Faz yet to conclude with Beaumelle

Share

Patrice Beaumelle has said he has yet to negotiate a permanent contract with FAZ.

Beaumelle said he was still on the same terms as before when he was Herve Renard’s assistant trainer.

“I didn’t sign anything so we have to sit to discuss and of course I will build my staff but at the moment I cannot say anything because it’s too early,” Beaumelle said.

The Frenchman’s current deal runs out in August, 2014.

Beaumelle had the worst possible start as head coach after losing his initial three games, all friendly’s, with defeats against Brazil, Jordan and Egypt.

He turned the corner at the 2013 Cecafa Cup in Kenya where he picked up four wins, a loss and a draw on Zambia’s way to finishing third as guest team at the tournament.

Beaumelle was Renard’s number two from 2008 to October, 2013 when the latter left to take up the job at struggling French club Sochaux.

  1. you dont write acronyms in small letters. its FAZ not Faz. let the care taker coach remain on the assistant ‘s pay till he proves his abilities

    • You don’t write name with small letters “observer” its Observer.
Patrice is still assistant, and his proved his capability by winning and likeability.

  2. Lazy journalism at its best why not pose the selfsame question about Patrice’s contract to Buffoon Kambwili and the characters at Football House.

  3. I just hope next season will be ripe and positively vigilant than the grinding and nashing of teeth we have been subjected to!

  4. Give him a friendly match with Nkana to prove his prowess, and then Malawi, and then Zim. He must remember that he will have to defend cosafa and Mandela cup.
