Supreme Court Judge Elizabeth Muyovwe has nullified the 2011 election victory of MMD Petauke Central MP Dora Siliya.
This was after Losing PF candidate in the 2011 elections Leonard Banda petitioned the election victory of Ms. Siliya in the courts of law.
Mr. Banda had appealed to the Supreme Court after he lost the original petition in the High Court.
In delivering judgement this morning, Judge Muyovwe stated that there was overwhelming evidence of widespread corruption in the run up to the election in Petauke Central.
My God………wapia munzi…….
I hope soft bums wont get harder during the campaigns! Politcs is a game, PF tactics working!
Can Zambian coutrs just call for another generally elections. The courts have seen that 2011 general elections were characterized by BUFI, corruptions, killings etc, it will be for the better interest of the country to have fresh general elections sooner than latter. We can have more than 1/3 bye elections in less than two years.
U have a sick mind…….
are you a fuul?
Yes ! You are right Presidential Material. If the courts are nullifying all these MMD & UPND MP election victories, let them declare all the 2011 election results Null & Void ! so that we can have fresh elections !!! This means even the presidential elections must be declared null and void !!!!
I will miss her finger.
The wages of sin is death.Dora Saliya is heavily paying for the wrongs she did against people.
Welcome Madam Dora Siliya. Some of you just need to be told in this way that there’s something far much higher than politics in this world. You were too excited to an extent of insulting our current President then in opposition. You thought you will never be in opposition. God bless
Next petiton please we want more seats
This is joke, seriously!!
Dont know if I will miss her
Ba-Siliya, dont think you are intellegent when you are not! How gonna u shake your soft bums or raise your accusing finger in parley?
Guys lets go and line up in petauke central….the time to touch BUMS has come!
nice style. may be she can raising that elsewhere. she has never been a parliament material. let those with mature minds get there. hope she’s not fully embalmed by zambeef to remain in our sight. hahaha
PF is a working Government and in fact ,we are in dire need of more than 2/3 seats to engulf our dull Opposition. Supreme court, what are you waiting for? Can you nullify all pending seats which were petitioned by PF as all of them were marred by rampant corruption. We are sorry! Ba-Sililya, pride comes before a fall. We surely shall miss your raised finger and soft bums in Parley.
THIS WAS LONG OVER-DUE. SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE ONE TO GO FIRST LOOKING AT HOW SHE MASSIVELY ABUSED HER POSITION. WELL DONE OUR LEGAL SYSTEM. YOU ARE NOW WORKING INDEPENDENTLY AND PLEASE SERVE THE PEOPLE AND NOT POLITICIANS. HERE YOU HAVE SERVED THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE.
Chibesakunda is going to pass judgement against MMD MP because that is why she is illegally occupying the office of CJ
Zambia in the sun!!
@ Maps. Indeed wapya munzi! This is the proverbial beginning of the end for the MMD. Surely the the process of embalming the MMD is truly in full gear. Not even the the ill gotten cash from the Zamtel/RP Capital saga can save it.
This is good news!! Teach them a lesson Judges.
Dr phil, mwaiche wanda those soft bums are for big men like me. She is my given natural wife before the earth was created. Tufwenepo fwebene fwebamwine. She cries mbuya don’t stop touching my soft bums . Sure mwe babemba mulibakali
by-elections always brings quick development already chipata is receiving it we cant wait for more by-elections
Another by-election. Such a poor country spending money unnecessarily.
Iwe mwana that’s the only time we see roads being worked on…works out well for me!
I was also surprised when the High court let Dora go. Now the supreme court is working. This is a warning also to PF that if you will use corruption to win any seat, it shall be nullified. PF dont be corrupt in the way MMD was, learn from what is happening to MMD.
Now dora will be raising her long finger at herself.
Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.
whe people say that corruption is expensive, they mean it. Let us not put blame on PF but on the individuals that indulged in corruption.
Time has caught up with Siliya…she thought she was untouchable even going to an extent of humiliating ex-husband chisha folotiya. Ala time is the master mind. Where will u raise ur middle fingers from? He who laughs last laughs the loudest hahahahahahaha!!!!
Sorry Dora but you have to go. If there is anything that will make you feel better please let me know!
THE JUSTICE SYSTEM IN ZAMBIA IS WROTTEN. IT IS SAD THAT ONLY THE OPPOSITION IS LOSING SEATS AND NOT THE RULLING PARTY. I THOUGHT THAT IT THE REASON FOR SUPREM COURT JUSTICES TO BE THREE AT LEAST WHEN DETERMINING CASES TO AVOID THE ONE MAN JUDGE ERRORS WHICH HAS BECOME PART OF JOB DISCRIPTION AT HIGH COURT AND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS COURT. IT DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF HAVING A LEGAL WHOSE DECISIONS ARE A ONE MAN SHOW. AT LEAST ITS GOOD TO HAVE JUDGEMENTS IN DESCENT.
Iwe shut up, PF has also been losing seats mwana.
Iwe, these corrupt practices were done when the current government was in the opposition. You can’t blame them. Those guys thought they would never leave office so they were doing whatever they could thinking nothing would happen. So the courts are just doing their job. They are not cooking anything up. It is as it is.
Why is LT not featuring my comments…
Tukuya vota soti,
Goodbye democracy as we slowly get into the One Party State!!!
ARE WE PEOPLE OF ZAMBIA REALLY SEEING THAT THIS COUNTRY IS HEADING TO ITS DOWN FALL.FIRSTLY PF WANTS TO SILENCE THE VOICE OF THE OPPOSITION, FINALY THE CITIZENS THEN THERE COMES ONE PARTY RULE,TO TELL YOU WE ARE IN FOR MORE HARDSHIPS, THIS GRZ HAS RUN OUT OF MONEY COZ OF THE SAME BYE ELECTIONS HOW MUCH 7 BILLIONS TIMES THE NUMBER OF BYE ELECTIONS SO FAR AND HOW MANY MORE ARE STILL COMING?OH WE ARE DEAD, IF YOU DONT BELIEVE THAT WE HAVE ENTERED A PERIOD OF HARDSHIPS YOU WILL SEE IN ABOUT 6 MONTHS TIME WHERE CIVIL SERVANTS WILL BE GOING FOR MONTHS WITHOUT PAY,WATCH THIS SPACE
In fact for me I was expecting about 50 seats to be successfully petitioned by the PF. Its very easy to prove corruption when you look at the manner in which the MMD was abusing state resources during elections. I know what im talking becoz I participated in that election fully. In Zambia if you use corruption to get to Manda Hill just rest assured that you lose it if you are petitioned. Good chance for some clean corruption free elections. Sorry my dear Dora time is up. Like the Mafioso say “NO ONE STAYS AT THE TOP FOREVER”
We all know that the MPs that were in cabinet or very close to RB run very corrupt campaigns. It is interesting that the High Court Judge that threw out the case saying that the plaintiffs had failed to prove their case is Charles Kajimanga, one of the judges accused of corruption himself and passing favour ale judgements to the MMD. Now a very objective rising star of a Supreme Court Judge, Justice Elizabeth Muyovwe says that there was rampant corruption! Very interesting! I think that the judgements of Philip Musonda, Charles Kajimanga and Nigel Mutuna must be reviewed going back 2 – 3 years.
Stupid Dora! I have never been happy like this before. The news of Dora leaving parliament is the best news I have ever had in my life! Today, God has humbled you Dora.
I foresee doom for Zambians ….
this is unaccepteble and unnecessary
Most people are happy thinking this is punishment for Dora, This is punishment to our poor country, dora won’t foot that election bill, we can’t afford subsidies but we can afford countless bye-elections, we are supposed to be fully represented by now and tackling new problems instead of thinking about voting, people are getting tired
as evidenced by voter apathy, while our poor economy is being sidelined
gabriel namulambe spent more corrupt money than siliya. fact.
Mwakalombe japhen spent more corrupt money tha siliya. fact.
MMD spent more money in chilanga than in petauke. fact.
think before you write your trash you sons of smelling bitches
