Dennis Liwewe-Experience against Lesotho will be key

Share

Retired soccer commentator Dennis Liwewe says Zambia should rely on experienced players in Saturday’s 2014 World Cup qualifier against Lesotho at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Chipolopolo coach Herve Renard has included ten local players in his squad to face Lesotho.

Liwewe believes Renard must be cautious over inexperienced players’ ability to perform in crucial matches.

“Our advice is that they (technical bench) should play the players that are experienced in international football competitions. Don’t ignore the old and experienced players,” he said.

“The young and new players may be impressive on the home front but when it comes to international football you need exposure. I am not saying don’t use new players but use one or two at a time,” Liwewe added.

He added:” In strategic planning you reach a crucial point where you need experience and wisdom on the pitch.”

  1. We thank God for” Prof” Liwewe, each time you speak you give alot of wisdom to many of us . Live long father and God bless you.

  2. I miss you Sir! How I wish you could be in the commentary box of the new stadiums Ndola and Lusaka “Broadcasting from the western direction as Zambia defends to our left attacking to the south” or something like that! “As the ball rolls into touch for a Zambia throw!” Dennis Liwewe has had no equal!

  3. The best commentator so far in my opinion , you didn’t have to be present at the stadium to watch how the game was going. The Doctor gave it to us exactly as it was played on the ground 🙂
