What has happened to the PF Messiah?

Barely two years ago, the architect of the PF Movement was ceremoniously welcomed with such a huge sense of anticipation by a cross-culture- diversity of Zambians.People lined up for hours to cast their bet on the supposedly messiah who would redeem them from the economic oppression they had endured under the Banda government.

People had such an enormous optimism in their upcoming savior.Zambians were hungry and desperate for a leader who would not only redeem them from the corrupt, immoral and economic treacherousness of the previous government, they wanted a strong leader who would navigate them through the economic wilderness into the land of prosperity.

But did Zambian people get the leader they bargained for? It suffices to say that the messiah they had hopped for has turned out be nothing but an absentee father who has abandoned his children in the wilderness to protect and fend for themselves.

People did not vote for a leader who would only surface when it is time recommission some overdue project or leader who would only appear during times to appease some recycled politicians at ridiculous swearing in ceremonies.

The biggest problem in Zambia isn’t necessarily so much about economic mismanagement than it’s about lack of skilled leadership, particularly lack of presidential leadership skills in the current government. People want a virtuous, a forthright and a strong leader and in the absence of genuine leadership, they’ll listen to anyone who steps up to the microphone. They want leadership. They’re so thirsty for it they’ll crawl through the desert toward a mirage, and when they discover there’s no water, they’ll drink the sand. Mr. Sata, please show some leadership.

  1. When we told you that this was an empty tin you insulted us…

The thinking capacity of someone who has never been to school can not grasp the complexity of running a government…

This guy simple has not got the grey matter period….

    • @TheEngineer(Australia) …Its sad that your parents had no idea of contraceptive methods before you was born….I am sure they regret that day all they sing is we wish………?

    • “Ask not what your country can do for you…………..” JFK

As long as we are forever bleating this song, nothing will happen.

Rarely do individuals make a difference – the system should be what we are looking at for delivery.

    • School certificates is not key to good leadership. Its wisdom, selfless, understanding and care for your job and people. America had Bush with MBA and schooled Obama for example but they are in a mess. Closer to home, the Chiluba government had schooled people with acclaimed certficates but the Zambian economy nose dived coupled with plunder, corruption, promiscuity and me me mentality. Zambia for example has millions of schooled people but still is going down hill.

  2. its a pity that masses are suffering, banda became excited and did away with people like magande and got puppets, there is no civility in pf government everybody is there to eat, nurses are on strike who cares?

  3. The bemba`s say that “abakali tabalanda landa”.I bet you Zambians are just used to the 19:00 ZNBC news which always used to start with “president Levy Mwanawasa or Rupiya banda…” High time you got used to a leader who doesn`t crave the media too much.If he continued with being all over the country you are the same people who could have had said that he travels too much or that “Maybe he still thinks he is still in the opposition, let him tone down a bit.” A human will forever be a crazy being.

    • Saulosi young man, does it make sense to you that when the prez comes back from National duties, he avoids the press like the plague and then bolts for the chopper to go hibernate in State House? Does that really make sense to you truthfully? Almost every president in the world dates the press at the airport and gives a brief update of his trip IRRESPECTIVE of whether we have already heard it on the news. It is the norm and people feel ‘included’ and relevant. What your Prez does is like a dad who has been away for sometime, gets home and rushes straight to the bedroom without greeting or briefing anyone on how he moved. I gotta hand it to you though, you’re a genius at covering up the shortcomings of this very simpleminded man. Kudos.

    • you are a fool i tell you, no add feelings, what do you know about the operations of ZNBC other than you siting on your fathers couch, with your round nose…………………….

  4. Yes Zambia. You have missed it again. The backward trend continue and one wonders if ever we will develop. We had reached the highest level of development in 1964 since then it is downward trend. Busy feeding on empty promises.

  5. And what type of president nevers talks to his people – has the incumbant ever given a press conferecne?
He even refuses to be interviewed.

  6. If you cant see the massive developments taking place then don’t know. Roads are being constructed. Massive Jobs are being created. Infrastructure is coming up rapidly. PF is working despite those squabbles taking place. PF in 2 years has done what MMD failed to do in 20 years. Long live Sata

    • Go to school so that you learn what a good Gornment can do for the country and everyone but not just employing the relatives for the president.

    • Cant you see that the prices of almost everything has gone up by more than 50% in the last two years? The so called salary increaments for civil servants already the medical personnel are on strike coz the increase is less than 4%. Where is the more money in the pocket they promised?

    • Amazingly, you are insisting that PF Government has done so much in two years time. For us to see what you mean in particular, show us in writing the items that you have done. Try again.

    • My friend, roads have always been constructed, massive jobs were often created, and anything that you would like to say was planned by MMD. The only item that PF has done so well and was never done before is this apparent misunderstanding and tribal considerations. Hence divisions in the PF management. In short, go home, you are doing nothing here. Ciza uli?

  7. Micheal Sata is too old to run a gvt.Infact it’s finishing him each day that comes, there did that to Mwanawasa, why is mrs Sata allowing the president to suffer?
Mr Sata your healthy is more important than politics. If you died today somebody would take the presidency quickly and people would forget you fast like you never did anything for them.
Kabimba is another good example just in case you are doubting.

  8. @TheEngineer(Australia) …Its sad that your parents had no idea of contraceptive methods before you was born….I am sure they regret that day all they sing is we wish………nga sitina nyengane…?

  10. @haleisa halenya
Forgive this over glorified artisan posing as engineer. Sata is more knowledgable than a petty engineer(australia). The emptiness of his father’s head made him grow up with a low self esteem hence his public display of clownism and bafoonism.

    • You saying that Sata is more knowledgeable in contraceptives? Mmmmmmmh! As for Haleisa Halenya please Engineer (Australia) forgive him. You know pf cadres get personal instead of debating substance. Probably they are paid.

  11. Mr Sata is a good Minister. He has never been a leader. He is waiting for someone to tell him what to do. So far, he is following KK’s orders.

  12. The next PF Presidential candidate and most likely Republican President after Michael Sata is Alexander Chikwanda. This man is strategically positioned and no one resents him. Though others are busy fighting for the Presidency, oracles seem to have favored Chikwanda for the post and he is ready.
