Ministers not doing their job – Nawakwi

Share

Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) president Edith Nawakwi has charged that Ministers not doing their job but merely seating and eating tax payers money.

Ms Nawakwi has told Qfm News that she disappointed especially with Health deputy minister Dr. Patrick Chikusu who she says seems not to be concerned with the plight of patients that are dying on a daily basis due to lack of medical kits in the rural areas.

She says there is need for Ministers to serious change their attitude towards the plight of the suffering majority Zambians that put them in office.

Ms Nawakwi has warned Ministers that their failure to give an ear to the Zambian people and the opposition leaders will cost them.

Ms Nawakwi explains that she personally called the deputy minister of health to do an on the spot check in some clinics in Nakonde that have had no drugs and labour kits for women that were due for delivery but that Dr Chikusu ignored her and instead went to visit a construction site within the same area.

The FDD leader has since appealed to President Michael Sata to see to it that such ministers show empathy to the people they serve stating that life and good health is important for every Zambian.

  3. My elder sister Nawakwi is wrong. A conclusion as big as “ministers are not doing their jobs” cannot be arrived at simply by looking at one incident. And you LT even go ahead and report such, surely? Let us be fair to our ministers and not make such conclusions.

it should be; Ms Nawakwi has warned Ministers that their failure to give an ear to the Zambian people and the opposition leaders will cost more peoples lives.

  5. The ministers are doing an admirable job, It is the citizens who are lazy undeducated and expect things without working for them

If I was a minister I would have an offshore account somewhere because in all honest most don’t have a long shelf life, how on earth they are appointed by one person is beyond me in your ludicrous country in 5 years years time or even less when they blink its over, The president has these undeserved tacit powers
I am doing a PhD I know what i am talking about

    Thanks

    • People who have PHD’s never brag about it each time they open their mouths. Why can’t you blog intelligently on these issues affecting Zambians without this PHD fantasy.

    • Well I am living their life (PhD holders) If you had one you wouldn’t have been so desperate to steal my spotlight

I demand to be segregated from the people you undermine judge by your standards and mingle with.
I am different special and untouchable

      Thanks

    • Can’t get past “if I was a minister”.
      What in-the-name-of-all-that’s-holy, are you smoking?

Rest is all blah blah blah…..

    • I blame her parents.

Mushota’s mother and father, if you’re reading this, you did us all a great disservice. We however remain respectful to you.

      (Have you got more children?)

  6. Recently a minister said without shame that they are in government to eat. So Ms Nawakwi is right and simply reiterating what we all already know about PF ministers.
