POLISH Prime Minister Donald Tusk is expected in the country for a three day State visit and will meet President Michael Sata for bilateral discussions.

The two leaders are scheduled to meet at State House, where Mr Tuck is expected to pay a courtesy call on the Head of State.

The Polish Prime Minister, who will be leading a high-level delegation of 30 Polish businessmen, would arrive in Zambia via the Livingstone International Airport on Saturday, October 19, 2013.

Accompanying the Prime Minister will be his wife Malgorzata Tusk, the former Prime Minister, and the Head of Economic Council, Krzysztof Jan Bielecki, the Minister of Transport Construction and Maritime Economy, S?awomir Nowak, the Minister of Health Bartosz Arlukowicz, the Vice-Minister of Polish Foreign Affairs BeataStelmach, and Ministry of Economy Vice- Minister IlonaAnoniszyn-Klik.

Others are the President of Polish Investment Agency, Stanislaw Majman, two members of Parliament as well as two Secretaries of State at the Prime Minister’s office.

This is contained in a statement issued yesterday by First Secretary for Press and Public Relations at the Zambian Embassy in Germany, Yvonne Shibemba.

The Prime Minister and his delegation would then visit Lusaka Museum where he would officially open an exhibition in honour of Cardinal Adam Kozlowiecki, a Polish-born Jesuit missionary who spent most of his life in Africa and died on September 28, 2007, aged 96 and was buried in Lusaka.

Cardinal Kozlowiecki was the first archbishop of Lusaka. The Prime Minister is also expected to officiate at the opening of the Business-Economic Forum in Lusaka to be attended by the Polish Business delegation and the Zambian Business community.

The diverse group of Polish businessmen expected to attend the Business Forum represent important sectors such as the Road construction, Railway construction, Copper mining, Energy engineering, Agricultural machinery, Mining Machinery, Furniture production, Food distribution, Coin and medal printing, Bullet proof producer and Consulting military electronics.

Mr. Tusk would also have an opportunity to visit the oldest Polish Charity Mission in Zambia, Kasisi, and thereafter meet with the representatives of the Polish Community in Lusaka.

The Prime Minister and the delegation is expected to depart for Poland on October 21, 2013.

And Zambia’s ambassador to Poland who is resident in Germany, Bwalya Chiti expressed happiness at the Polish Prime Minister’s visit to Zambia.

Mr Chiti said the visit was a good sign of positive development of business and economic cooperation between Zambia and Poland.

He appealed to the business community in Zambia to attend the Business/Economic Forum on October 21, 2013 and take this opportunity to meet with the Polish business people that would be accompanying the Polish Prime Minister.

    • ha ha ha pipo lyk ENKA bakaikulika nombaline,,,PF is still registering tangibles man…..sorry u got no control of the party’s destiny,,,,will watch as u die slow wit dprssion

    • Enka please give us a break! Sata might not be your favourite right now, but can you hang him by the neck every time he makes a step in the right direction just because none of your endorsed visitors are not his? For your own information, i would rather Polish citizens invest in our country for they are hard working both men and women, unlike some unpatriotic burgers who are only good at throwing stones, i may not clap for every stone turned by our leaders right now but i will certainly give a pat when they do that which is benefitting for every statesman, for once lets not just criticise for the sake of it, give credit were it’s due then can you be trusted, otherwise, we will look at you with the same eye you do your enermies!

    • @Cindy, I do not care who the government invites to invest in Zambia. My only wish is that we have a level playing field. Having worked with all sorts, I have had trouble floating my ideas with the relevant people in Zambia and yet the same things that as a Zambia I can do, the government will pay a listening ear and grant them licences to operate were I as a citizen has been denied the chance. A case of “a prophet not being accepted in his own home land.” I have never wanted to think that perhaps there is something someone in between benefits. I agree though that the Polish are hard working (consequence of changing from socialist to captalist market and realising the benefits).

    • USA, CHINA, UK, Germany, and all Scandinavian countries already know what good they have smelt in my Country Zambia. Nomba na ba Poland? Balapwisha fyonse twakata. Some are coming for security reasons whilst others to smuggle our minerals.

    • By the way, Prime Minister Donald Tusk is not the Head of State for Poland. The President (Bronis?aw Komorowski) is the Head of State. So, the question remains: Why are Heads of State avoiding our country?

    • Prophets of doom have been silenced. They have been saying no head of State had ever visited Zambia shame on us.Poland is well know for infrastructure development majority of the Polish are working in the UK in building of roads housing cheers PF.What is our brother Nevers saying now please don’t despise a small beginning.

    • @ Mfumu,
I understand were you are comming from, believe you me Zambians can be very “funny” people, that should say alot about the foundations of our norms and beliefs, i hope one day things will change for the better.

    • @ Cindy & co: Are you done throwin muck at me? I have every right to say what i said and i’ve seen Sata insult and demean even his visitors yet you hypocrites wouldn’t lift a finger.I stand by my words and hypocrites can go hung.

  1. @Enka…While smart parents avoid producing douche bags like yourself by using contraceptives, your father was not smart enough to use “withdrawal method” instead he released in your mum’s pusssy…what a waste of sperm!.

  2. In a long time foreign high dignitaries are visiting our mother Zambia may be there is something that PF government is doing we are not just appreciating ourselves since we all seem to becoming highly educated critics…VIVA PF Viva President Sata….God bless Zambia

    • All of you insulting Enka: ask George Bush (Senior) and RB what Sata said when Bush came here. Is that not the time when everyone started avoiding Zambia? Since that time other former American Presidents (George Bush junior) have avoided landing in Lusaka, preferring to land in Livingstone.

Anyway I understand, Poland does not have an Embassy in Zambia to advise accordingly.

  3. Bwalya Chiti polygamist has surfaced.

The Prime Minister is not coming on a state visit. He is leading an economic mission. Check the originators of his mission and who is he meeting, and Cindy, Haleisa will be surprised. PF and Bwalya Chiti shall not take credit for what they have not done.

    • Just up sir don’t change your language you have been saying no head of State had ever visited Zambia now you are saying the Prine Minister is coming for something else ask the us who live in Europe Polish people are hard working and honest people they have helped the economy of United Kingdom.PF Govt will finish well under HE Sata weldone PF I’m waiting for a response from our dear brother Nevers

  4. Muli bwanji from Poland. Per your inquiries:
    – It is true that Poland does not have an embassy in Zambia. This may change after the Polish PM visit to Zambia.
    – Poland starts to look for business opportunities in Africa. First, the PM went to Nigeria in April 2013. Now he is visiting South Africa and Zambia.
    – This is also why the PM is coming thru Livingstone: he comes to SA first, then goes from Jo’burg to Livingstone (to see the Falls there, I guess 🙂 ), and then to Lusaka.
    – In Poland, the PM is in charge of economy rather than the president. This is why the PM is coming now. By the way, the Polish president is to visit Africa next year, and he may visit Zambia, too.
    – One of the MPs accompanying the PM is of Zambian origin 🙂 and educated in Poland (PhD in banking).

    Best…

  5. 6. When i say dat some are just obssesed with demons especially of hate ,this z wat i mean .Enka is not himself. furthermore Sata is what GOD says he is. Not what u demons say. The best is to come!Pf ,prove to these demons that u are a great party .

  7. I have a project coming up, I don’t suppose they could hook me up with just 3 or 4 builders from Poland. The guys are hard working and know more about building than some of the dodgy so called contractors in zed claiming to be builders and yet ni ma Daka boys

  8. Anyone who has dealt with Polish workers in the UK would agree that they are very hard working people. Their work ethics is so different from others and the quality is second to none. In fact bring in more of them to work in construction, building and mining. Not these legal thieves we had running the likes of Mopani, KCM whose main interest is to drain the country of its precious resources. By the way who runs Mopani? Australians still? No wonder they are stealing from Zambia.
