Konkola Blades on Saturday beat visiting Kalulushi Modern Stars 1-0 in Chililabombwe to move to sixth place on the FAZ Super Division table.
Striker Humprey Maseneko scored for Beston Chambeshi’s team on 67 minutes.
Maseneko tapped in a Chewe Mukuka cross from close range to give Blades a lead.
Konkola have now increased their tally to 34 points.
Kalulushi were the first to create a clear chance which was wasted by Joseph Bwalya who headed into William Chibale’s palms after 10 minutes.
Maseneko would have scored earlier on 21 minutes but his powerful header inside the box was saved by keeper Lennon Muma.
After this loss, Kalulushi are still third from the bottom of the table on 19 points.
Last Wednesday, Konkola beat Roan United 2-1 in Chililabombwe while Kalulushi lost 2-0 to Kabwe Warriors.
