erroneous statement like emotional little girls in a house with a rat?

    • Ba Bootlicker RB was in attendance in the name of his family lawyer. At his level, when his spokesperson acts on his behalf, we say he did it. If this whole thing was not planned and executed by Banda what was his lawyer doing there? This whole thing is going to blow on their faces when the Commonwealth will trash the document as malicious. MMD has MPs, UPND has MPs why don’t you use the right channels to fight grievances? What is the use of having MPs when you cannot even use them to fight for the plight of the party and its people. One day you call for donors not to help Zambia. today you call for the Zambia to be blacklisted. Where is your loyalty lie? To Zambia or to your political ambitions. MMD and UPND members are also Zambians. You condemn Zambia…..what a waste!

    • The statement said he attended but did not say whether in-person or in blessing. Think about it. It is Banda’s lawyer, paid by Banda who presented the petition. What a statesman! Condemning his own country just because he does not like the ruling party. All was well if it was MMD in power. They can plunder and chase donors when they speak against corruption. Now PF is speaking against corruption and plunder and MMD moves to condamn the whole country. Then you will come back and say Zambia we love you. Instead of being useful, you are just digging your own grave. Zambia will not be expelled or suspended from the Commonwealth. We are fine and actually can do without the current toothless opposition.

    • Condemning a government in power is different from condemning the country. The opposition parties are not expected to sing praises to the ruling party. That is why they are in opposition.

  12. i have just finished reading the petition.
these guys and their fake lawyer are dreaming. who in his right mind will take them serious with those allegations they have listed?
it only shows that the guys have become desperate now and will do anything to derail the govt. so that the masses loose faith in them.
and again maybe its a sign that pf is on the right track after all and the loosers are not happy about it.

    • Not to mention, those countries they have representatives in Zambia who they get from the true information about the happenings in the country than what they are informed by these cowardish opposition leaders

  13. Banda is a common thief. So is Mumba. I bet Chipimo was not amongst this bunch of unpatriotic cowards. Why did they not hold the conference in Zambia. Sata endured all the persecutions he suffered under MMD and took it like a man. I remember when Mazoka took some cigars for Sata during one of many incarcerations Sata suffered under MMD. Anyway, I thought they were going to report Zambia to the International Criminal Court?

    • Chipimo would have been cleaning Sata’s shoes at the time.

2 wrongs never make it right as they say. If Sata suffered, he must be a coward for him to wish the same suffering on others.

    • @mukane,, you sound like a person how was born with aid of witchdoctor juju!, now my boy let help see light,.. if your sata has to purse RB, let him also go after nchito and mmembe, let him allow investigations on kabimba and GMB,,, lets have zambia balanced and fair in all sectors… .Why should sata be an touchable? who put him in power?, he must respect people, love both those you voted for him and those who didnot…love everyone including his haters.. thats why he´s president of zambia.its his duty,,NO BUTS OR IFS!

  14. Rupiah Banda and his lawyers are missing one important point. Of course the law provides for immunity from civil lawsuits seeking damages for presidential actions.
Any criminal activities including plunder and corruption are not covered by presidential immunity, why can’t Zambians get this in their thick skulls. Stealing and corruption is NOT presidential action, it is criminal. Former Presidents in France and other countries have been questioned and some jailed for corruption WHILE they have been enjoying immunity. What is so special about RUPIAH BANDA or MICHAEL SATA? Even Sata, after his term will come under scrutiny and be questioned, even jailed if found guilty (unless he goes to meet his maker). If you continue shielding Rupiah, how are you going to question Sata after his term?

    • You’re the one with a thick skull. If RB has committed any criminal activity please FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION and strip him off his immunity in PARLIAMENT. Tell your SATA to go before Parliament and present the case against RB. We are not going to let you to urinate on Zambia’s laws and constitution!

  15. Honourable, Sakeni
This country, SOUTH AFRICA, is not a tenth province of Zambia but a commodity rich and highly developed democratic state though it is still an emerging market. Mr. Hichelema enjoys more respect than PF gang put together and it is for this reason that Denel has a special interest in uranium deposits in Gwembe Valley (Southern Province) worth billions of US dollars or more. Expect more of these talk shows in S.Africa involving the Zambian opposition.
Mr. Hichelema’s quest for his presidential position in the future is a matter which will be realised. S.Africa needs uranium to feed its nuclear power plants and its arms industry. This country is controlled by capitalists and whatever they say is final.

    • HH will never rule this country since he is a coward like Nevers Mumba. He goes to South Africa to say what ? That the opposition is being persecuted for breaking the Law?

The man should not be compared with Anderson Mazoka who was a really politician and fought all kinds of corruption and was an admirer of Michael Chilufya Sata.

      Shame on HH.

    • Brain damaged reaso, ing. Then OPPOSITION are sell-outs.
hh ena is down the drain. never ever be near state house.
      Voters are in Mpongwe, Lstone,etc.

  16. The statement by government cannot be differentiated from the Post editorials. You are wasting your time on our RB. No matter what you do, God is on the side of RB. Those of you claiming that RB stole, bring the evidence!

  17. When they call for a rally in Lusaka, the answer is NO! Press conference in Lusaka. NO! In free civilised South Africa, Sakeni says NO! So where do u want them to go? Mars?

    • So they wanted a rally and press conference for this crap/ No wonder the government refused to give them a permit. Actually this action just vindicates why these goons should never be allowed to hold public meetings. they are a disgrace. How can you call for a country to be blacklisted?

    • @Luundu, stop lying! These opposition 1d!ots of yours have been holding Press Conferences in the morning, afternoon, and evenings; Monday through Sunday unmolested by anybody. Where have U been? There is a big difference between a Press Conference and a Political Rally, bululu.

Unlike a Rally, you don’t need ‘platoons’ of police officers to keep peace during a press conference; especially during potentially violent political rallies in Zambia these days. And it is govt’s (regardless of Party) responsibility to ensure safety and public order. Unfortunately, even this simple and clear govt mandate seems to be too complicated for opposition leaders to comprehend. All they seem to crave is confrontation.

Now they think SIDE-SHOWS in foreign lands the way forward. WHAT A WASTE!

  18. I do not understand this, HH and Mumba, how do you defend a criminal? Are you going to protect Sata for all the corrupt activities after his term? I thought you guys would want to rule after 2016. I would have loved to see Sata’s immunity removed after 2016 and jailed for corruption like Hosni Mubarak of Egypt. How about that?

    • Who is a criminal here? Even a person caught red handed is alleged to be a criminal or shall we say a suspect and here you are calling someone who has not been fairly tried as a criminal. What dunderheads do we have in Zambia? You must be embarrassed for uttering such views. Innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the law of the land. Hence, for your own information Mumba and HH were not defending a criminal but a suspect who has the right to be heard and he has the right to remain silent in case of interrogations by the police. The accuser should provide the proof and not the other way round.

    • @ the kimbanguists…. HH and mumba are not defending any criminal, get it in your head, if you can´t , get it in your balls… sata shot himself in the foot here, why would he sata excuse other criminals and purse others,,, excuse kabimba, GBM, katele,,, even nchito and mmembe have cases to answer, but won´t answer because they are in sata´s camp. so what am saying is that NO is above the law… RB included… purse RB, go and recover that money from nchito and mmembe, jail katele, suspend and investigate kabimba and GBM… let us have it fair

  19. A stu.pid over the top response that just confirms what the opposition and civil society organizations are alleging! In their choice of a weapon the Pathetic Fools picked a Boomerang!

  20. Ine ifya so ndonfwa insoni mwe! no where in the world, where did you see or hear this? even if you have a reason surely uyu musebanya and it’s getting scary, how does SA allow this? The water runs deep indeed, am scared for my beloved country ZAmbia!

    • It is a good move. Lunacy should be clipped in the bud. Prevention is cheaper than cure! Countries have been destroyed because people did not act fast enough to avert a brewing crisis. PF is not just bad. Its evil!

    • Zuma has faced corruption charges and right now he is being investigated for abuse of govt funds over his expensive home village construction project. He is also the one shielding RB’s son henry from prosecution so the picture should’nt be too hard to understand.

  21. Good for hollywood “Press conference in Joburg” – Starring Hakaivotela Hyena, Nevers Mumbwe & Sakwiba Sikabolala.

  22. Rubbish. So this is the calibre of opposition leaders we have. How pathetic. Indeed they are a bunch of cowards. H.H, u have shamelessly destroyed a once vibrant and promising political party and now you go crying to the international community. Mumba, what a waste, you are a disgrace to christianity. What a headless chicken you are. Why did you join politics if you knew you were such a pathetic coward? How can you go and embarass yourself in a foreign land like that? Which normal thinking leader in the whole world have u ever seeing going to hold a press conference to discredit his own country in a foreign land? Are you now campaining in South Africa? Will you get voters from there? I now see why Chipimo is a much better leader that you all put together. He (Chipimo) has shown alot of…

    • Tell your Sata to stop abusing peoples civil rights. No one ever stopped your Sata from holding rallies. But it is the order of the day with these pathetic and tribalist Fools. We wont let you destroy Zambia!

    • There’s no opposition in Zed. From the time PF came into power the so called opposition are behaving like mad men. They rant, they desire to discredit PF and they don’t care if they damage the image of Zambia in the process. This isn’t the first time they’ve acted so unpatriotic. This includes all members of MMD, UPND, ULP PF alike. Today’s gov’t comprises of PF, UPND and MMD. The leader is PF. Where’s the love for Zed?

  23. Justice will real prevail one day and RB will surrender his Passport to the judicial system. I pit him as he is already advanced in age.
The man ran a country into a total messy. Zambia should have been far much better than it is.
During his reign corruption was just, “pick what u want” ie grinding mills, sinking boreholes, burying billions of kwacha etcetera and etcetra.

    • You hate for RB will kill you. It really scares you to have seen the type if development that took plave in mwanawasa and RB reign, in comparison to the 37 yeard if the bemba reign. Chevk iut hiw you were quick at hijacking RB’ road projects which you had condemned orrviousky.

    • @ Seer,This’s the only problem with people with small minds. They only talk about tribes.Honestly, you can’t just argue your case without being tribal? What a way to think in this century !

    • @seer 28.2 is there anything else you can say in defence of RB without bringing up tribalism – especially of the Bemba sort? Have you ever visited with the Bembas to ascertain what you are saying?

  24. Who are you, Sakeni? Rich South Africans not owners of Shoprite, Pick & Pay, Spar,Game Store, Edcon, or these usual chain outlets but wealthy families are not interested in your mickey mouse business deals. Thus far, they want to work with someone who has both the required education and money so as to speed up the process of doing business in the region and in particular in Zambia. Zambia has bargaining chips in negotiations involving possible massive investments designed to create qualitative employment, its minerals and an educated wealthy presidential candidate.

    • You are suggesting those RSA tycoons want to impose HH for their czsh? Then we will again be right to choose Sata in 2016!

  25. Capitalists run all these so called democratic states and they are fed up with a discredited government whether you cry as victims or not, they will infect change. Zambia is not Zimbabwe. In Zimbabwe there are uranium deposits and capitalists’ interests are not as important as they are in Zambia.
Multinationals are autonomous, meaning that host governments and governments in which they are headquartered do not control them but the multinationals influence political governments’economic policies. Even the political power enjoyed by governments is prescribed by multinational coporations

    • @BOON & WHATEVER#28
      Omissions and errors above
First paragraph and first sentence, …. and ‘when’ they are fed up with a discredited government whether you cry as victims or not, they will ‘effect’ change of governments.
In second sentence. In Zimbabwe they are ‘no’ uranium deposits……

    • @ndobo#28.2
Note that when I leave out a word/s or a term/s, I always indicate to readers of my posts that something is missing which is normal to any person of fair minds unlike you.
You wrote ‘those’ as ‘thoses’. Those is a plural for that. I guess you wanted to write ‘those’, look at all interpretations of ‘those’ please.
You misspelt or misspelled ‘omissions’ You wrote your own word which sounds like omissions but it is not.
You wrote this ‘ommissions’ What is this?

  26. These are most cowardish opposition leaders have ever seen in this world, are they campaigning in SA? Is SA where there voters are and who are they trying to defend, themselves or Zambian?, have u ever seen a any opposition leader who discredit his country in a foriegner land? Not even in a USA where u can discredit your president or country in a foriegn land. Zimbabwe and Congo have the most human abuse but I have not seen any opposition leader discredit their country in a foriegn land. Zambia twasebana like kapwempwe said. Fight your battles at home and protect your country dignity in foriegn land and your people, that’s what the best leaders does

    • Game of politics 101 Ensure that the opposition loose grounds especially in their strongholds. Weaken your opponents.
Game of politics 102 Maintain your cool and do not play victim
Game of politics 103 Always let people have hope in you. Show your strengths.
Game of politics 104 Don’t loose sight of the greater good – building the image of your country
Game of politics 105 Change strategic tactics and be ahead of the game.
Game of politics 106 Never seek external help because this confirms how weak you have become.
Game of politics 107 Always remember to seek people’s input before you act on their behalf.
Game of politics 108 A government includes the opposition. Never say the government is bad, talk about policies.
Game of politics 109 Never blacklist for your own country

  27. I have said, these are *****s, not politicians but *****s. How can you claim to be a leader and start supporting that ***** thief Banda. This is indeed the work of *****s.
Let me remind those *****s calling them selves opposition members of Parliament, that should they chose not to vote to remove the immunity of Banda they should count them selves dead.

  28. @BOOM & WHATEVER#28, omissions and errors, sorry for any inconveniences caused
Oops, first paragraph and in the last sentence. “In Zimbabwe there are no uranium deposits and capitalists’ interests are not as important as they are in Zambia.”
First paragraph and in the first sentence. “Capitalists run all these so called democratic states and ‘when’ they are fed up with a discredited government whether you cry as victims or not, they will ‘effect’ change”

    • @ BOOM……. wa ndobo te?… hahahahah donot worry you get used as you grow….. about those ommissions and mistakes….its a learning curve, donot worry! cheer up, mwaiche. next you will get it right

  29. we voted 4 pf and we shl do evry thing posible to defend it. as 4 rb, its like he is stil in active politics, gvt wthdraw ur supot. mumba and hh, being an opposition leader is nt a pass to say whtever comes frm ur mouth. u hatred 4 sata wl mak u look foolish. stay where u ar nerver come back. tribalist hh. y is chipimo nt taken to court? look wht he says and compare tht to th vomits u always make. hh ur hatred ws seen b4 sata could bcom president.

  30. Sakeni.. you are one of the useless minister of information and government spokesman Zambia has ever had.How on earth do you issue some commentries over a matter that is before the courts of law.Your comments and conduct are prejudicial and you should be cited for comtempt of court. This therefore comfirms that you put pressure on courts. Why are you scared of talking about Kabimba’s and Nchito’s issues. You have brought a judge who is chewing tax payers cash for doing nothing.Shall we just say ,your government is worse than that of Idi Amin

  31. I see two issues out of Sakeni’s outbursts, Firstly Rupiah Banda is not the right man to talk about championing the fight against human rights abuses when he brutally tortured and killed unarmed Lozis for staging protest.
Secondly, the PF government make it impossible for the opposition parties to hold meetings at home which leaves them with no choice but to go elsewhere outside the country. Some are already calling this as an act of treason, really?

  32. Our opposition parties have no calibre, no courage and no brains.. Instead of campaigning in Zambia, they run to south africa to enjoy apples and tele-presence to BBC… these guys like street lights in Rosebank. Seriously tell me which countries Common-wealth has suspended based on frimiz reasons. Nevers, HH and RB must be writing to the commonwealth from Mukobeko.. may be that may attract global attention..Sata and PF campaigned through out their opposition life day en night.. I’m not suprised that MMD is now a Woodland party just like UNDP is a mazabuka party

  33. Shameful act! Real men fight for justice from within! Shame upon you! PF is just “hanging itself” if I were you I would from within, if they have to arrest you let them do so for as many time as they want. You don’t need to go and parade yourselves in SA we are now in a global village, the world is aware of what is going on in Zambia. Some people are great men today for being principled and ready to be arrested.

  34. Rupiah Banda and his puppets must be stopped in their tracks. How dare they to hold a cowardly press conference in SA? Why not in Zambia. So it is a latest human rights violation to investigate and prosecute those who have breached the law? And which common wealthy do they want to suspend Zambia on account of fake human rights violations? I think it is not the British Common Wealth led by Her Majesty the Queen of England, but the common wealthy of thieves.

Elyo naimwe ba makaka mwebalemba mungulu mungulu ukulasapota ifyabupuba tamwakwata tompwe yabantu. Mwakwata tompwe yambwa.

    • Because your stu.pid government would not allow them to. You are going to be exposed for the rubbish that you are. Pathetic Fools!

    • Ba Goncalves, HH was allowed to hold a rally in Kabwata. What did he talk about? No government will allow people to hold rallies for the sole purpose of instigating revolt. If opposition partieis were credible enough to only talk about isses and not politiking, I do not see how any government will stop them. I am still getting over the purpose of the Kabwata. Besides, this move of the opposition will just weaken them further. The Brits are the ones who found Chiluba guilty of plundering and they are calling the RB to be investigated. They had withheld some donor aid to Zambia in RB’s time due to corruption not RB is running to them cruing foul.

  35. Pathetic Fools, you have failed to run the country! The only things you are running are your stinking mouths! You will not be allowed to turn Zambia into a police state.

    • This is the same attitudes your leaders have. If PF has failed to rule the country where are your constructive positions? If what they run are their mouths, what are stinking you running, perfumed mouths? We all know HH, Mumba and the others do not agree with the governance of the PF, that is why they are in other parties. Our country has a way of dealing with the issues. UPND has MPs, MMD has MPs why are all these MPs silent yet the party leaders are busy ranting? Are the true people’s reps, the MPs also calling for Zambia to be blacklisted? No MP went to their respective constituents to seek input of the state of the country. Get a life.

  36. Embarrassing opposition,South Africa has enough problems of its own,Julias Malema never came to Zambia to hold a press conference about South african politics.Ndipo our opposition leaders are really dull, they have run out of steam.Talk to the Zambians please. Will the voter in Kanyama,Kaoma or Kaputa care about these elitist dunderhead politicians?

    • Malema lives in a civilised country where there’s freedom of speech, assembly, association etc. Sata…….nist’s Zambia has no such freedoms. It is now a Police State under Pathetic Fools.

    • @ Rodrik…. malema was a small boy with balls but no brains. Our opposition know Sata´s weakness, Sata used the same international community to ascend to power…. so what do the oppostion, go back to the same people he used and throw stones…. you see! chibaba

    • The difference is that malema did not have to go anywhere to address people. He was was allowed to do so in his own country. He never needed a police permit and even if he needed one he would have been given!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  37. As a PF supporter, i olowezi filu badi when mr. Sukeni commentiz on public ishuzi. He is ignoranti and pipo sink all us PF dull. Sadi.

  38. GOVERNMENT REFLECTION: Once some of their citizens begin to feel more comfortable and secure to conduct their political activities in foreign lands than in their own countries, sometimes it is time for any government, even those that believe that they are the best, to sit and ponder seriously why this should be so. People don’t get out of their countries for nothing, unless they feel that they can’t bear the difficulties of continuing to live there. Most Zambians that are outside working, were driven out due to the perceived poor work and career opportunities. This is a sad development. But there’s a cause behind every action.

    • If I wanted to paint my wife us unmanageable and seek to gain sympathy from my in-laws, relatives, friends, and neighbours I would go them and complain. Then my in-laws, relatives, friends, and neighbours will think I have done everything humanly possible to communicate to my wife but failed. But when they look into the issue and realise that I was just a cry baby seeking support where it is not due, even the little credibility I had would be lost. Banda, Mumba, and HH have issues for which the Zambian people need answers and closures. Why can’t they just own up?

    • Ed , what an example? Are you some st.upid 65 year old chap? You’re very backward grandpa! Enjoy your taxpayer funded life for it is about to come to an end!

  39. COUNTRYMEN AND WOMEN,
WHAT IS SO SCARY ABOUT FACING THE ACC?
KK WENT THROUGH A SIMILAR PROCESS.
    CHILUBA WENT THROUGH THE PROCESS.
SATA MIGHT GO THROUGH THE SAME PROCESS.
    WHAT IS RB HIDING?
GOING TO SOUTH AFRICA IN A SPACE OF 2 WEEKS!
    AT WHOSE EXPENSE? FOR WHAT?
THE MAN IS JUST BUYING TIME…
LET THEM HOLD PRESS CONFERENCES ON THE MOON, UNDER THE SEA, ANYWHERE BUT THEY WILL HAVE TO FACE THE ACC WHEN THEY COME BACK.
    EVEN US AT
    ZWD
KNOW THAT ONE OF THE SPONSORS OF THAT PRESS CONFERENCE IS AMSTERDAM.

  40. When I was in Grade 8, i saw a picture of naked person looking like this man. His name was Zinjaniropas. Are they brothers?

Well, international systems exist to punish public evils and reward public virtues. If the mentioned offences are the only ones, why are they charged with too many offences?

  41. Hyena and his friends have shown that they are just spineless political whimps. Who will benefit from Zambia’s suspension from commonwealth. ??? Commonwealth will not win you votes. Just look at Zimbabwe who left the commonwealth.
ABASH MUMBWE MUMBWE & HYENA HYENA MENTALITY

  42. PF should feel free to hold a press conference at the same venue and in equivalent conditions to prove that Zambia is the still the same free country that helps to liberate all nations of good will. The opposition in many developing countries are generally vulnerable to temptation. If the criminal libel can be proved, then that also needs to brought to a high court.

  43. I FIND IT VERY DIFFICULT TO COMMENT ON THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE OPPOSITION. THIS IS TYPICAL OF A DYING HORSE. INSTEAD OF CONCENTRATING ON WINNING SYMPATHY FROM YOUR OWN PEOPLE, YOU GO AND PARADE YOURSELVES SHAMELESSLY BEFORE A BBC REPORTER TO WASH DIRTY LINEN. THE WORLD ALREADY KNOWS WHAT GOES ON IN ZAMBIA. THERE IS NOTHING NEW THAT YOU WILL SAY. YOU ARE JUST A BUNCH OF BITTER CRY-BABIES. OR ARE YOU ALREADY CONCEDING DEFEAT IN THE FORTH-COMING PARLIAMENTARY BYE ELECTIONS? THE ELECTORATE WILL TEACH YOU A LESSON STARTING WITH LIVINGSTONE THEN TO MPONWE AND DOWN TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT POLLS. YOU WILL BE BEATEN LAMENTABLY, PANTS DOWN. THEN YOU WILL REALISE THAT ZAMBIANS ARE NOT WITH YOU. SHAME ON YOU. YOU MUST GROW UP. WITH THIS KIND OF POLITICS YOU CANNOT DEFEAT SATA AND THE PF.

    • Even if you shout in capital letters; your noise will still not make sense! You’re the reason contraception was invented. Unfortunately rubbish still slips through…….and you’re exbihit 1!

    • Mr Sata used to meet Taiwanese when he was in opposition and condemned his country when abroad. What is different? The POST really did alot of damage to alot of Zambian brains and these POST BELIEVERS only see corruption in MMD. Sad indeed. Let us ALL think of Zambia’s future objectively and independently.

  44. THEY ALL KNOW THE OUTCOME OF L/STONE AND MPONGWE BY-ELECTIONS AND ARE THERFORE USING EVERY WAY TO DESTABILISE THE COUNTRY INCLUDING USING THE MAPATIZYA FORMULAR. MMD & UPND YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED, ESPECIALLY MMD. THEY HAVE FAILED TO RUN THEIR PARTIES AND ARE NOW ACCUSING GOVT. UPND SHOULD HAVE HEED PROF. CHIRAW’S ADVICE BEFORE LAST GENERAL ELECTIONS, NOW THEY HAVE TURNED GREEN WITH ENVY AND WANT TO SPOIL IT FOR PF. POLITICS ARE NIETHER FOR UNDER FIVE’S NOR PEOPLE RUNNING AWAY FROM GOD (LIKE JONA IN THE BIBLE).

  45. Pipo have no freedom in their mother land…..Thats Shameful!I have never head of Republicans holding a meeting in Canada Coz they fear the brutality of Obama and yet he is the most powerful man on planet Earth….Chansoni sana…we are leaving in fear.God bring 2016 closer….it will a real victory for Zambia and not the ‘donchi kubeba”.

    • Indeed how sad that as we navigate our 49th year of independence; Zambians are still not enjoying freedom of association and assembly! Youre free anywhere else but not in your own motherland! How sad!

    • WHO IS DENYING WHOSE FREEDOM? HH HELD HIS LONG AWAITED RALLY IN KABWATA AND IT FAILED LAMENTABLY. YOU ARE FREE TO INSULT THE PRESIDENT DAY AND NIGHT ON SUCH BLOGS AS LT, ZWD ETC. WHAT OTHER FREEDOM ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
LOOK, THE CURRENT CROP OF OPPOSITION ARE A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT THEY ARE BETTER THAN SATA. BUT TO THEIR AMAZEMENT, SATA HAS PROVED TO BE A PEOPLE’S DARLING. THE OPPOSITION IS BENT ON DISCREDITING SATA BUT THEY HAVE FAILED BECAUSE OF SATA’S STRONG DOMESTIC SUPPORT. SO THEY HAVE RESORTED TO USE THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY. UNFORTUNATELY FOR THEM, THAT COMMUNITY DOES NOT TAKE PART IN POLLS IN ZAMBIA. WAIT FOR ZAMBIANS TO SPEAK IN THE FORTHCOMING BYE ELECTIONS. EVEN A SIMPLE BBC REPORTER TALKING TO MUMBA SAW THE DE-MERITS OF THE FALSE ALLEGATIONS.

  46. Why the rush to disassociate RB from the group? His people must have realised that it will back fire and cause more damage on the reputation of their man.The opposition has become spineless in Zambia and the commonwealth is just a club open for any country to join, you don’t have to be a former British colony. If they had any evidence for the so called crimes, why not put it on camera, this a digital era. Telling fictional stories like South Sudan militias and ethnic cleansing will not buy them any sympathy from any serious organisation. We need strong politicians in the opposition not these misfits. Their histories are filled with failure, how do you expect them to succeed now?

    • Oh dear! Feeling the pressure eh? Youre crimes are being exposed stu.pid incompetent, tribalist, thieving and clueless monkeys! There’s no more hiding for you! The whole world now knows about your shennanigans!

    • @Mama, if there’s a part of your anatomy that is itching be advised I am not the one to scratch it! Go sc.rew yourself! Why do you pathetic failures feel bad when people are exercising their freedom of conscience? Get lost stinking mo.ron! By the way I am not conversant with your primitive language. I WILL WRITE WHAT I LIKE!

  47. Any sensible people know that imposing sanctions on a country does not affect the leadership, but the people. Did Robert Mugabe suffer when his country was cut from the commonwealth and donor funding? No. It was the ordinary people. Do not throw childish temper tantrums.

    • Stop misrepresenting stuff. Sanctions on Zimbabwe were imposed on the leadership not the the citizens. Mugabe and his little girl Grace and their sycophants are not allowed to set foot in Europe or US except for UN business. It will be the same with these Pathetic F.ools. There will be no trips for UKwa and his corcubine to go and spend Taxpayers money in London! If the Commonwealth also follows suit, I am afraid someone’s nuts will also stop been untreated! Rather than crying foul PF should stop behaving like rabid dogs and start behaving like human beings! It is disgusting that someone can spend 10 years in opposition to only come and cause grief to the nation! Some people are the reincarnation of pure evil! Disgusting excuse for a human being!

    • Gonclaves, have those travel bans hurt Mugabe in any way? Have they improved the lives of Zimbabweans in any way? Are Zimbabweans safer from Mugabe now? I understand that you might assume that I am defending PF, but the truth of the matter is that the opposition are going around this the wrong way. I am speaking as a Zambian who would like to see some change, but using mature strategies that actually work, not temper tantrums and using formulae that only hurt the masses.

    • Equalizer, do not waste time on Goncalves. Zambia will not be suspended from the Commonwealth. Zuma just masacred protesting miners and they think arresting HH and Mumba are human rights violations. people died under the strong arm of Mugabe and it was the international community that called for the expulsion. Today, our brothers are calling for Zambia to be blacklisted and they think when they come into power, say 2045 that is when zambia shall be saved. Dreamers!

    • @Equalizer and ED just enjoy your taxpayer funded life! Your clueless govt has failed and your life support will soon be disconnected! Who the heck told you that your stinking PF govt controls the world? You stop the opposition from having meetings in their own country and now you’re saying that they cant even meet in foreign countries. Who the bloody hell do you think you are? Ba Kolwe! You have soiled the name of Zambia!

  48. While I do not support the hard handedness of these Govt on the opposition, I strongly abhor the cowardice with which the opposition is trying to register there grievances. It is only Zambians who can revolt against the GoVt and not South Africans who have nothing to do with the Zambian problems. Why should the opposition seek sympathy from foreigners and not it’s own people whom they want to serve? The opposition in my view are not trying to represent the interest of Zambians, but to the contrary, it is for their own self preservation. Have you ever seen the opposition from eveb the worst repressive Govt of Zimbabwe run to go and wage the war from SA or Zambia? This war against the PF Govt can only be waged by Zambians and Zambians only and not the Amsterdams. Opposition grow a SPINE!!!

    • They are not seeking sympathy from South Africans, they just had a meeting there. They could have it in Iraq, When govt cannot allow opposition to have any peaceful meeting without PF carders stoning them, they have to resort to this. The fact is Mumba and RBs political careers are finished. As for HH, he needs to go back to running his business he has nothing to offer Zambia

  49. Childish response from the govt, immature behaviour by opposition, Zambia is really doomed. It explains why the country has never made any economic strides to benefit it’s citizens. Bickering and cheap politicking is the chief business of Zambia. It’s time the country wants professional leadership. The govt and the opposition are currently in the delinquent stage of youth and need to grow up!

  50. THIS GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN PLAYING WITH FIRE FOR TOO LONG.
RB HAS BEEN LEFT TO ROAM THE STREETS FAR TOO LONG,
MEANWHILE HE HAS BEEN BUSY MOBILIZING PUBLIC AND INTERNATIONAL SYMPATHY AND OPINION COS HE KNEW THAT HIS TIME IN COURT WILL SURELY COME.
RB IS NOW A LOOSE CANON.
HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CAGED, LIKE LEVY DID, MONTHS AGO.
NOKOLAS SAKOZSY OF FRANCE WAS DRAGGED BEFORE COURTS SHORTLY AFTER THE NEW GOVERNMENT TOOK OVER.
MR PRESIDENT, ACT NOW OR HE TOO WILL GO INTO EXILE LIKE HIS SONS.

  51. COUNTRY MEN AND WOMEN,
HH, CHILUBA AND RB BELONGED TO THE SAME CLUB OF PLUNDERERS.
HH WAS LUCKY LEVY TO EVADE LEVY’S NET.
    WHICH INVESTMENT GAVE HIM MILLIONS?
IN CHINA, USA, UK, NIGERIA, SOUTH AFRICA AND EVEN ZAMBIA, WHEN AN ACCOUNT HITS A MILLION, YOU FREELY COME OUT AND SHARE THE EFFORT AND EXPERIENCE.
    WE ALL KNOW HOW
    HACHILALA OF ZAMBIA,
PATRICE MOTSEPE OF SOUTH AFRICA ETC
    AMASSED THEIR WEALTH.
WHERE DID HH GET HIS MONEY?
HE IS JUST ANOTHER PLUNDERER IN WAITING, READY TO POUNCE.

    • Why dont you tell us how they acquired their wealth rather than assuming that everyone knows? Does everyone even know who these people are?

  52. I just need a simple yes or No answer.
    1. Did Rupiah Banda and family plunder national resources Yes or No
    2. Did Nevers Mumba mismanage finances Canada? Yes or No
    3. Was Hikainde Hichilima right to alarm the nation? Yes or No
    4. Is Hikainde Hichilima an occultist? Yes or No
    5. Is Rupiah Banda right in defending his son james? Yes or No
    6. Is Nevers Mumba behaving as a man of God? Yes or No
    7. Are HH, RB & NM right by calling for blacklisting Zambia? Yes or No

  53. Plz allow the zambian people freedom of speach freedom of assembly and freedom of worship weather hindus christians or muslims twapapata!!

  54. mr minister, desperation has forced this small thinking under 5 opposition leaders to do anything to get to p1. Unfortunately for them, none has the balls to endure a patient and strategically planned game like MCS did. To them this must be achieved fast like they did with their wealthy. Simply steal from privatisation and tithe from poor congregants and u are there. Thats why they cant think properly poor people’s spirits they stole from, trouble them.

  55. Does the Zambian law prohibit anyone from having a meeting in a foreign country? That’s the problem with our govt, you are quick to comment on useless things, and yet you cannot address real issues. No wonder you are a useless boma

  56. Someone has said that the best way is for the international community should impose travel sanctions to USA, India, UK (EU) and South Africa on top PF leaders. This will teach them to respect human rights

  57. Alberto Fujimori Fujimori[ born 28 July 1938) served as President of Peru from 28 July 1990 to 17 November 2000. In April 2009, Fujimori was convicted of human rights violations and sentenced to 25 years in prison for his role in killings and kidnappings by the Grupo Colina death squad during his government’s battle against leftist guerrillas in the 1990s.In July 2009 Fujimori was sentenced to 7½ years in prison for embezzlement, after he admitted to giving $15 million out of the Peruvian treasury to the former intelligence service chief, Vladimiro Montesinos. Two months later in a fourth trial, he pled guilty to bribery and was given an additional six-year term.Under Peruvian law all the sentences must run concurrently, with a maximum length of imprisonment of 25 years.

  58. Hon. Kennedy Sakeni MP, I am sure that as a “sensible” and well educated person in the matters of human rights and established democratic principles, you must agree that after all, it was better allowing opposition meetings within borders of the Republic of Zambia instead of gaining bad publicity abroad?

  59. PF Sata…..nists are quaking and quacking! Youre christmas will soon be coming to an end! You’re Father Christmas is about to kick the bucket………….the only Father Christmas to ever do so!

    • Gonclaves, you seem to be quite a bitter individual. You seem to the one foaming in the mouth as you accuse others. Your bitterness is blinding you, and you are abusive. You are as arrogant as HH, who, when you do not agree with his opinion you are the enemy. Someone advised me not to waste my time on you. I take that timely advice. You really are one bitter muthyrfukkyr

  60. There is nothing wrong holding a press conference from outside, neither does it show cowardice. If your country does not give you the liberty to do so, you look for other solutions. President Sata goes abroad to seek for medical attention not because he is unpatriotic, but because he thinks his country cannot offer him the services he needs. So, going outside is normal. After all, Zambia is not an island.

  61. Embarrassing to have leaders like Sakeni. PF seem to slowly drifting towards failure. We can do better as a country than this nonsense. Get your acts together and work for the people. HOW LONG WILL ZAMBIANS SUFFER AND LISTEN TO YOUR CHILDISH HATE FOR ONE ANOTHER?? WE WANT ACTION NOT TALK ENOUGH SAKENI!!!!!

  62. well said honourable we are very peaceful under pf Govt.these oppositions parties are blood parties .how many people were killed by police under RB in western ,lusaka and luapula provinces? did hh condemn rb over these killings or complain to the commonwealth? no instead he celebrated and today is dining with him.takuli uko baleya ba hungry hyena viva pf lesa in control.

  63. What is most embarrassing is to have unpatriotic leaders like this.If you remember one story a while back a certain girls singing group said on a show in the UK that they were embarrassed to have George bush as their president .When they went back home that marked the end of their career as most people did not like that.My point is nobody fights with their wife and goes to say how bad she is to people.Lets remember we are African lets have a bit of pride for our country. There is nothing that hints to a one party state here .What i see is everyone wants to get to state house at all cost even at the cost of embarrassing the country. What these gentlemen said might make donors step back and who will suffer ?Look at Zim.who is suffering?have a little love for Zambia.

  64. A better response from a “listening government” would have been to deny the allegations and a call for differences between Zambians to be resolved domestically through dialogue and understanding.

Instead the honourable minister treats the nation to a diatribe of hate and bitterness directed against RB (and a lesser extent HH) when this isn’t even about RB (or HH) but about what is happening to the rights to freedom of assembly and expression for all Zambians.

  65. Ubufumu tabwisa ngameno mukanwa. These chaps will never recover from the PF defeat in 2011. HH and Nevers will never rule Zambia.

  66. INFACT SATA AND THE PF GOVERNMENT HAVE BEEN TREATING THESE OPPOSITION LEADERS WITH KIDS GLOVES. ALL OF THEM ARE LOSE CANONS. THERE IS NO COUNTRY WHERE THIS KIND OF LAWLESSNESS IS TOLERATED. THESE OPPOSITION LEADERS ARE DRAGING THE NAME OF THE GOVERNMENT INTO DISREPUTE IN THE NAME OF FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY. ALL THIS IS NONSENSE. THESE ARE THE SAME PEOPLE WHO HAVE VOWED TO MAKE ZAMBIA UNGOVERNABLE. THE PF GOVERNMENT SHOULD SHOW LEADERSHIP AND DEAL WITH THESE TROUBLE MAKERS STERNLY. THESE CHARACTERS DO NOT DESERVE ANY SYMPATHY FROM ZAMBIANS. SATA IS BUSY TRYING TO CORRECT THE WRONGS THAT RB AND HIS TANDEM OF THIEVES DID AND YET THESE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO BRING CHAOS IN THE LAND. LET US SHOW THEM THAT WE ARE DISGUSTED WITH THEIR BAHAVIOUR BY REJECTING THEIR CANDIDATES IN THE FORTH COMING POLLS.

  67. OK. THE FORTH COMING BYE ELECTIONS IN MPONGWE AND LIVINGSTONE WILL SHOW IF ZAMBIANS HAVE APPROVED OF THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE OPPOSITION OR THE OPPOSITION LEADERS HAVE MISFIRED AND DESERVE TO BE REJECTED.

  68. We are not a country at war, I believe? These kinds of actions have a lot of underlying questions. How desperate can one get. People get your acts together.

  69. The Zambian people deserve better than their President.
President Sata has chosen to deliberately go down the road of becoming a dictator. Power corrupts…absolute power corrupts absolutely.
In the end President Sata will be the loser and he should reflect on the fate that awaits him.

  70. Which point ba Maxiwell? Dont you know that the Public Order Act under PF does not allow such gatherings? How were they going to gather peacefully in the wake of the public order act? Please be reasonable. If chances to express yourself cant prevail in your own country, then do it elsewhere!

  71. sakeni resembles zinjathropus or Ape man of history i learnt for sure. lets go mapatizya formula and can i have more pan brinks, please?

  72. It is official, this is the worst Govt Zambia has ever had this far. If you deny your opponents even to hold a committee meeting to discuss issues and you put them in cells, and the only reason you give to exonerate your actions is that you are not party to the law you are applying then you do not think properly. These guys are tire of going to the cells for wrong things they will definitely travel to countries where sanity prevails to hold meetings there. We now have a close that needs a degree to aspire for the office of presidency the reason is in the pudding and callers of such are vindicated. The advise to PF is please even though you are rullng at the wrong time(old UNIP style) times have changed. PF, change with the time and leave hypocrisy behind. You held all the meetings freely.

  73. Pls people do not take the peace Zambia enjoys for granted it seems the spirit of one Zambia One Nation is not being promote by both the ruling party and the opposition. What happened to the Indabas we saw in Mwanawasa’s Govt.what happened to dialogue? Why resort to impose Public order act.Police call out being saved while some one is in dock before a Judge.Naimwe ba opposition your solution of holding a gathering outside your own soil can only discredit Zambia please refrain.Remember the Mwanawasa fought to repeal article 4 by using his profession as a lawyer. Now why are you so scared to deal with the issue the public order act dont you have credible lawyers on your side.Has Sakwiba failed you?try other means. That’s democracy for you.

  74. I APPEAL 2 THE PF GOVERNMENT 2 HIT DESE CHILDISH ADULTS WHERE IT MATTERS MOST. @CONGRAVE ,YO MADNESS Z EVIDENT N Z DRIVING U SO FAST 2 THE LAND OF LUNATICS. IF I HEAR THAT ZUMA Z BEHIND DIS I CAN’T B SUPRISED .HE Z JUST LIKE RB ,CORRUPT CHAPS!

  75. WHAT AN UNOBJECTIVE STRATEGE! ONLY CRIMINALS WILL BUY INTO THAT. MUMBA U NEED DELIVERANCE. CAN THE BRETHREN SIT DOWN THESE MAN AS HE MOVES INTO SATANISM EACH DAY THAT COMES. CAN HE B SAFE WHEN IS IN COMPANY OF MASONISTS,SAKWIBA,RB AND HH? IT IS SAD.
