Debutant striker Bonwell Mwape grabbed a brace as Zambia beat Zimbabwe 2-0 in a friendly to end a nine-month winless drought.
This was in match played at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka to mark the 20th anniversary of the 1993 Gabon Air Disaster.
Mwape, 23, of Nchanga Rangers was on target in the 30th and 80th minutes.
Herve Renard’s side last won in August 2012 beating Zimbabwe 2-1 in a friendly at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
we shud not even be proud… what is Zim Zim when it comes to umupila
so then what would be your comment if they lost?
Well we can’t lose to a weak team ba sir. Dinky’s spot on
August 2012 was not Zambia’s last win. We beat South Africa in Johannesburg in Novermber 2012 during the Nelson Madela cup
Remind them
Zambian journalists are so full of lies yet nowadays they even have internet to aid their lame memories. The Nelson Mandela cup is in Zambia you dumb reporters!
Well done boys! but this is a sign that our future lies in the introduction of fresher legs. I think its time for a totally new outfit. I don’t see any more flair in players like Kalaba, Sinkala, the Katongos, Himoonde,Chansa, Mayuka, Musonda and even Mweene these days! The way to go is: Fwayo Tembo, Mukuka Mulenga, Kampamba, Sakuwaha, Jacob Mulenga, Mbola, Mbesuma, Chisamba & Kangwa. We do however have a serious problem in the goalkeeping department – I don’t know who the best replacement for Mweene is.
Bonwell mwape ..ah another bemba boy , why this country kabwalalas dominate?
Bonwell Mwape (Bonny) is a very talented young man with a lot of strength. Watch this boy; he is real National Team Material.
Congratulations Chipolopolo, Yangu Tata, after such a long
