Nkana are guilty

Share

Nkana’s league dreams are in disarray after the FAZ disciplinary committee today handed Konkola Blades the 3 points from the two sides abandoned game October 27 at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.

The penalties did not end there; and both sides have been ordered to play their remaining home games behind closed doors.

That development means leaders Nkana will hosts second placed Zesco United in their critical league game on Saturday in an empty fortress at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

Zesco are four points behind Nkana heading into this weekends Week 28 fixture on 50 and 54 points respectively with three games left to play.

And all parties in this case have also been fined K2500.

Futhermore, match commissioner Moses Mweemba has been suspended for misconduct.

Meanwhile, Blades rise from 8th to 6th on 40 points after the verdict.

    • I don’t like Nkana, even their players behaves so rude:
Sate Sate, Evans Kangwa, that Munthali, Festus Mbewe… all just look like they are about to receive a red-card.
FAZ should even send that Masauso Mwale away from Chipolopolo bench.

  1. This is the most useless ruling I have seen by FAZ… There should be a problem with FAZ.. Nkana was attacked by blades supporters but how come they are being punished the most??? Ma rubbish!!!

    • In football retaliation carries a stiffer penalty. The guy who kicked you may get a yellow card but if you kick back you get a straight red.

    • iwe muzungu wa kajo,
      what are you saying?
that they should have turned the other cheek…
      be serious mwana
our faz is full of comedians that’s why our football will continue nose diving.
we were 4th in africa after that afcon success, where are we now? 14th and still falling.

  2. Good move FAZ, i hope the wusakile hooligans would learn something from the action you have imposed on them. wusakile hooligans be mature…..for the sake of mordern football.

  3. Ba LT, you make me think that something is amiss here. How can Nkana be guilty and yet we see Konkola Blades get a share of the punishment? Apa pena mulefwaika ukuchita revisit session ya ku panga ama headline. Very biased. Ama against sana ya moneka. Kalampa!!!!!

  4. Am not nkana supporter,a replay should have been considered, where in the would will u find police using tear smoke in the stadium sure? Fellow police officers, there are better ways to crowd control, let the ops manager submit a report on this unprofessional conduct, suppose a stampede occurred?

  5. Ba GBM, every time ba Nkana goes to Konkola Stadium the Wusakile thugs misbehave alot to the extent of gate clashing and get into the stadium with beer. ZP is over powered only by very dirty insults. Educate or tame your thugs to also stop taking fi shake shake, tu Best beer even at Nkana stadium while their team is beamed live. Those animals embarrass us too much. Remind them that SS televise ZPL in other countries.

  6. By end of tomorow the gap btwn Nkana lumpens and the classy ZESCO will be 1 point. Let’s go ZEGA let’s go!

  7. Good for discipline and morality. Nkana deserve the punishment! How come its only Nkana’s games that are either abandoned or have troubles. Nkana are winning the league because the players are good, skillfull and disciplined but I doubt if this is true for their management and supporter; how does managent fail to reign in supporters? The fan base for Nkana is huge but full of holigans and its high time they missed all their last games. It would have been good to play all three games behind closed gates!

  9. Good in terms of discipline but not to Nkana only to all teams this is an eye opener.Blades have been awarded 3 points but fined together with Nkana K2 500 each team and to play all remaining home games under closed doors meaning without there supporters. Now who was at fault between Blades and Nkana,if Nkana was at fault why giving Blades punishment instead of Nkana alone. All in all the issue has been solved what remains is to make sure you win the remaining games.Go Nkana Go God is with you, wishing you all best Guyz.

  10. FAZ, please why is it that you don’t punish teams that have wronged Nkana, for example at Nchanga stadium their supporters went even to the extent of assaulting a Nkana player [ Mubanga ]. In Chililabombwe all the Nkana supporters of which I was one of them were stoned and chased out of the stadium before they retaliated from out side the stadium. Konkola did not have security to manage their own hooliganism. Your disciplinary committee can only open its dirty mouth when it sees Nkana supporters in their large numbers. What’s wrong with a team having the most followers of all teams in Zambia.

  11. Its amazing so amazing to read such a story. Imagine this happened at Nkana Stadium what could have been the out come? Ba FAZ grow up may be you are dwarfed you cannot grow or learn what you have done is shameful to football in Zambia. I watched the game, Nkana were losing but in football its 90m.KB did not provide adequate security in the stadium but you let them go smiling. Something is seriously wrong in FAZ.

  12. Things seems to be on the cross roads for nkana lets hope to day they get positive results playing on the pitch no noise something else. football on the copperbelt it is all about noise kaya lelo.

  13. ba faz nibwa sana. who is wrong how can they fine both teams at the same time give konkola 3 points. there are *****s at faz who don’t like nkana’s records. no matter what nkana is getting the league.

  14. FAZ!FAZ!The punishment of the wusakile hooligans was not enough. They should have played all their games away.Further more if they repeast their behaviour, deduct all the points and send them to division 1 where they belong.
