Power Dynamos failed to emulate Zanaco in Africa today when they were booted out of the Confederation Cup.
The Kitwe giants fell 2-0 away to CR Caala of Angola in Huambo this afternoon.
Caala wiped out a 1-0 deficit from the first leg played on February 17 in Kitwe to advance 2-1 on aggregate.
Power’s exit has left Zanaco as Zambia’s sole representative in Africa after they advanced 3-2 on aggregate in their 2013 CAF Champions League preliminary round tie against Mbabane Swallows of Swaziland.
Meanwhile, Caala took a 1-0 lead into the break through their Senegalese midfielder Alioune Gueye in the 9th minute to make up for missing the first leg due to visa problems.
Ze Augusto put the results beyond doubt scoring Caala’s second in the 68th minute.
This is the second successive season that Power has made an early exit from African club competition.
Last year, they bowed out in the first round to TP Mazembe in the 2012 CAF Champions League.
Too bad.Iam of the view that maestro kabola was unfairly treated.
Angolan club football is better funded than ours so I expected a rout. But ba Power being previous holders of this cup should have dug in
Which cup are you referring to?
No other cup except this one the confederations cup of course
power dyn bought hopeless players for a team that is well sponsored. Power do not have a strong headcoach. Get Fighton now and let him make a strong team for you. Zanaco will also lose to Pirates.

What can a good coach do without good players???
Fupuba.
Power Dynamos did a good job, Zambian club playing with any Angolan club is same as playing any club from Soudi Arabia, ask Tana, Milanzi, Felix Katongo and more.
FOOLISH. THAT IS WHY WE LOST DURING AFCON IN FIRST ROUND. WE AFRE NOT IMPROVING. POWER OUT IN THE 1st ROUND. ATASE.
Bitter pill to swallow!!!
Aba yellow what an embarrassment, you need a good and a top coach.
Its not about the coach, its about the players themselves to blame, after all its their duty to win and get paid……..
Honestly did we expect to win after that play in Kitwe?
