Chipolopolo striker Collins Mbesuma has been ruled out of this
Friday’s crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Ghana away in
Kumasi.
National team doctor Joseph Kabungo has confirmed that Mbesuma is yet
to recover from an ankle injury he sustained while playing for his
South African side Orlando Pirates last month.
“Collins is doing very well but I think it is a little premature to
bring him back now he needs a little bit more time. It’s an injury and
it’s not a fitness problem. he has an ankle problem on the right,”
Doctor Kabungo said.
“At the most two weeks yesterday he trained with the team but after we saw
him later we though it wise he continues with his rehab.
“I think it will be good he continue with that he will be back to
playing sooner rather than later,” he added.
And Doctor Kabungo has declared midfielder Mulenga Mukuka fit ahead of
the Ghana game.
“Mukuka has been training everything is good with Mukuka so on Mukuka
we don’t have any issues I don’t have anything to talk about except
that he is in good health and has completely recovered from his
injury. It is now a technical issue and nothing medical,” he said.
Zambia must beat Group D leaders Ghana to reach the final stage of the
World Cup qualifiers.
so its like mukuka’s new team in SA just wanted to cling on him by exaggerating his injury…..
anyway its good that the boy is okay.

The concern now is Jacob Mulenga. I don’t think Mbesuma would have featured in this game anyway.
This is the reason we need more than 10 first class players on each position so that we avoid last minute panicking, i put the blame on PF for the first time, before you judge me let me explain….. if government would build up to date modern sports facilities in each town at affordable prices and enroll every child from the age of 6 waging on how much income comes in per year per family, those without employment with nul payment, you would see how much talent would be discovered. Instead you are busy with elections and buying spying cameras at colosal sums of money, these ventures wont help the nation in anyway sport would, anyway…. i dont care since world war three is on the door, the Arabs are coming with Russia and America is furious so maybe there wont even be any Brasil 2014!
